Wes Out For Six Weeks… Not Three Months

It was reported this week that Wes Brown would be missing for three months after breaking a bone in his foot against Wolves.

More positive reports emerged yesterday though, suggesting the more likely timescale until his return will be four to six weeks, meaning he should make it back for the last three games of the season, but will miss our clashes against Liverpool, Chelsea and City.

“Unfortunately he’s had a career that’s been blighted with injury, and all long-term injuries unfortunately for the lad,” said Ferguson. “He’s got another one and he’ll be out for four to six weeks. I hope that we can get him back for some of the season, but that’s the situation for him.”

he must be the unluckiest player in our squad…..poor wes….just think how good he could have been if not for this horrible tryst with injuries throughout his life!

    Good news i guess
but this season we’ve had too many injuries.
some can be down to bad luck but i also feel our medical staff is somehow responsible. like not identifying the evans injury last season and then not acting on time and also same could be said with vidic.. well hoping for some luckfrom now till the end of the season..
on a positive, rio, vida, gary and edwin have all played a low number of games and injury aside should be able to play back to back for the rest of the season
and nani should be useful to give tony v a rest

This is a great news but still a horrible time to get another defensive injury. I can’t remember a season when we have had so many mid term injuries! I love Wes and thought he was immense earlier in the season against the Chavs at Stamford Bridge. Pressure is on Rio and Vida to stay fit now.

That’s great new’s ,Just in time for him to be away on holiday dammit.
I think this Title race would have been done and dusted had it not been for our defence injuries this season.
I suppose when you look at the big picture, he will be refreshed and ready for next season, along with John, Owen,Micheal its looking great.
I feel like I am godzilla on crack cocaine sooooo fucking nervous.Am refusing to put my Kit on yet.
In my heart I just wish the Lads all the Fucking best. Give us a performance to make us all proud lads and batterrrrrrrr those tally retreat experts.

It illustrastes what an awful season this has been injury wise, when we are relieved that a player is out only for 6 weeks.

6 weeks is the actual time it shouild take but our excellent medical staff will ensure that it is 3 months and not 6 weeks for him to come back if their performance this season is anything to go by

Another blow for Wes, still our best right back when he’s fit and on form imo.

Well I guess it’s good news, kind of. Glad he should be fit for the world cup at least, he should be playing a major role in the summer.

Come back for the last few games, lift the prem (yet again!), hopefully the (don’t have to be)-championss league then go and win the world cup Wesley Brown!

    please God!
