We’ve Got Wesley Brown… Part II

Under-18 coach, Paul McGuinness, has told us to expect great things from Reece Brown, Wes’ younger brother.

The 17-year-old has a similar style of play and has been at the academy since he was a kid.

“Reece will obviously forever be saddled with the tag of being Wes Brown’s younger brother,” said McGuinness. “When people see Reece, they see a striking resemblance, both in terms of looks and style of play. He has the same sort of attributes. He’s good in the air, quick and he’s a big lad. Reece has settled in nicely. He’s been at the club since a very young age, but the start he has made to his professional career has been really good. He has concentrated right from the start, which is a feature we really wanted him to look at.”

Hopefully he won’t be saddled with Wes’ injury history as well as his looks!

I have a dream; 2 Browns, 2 Evans and 2 Da Silvas playing regularly for United’s First Team. This is really good news.

  2. keanesmagichat says:

lads a bit of kudos for macheda… hat trick last night for the reserves…
third was top drawer…. reckon he will ´be a 1st teamer next season

  3. costas says:

Last night i saw the report. When i read Brown replaced Neville, i said:”Oh shit Wes is back”!I had no idea there was another one.Hopefully he will ne as good as his bro but without his string of unfortunate injuries.

  4. spacemanspiff says:

@ Giles Oakley: All the 6 of them are defenders?!! That’s weird in an amazing sort of way!

  5. mo says:

i have a feeling that scott wooton will make it big

hes a scouser and die hard dippers fan who left after a bust up, hes destined to make it. He’d be the post unpopular man in liverpool even more than rooney if he makes it

think of the die hards who turned red: king eric, alan smith, wayne rooney

Spacemanspiff, we’ll have to play a Back 6 ! Actually the Da Silvas could be wide-midfielders or even wingers.

  11. saad says:

    Write bloody english!

  12. marcos21 says:

costa-translate them what i said since u got no life

  13. costas says:

Yes i will translate saad.Marcos21 is a wanker Greek who lives in Manchester, goes to every game at Old Trafford and thinks that real fans are only those who go to the pitch. The rest is pretty useless. He is just explaining to me how sad he is that he was born like a retard.Marco write whatever you want from now on.I said it yesterday.I come here for discussions. You come here to insult people in this site.Guess who’s life is worst.

  14. costas says:

And onto important topics,Rio is fit guys.

  15. marcos21 says:

costas is 26 year old who doesnt have a life and all the day sits across a pc and posts comments on this site and believes that makes him a huge fan. I am only giving him an advise like a father (he doesnt know that) to get out of the house and socialise with people, not guys like u. Translates what he wants, insults me, generally a poor little man. At his age he shouldnt be doing that but it’s ok, i sympathise him because he doesnt have a life and nowone to speak to

  16. costas says:

Thanx Marco.Perfectly said.Scott i hope you see how useful Marcos is to ROM and how he likes being here.Marco you should come here more often.Your opinions about football are really top notch.

  17. tommy taylor says:

Costas or Marcos what or who is a malaka?

  18. costas says:

Malaka is greek for wanker. In the dictionary Marcos face is next to the word.

  19. marcos21 says:

i am also telling him to support his local team, not a team that is 1000 miles away from him, its not possible. I support my local team but always kept an eye on Man Utd, so since caming to Manchester i have the chance to become a real supporter by going to matches and feel the team from this close. All the other guys that do the same thing as Costas, you are traitors of ur own team and u dont show ur loyalty to the team by posting on this side
    Get a life
PS i dont wish to continue posting on this side. I did that for the first time yesterday and plan to finish this today. So insult me, critisise me, or even support me on what i am saying (only clever people) as long as u want. The more u say, the more anwsers i have for u

  20. Where's_my_bottle says:

Who in the name of fuck gives a rats ass about marcos21 and his ‘fatherly’ advice….shove it up ur ass and the next time you’re here just stick to the football u prick

  21. costas says:

Marco i am also an AEK fan.I see 21 so i guess that means Original? If that’s so,it’s people like you that have made me want to support United over my local team.If you are not Original, erase the last comment.I never knew United only had 75000 supporters:those who go to Old Trafford.Good for you.Guys,no need to answer to him.Since it’s his last day let him leave.I am sad for him now that his pathetic life won’t have a purpose again.

  22. marcos21 says:

tommy taylor- Costas is not malakas. He is just a boy trying to find his way into life and if u ask me he doesnt worth living (there’s no point). U can see that by his anwsers. Telling Scott about me (like he cares) and threatening me that he will translate all my posts because he thinks that i am scared of sissy english guys, especially the kids coming here. For a greek guy who always had the balls to sacrifise his life for his beliefs, u need 20 english guys to put him down

  23. OTRed says:

Both of you(as in you and Marcos) should get a room!

  24. Chaosred says:

Marcos21 what a wanker!! Whats has that got to do with reece brown? stick on the topic!

I wont be convinced about reece unless i see how god he is, how many academy player were talked up and that isn’t currently in our team?

  25. corea says:

i don’t understand what is the problem supporting team not from your country. local team ? is it a must to support your local team if i don’t like the way they play, the way they are managed and the way people of our country handle sport in general.
i saw United match in 1996. that day i wasn’t quite sure what i make of football and i made the decision.
    and fuckoff!

  26. costas says:

A lot Chaosred.Unfortunately we will have a porblem in our defense. With the Da Silvas,Evans and even Simpson coming through the ranks,it will be difficult for other young defenders to make their mark.Reece has time though. He is 17 i believe.

  27. marcos21 says:

costaki- u never went to see AEK thats why u say this. AEK is ‘arostia’ (disease) and whatever happens, i will always have my local team on top and the team that i sacrifised many things in order to go every weekend. I AEK file m costa ine arrostia, kai stes pikres imaste mazi tis panda, i AEK ine simvolo stin kardia gia kapious opadus san kai mas (original). Signomi p den mboreis na katalaveis. 28. Marq says:

Seems like we have a thing for family affairs, haha

  29. costas says:

Marcos has the thing Marq and he is fighting a lost cause here.I have tried to talk about football(Reece and Rio in partucular) but we have to revert to the same trash all the time.MArco thanx for clatifying.I will always laugh at the advise of people who got Dusan out of AEK.It stings now doesn’t it?I have went to the pitch plenty of times and have never caused any incidents with police or rival fans that has hurt our team.Your lot do that all the time out of their “love for AEK”.So don’t evere say again that you are a bigger United or AEK fan that i am.

  30. keanesmagichat says:

marcos i was born in manchester and go to every game, and i couldnt give a fuck where a united fan is from…

this message brought to you by an irish man who loves everything about manchester united

  32. costas says:

Great vid tiny tears. There was no fighting between United fans.At least on my part,i never fought with a United supporter.

  33. Ji-Sung Park's Dog says:

    It’s all greek to me.

  34. King Eric says:

Mo – Yeah agree with you mate, Scott Wooton looks quality. Did you see his effort from the half way line on Saturday?

  35. costas says:

Well from my part,i am sorry for making this personal and spending so many posts for nothing.Anyway.King Eric that’s the first time i hear of Wooton. In which position does he play?

  36. gotta hate tiny tears says:

see how we can all be friends

my mutv has staled yesterday and i am highly sad

    thank you costa

king eric ive seen that boy wooton

    and your right he’s good

but he’s a bit young to be king eric or rooneyin him

the only way that happens to a player at his age if he ticks 2 boxs

    1/ English(tick)
2/ Doesnt play for manchester united( :( )

  37. costas says:

In wikipedia it says he is a defender.Maybe he is still searching. He is born in 91 and he is nearly 18!My,the years have flown by!Until 05 i used to get MUTV here.Ever since i haven’t been able to keep track on the academies.

  38. wazza says:

    marcos21 just fuck off.
costas just send me your email id.

  39. costas says:

I think we had talked about that wazza.I’d rather not give it here in public.

  40. costas says:

    No offence of course.

  41. marcos21 says:

wazza-what is ur problem? nowone talked to u, i was speaking to costas. I expressed my views about local support and advised costas to have other interests. but face it u cant face the truth, u are behaving like 5 year old boys. if i wanted i could get ur home adress but i am not such a baby. anw, goodbye

  42. wazza says:

costas just reply me at beast_b09@yahoo.com

  43. wazza says:

marcos21, most of us here post comments on all the topics & we are true United fans & not like you.costas has spoken earlier that he has finished his university & looking for a job.if costas is not having friends in his home town, then he has made a plenty over here.i m living in India & support United like countless United fans from all over the world.you are the 5 year old who needs to be told that we need not be staying in manchester to support United.as you said above, since you moved to manchester, you support United & i wonder what if you moved to dipperland & then start supporting the dippers.lol

  44. marcos21 says:

wazza-this is ur view. Man Utd have a massive support cz of the fact that they are supported by millions in Asia (i am not saying the support comes only from there, but the majority it does). Stop questioning my loyalty to the club. You’ll be suprised but i am not a biased fan. I see things reasonably. For example i dont believe that Man Utd are the biggest club in the world like u believe. I have huge respect for Milan which won 7 Europeans Cups and produced so many players that dominated Europe for the past 30 years, i respect Boca Juniors for their fans and their history, i respect Real Madrid, i respect Juventus. These are also massive clubs and perhaps bigger than United. It’s true we dominated English football for the past 20 years,we produced the Busby Babes but in Europe we are way off teams like Real,Milan,Ajax(i advice u to learn about the history of this club) and perhaps Liverpool.

  45. gotta hate tiny tears says:

id like to think costa thinks of me as a friend

ive never had a bad word to say about or towards him
and he always has nice things to say about me
    my points
    and my daughter
once again Im born and bred irish

  46. marcos21 says:

also wazza i never considered myself a huge fan of united cz i will always have my home country team first to my heart, hope u do too cz Man Utd comes from Manchester and the only people that can be called true fans are the ones that lived Man Utd all during the centuries and supported the team in it’s ups and downs. I hope u get my point cz it’s true. For example in Athens, when people get out and socialise the key topic is football. Nowone is going to talk about Man Utd and Barcelona, but for AEK,Panathinaikos,Olympiakos their home town teams and talking about the excitiment of going to the stadium next day to watch the team they grown up with and repsesents their nation. If u dont go to the stadium and feel ur team then u are not a real fan, thats a fact. U are from India u told me. Ok u support Man Utd but u cannot be called a real fan, since you never go to the stadium, since u never sacrifised anything from ur life for this particular team. U should support ur home town team first, the one that u are going to the stadium to watch and sing, the one that u will travel across the country only to watch her play, the one that u and ur friends will always have no1 in ur talk list agenda. That’s whats done in Europe

  47. marcos21 says:

gotta hate tiny tears- how can u consider someone a friend you only talked to in the Internet?

  48. Giles Oakley says:

Some of the English can’t write English, so I wouldn’t worry about that. Bit of a shame to have two United fans kicking lumps off each other though, not really what this site should be about. I always enjoy Costas’ contributions, so please don’t try to drive him away, especially with abusive personal comments.

  49. marcos21 says:

Giles Oakley- i am not English and have no . I am Greek, the most superior race in humanity. When u lived in cages, i was building Parthenon and inventing things that make ur life and ur sry country’s life easier now

  50. marcos21 says:

Giles Oakley- i am not English . I am Greek, the most superior race in humanity. When u lived in cages, i was building Parthenon and inventing things that make ur life and ur sry country’s life easier now

  51. keanesmagichat says:

ya but how shit is greece now? your ancestors might have been superior to our ancestors… but we are superior to you… ya fucking fag

  52. costas says:

Oh Jesus,he is still here?Marcos stop this superior race stuff. That kind of thinking has made us the laughing stick of Europe. Our economy is the worst Europe and our football is light years behind the British one.We can never cling to out illustrious past forever.Times change.Greece has gone from the Manchester United of the world to the Derby of the world. And yes,i consider tiny tears,Giles Oakley and wazza friends. It’s not bad to make friends over the internet. In case you haven’t missed,in the 21st century,a lot of friendships are forged over the internet.

  53. wazza says:

marcos, the main sport followed in India by a huge huge margin is cricket.the quality of football in India is shite.most of us in India are awake till 3 in the morning for late night CL, cup or league matches & sacrifice our sleep, classes or job.your not a United fan but an AEK fan.go back to AEK

  54. Anon says:

    off topic
but just noticed that neither of the twins made an appearance in the match. does this mean they could feature against villa?

  55. marcos21 says:

wazza- i was not talking about u specifically. I was speaking in general.

  56. King Eric says:

Costas – Whenever I have seen him (Wooton) he has played in central midfield. Bit of a playmaker really and an excellent shot.

  57. costas says:

And when i say friends,i don’t mean friends that i am going to tell my family crisis about.I mean my Manchester friends with whom i can share my sceptisism about UNited. At the moment i do have a job which allows me to browse pretty often. So i post a lot here.So what?

@Anon: I doubt it.Fabio will probably be in the 18 man squad.Rafa hasn’t made it unfortunately.Neither has Brown.Hopefully they will make it by Sunderland.

  58. marcos21 says:

and yes i am 100% per cent AEK because AEK is something that carries on in my family from 1924. My family was from Constantinopole and they were Greek refuges during the Greco-Turkish war. AEK means many things for it’s fans and represents Constantinopole. I cant except from u to understand. I am not one of u and many other people that supported United from 2000 when they won the treble and for many other reasons.

  59. marcos21 says:

keanesmagichat- u will never be superior. U will always be judjed by ur ancestors. And talking about how shit Greece is now, just look at ur country that has collapsed from the recession, huge poverty, unemployment, inflation, check the facts boy. Its not our fault that silly people have made silly decisions about our country for the past 100 years and collapsed our great nation.

  60. Anon says:

    @ costas, thanks for that.
i was really hoping rafael would be fit by now.
i still hope fabio plays though. two losses on the bounce i think the team is crying out for a bit of freshness on the pitch, and fabio would be just the tonic. Nani and Welbeck would be grand too!

  61. costas says:

But it has collapsed Marcos. And right now it’s in worse shape than England and possibly every other European country.

  62. marcos21 says:

costas-if u are so obsessed with English people go change ur nationality. U dont represent greek youth and greece as a whole

  63. costas says:

Nani might be a breath of fresh air.And given Berbatov’s absence(meaning Ronnie playes behind Tev),it opens the door for Nani.I also want to see Fabio but Fergie won’t take risks at the moment.

  64. costas says:

No i don’t represent Karatzaferis’ Greece like yourself.

  65. Anon says:

someone please kick this marcos chappy outta here. can’t be blocked or something.
or do the next best thing, ignore! he’s bound to tire and fuck off eventually, just don’t reply to him, it’s a darn waste of time guys!

  66. costas says:

    I agree with Anon guys.Ignore.

  67. Anon says:

    @ costas
oh. but it will make sense if he plays fabio at left wing and nani on the right with ronnie and tev as strikers? Fergie has hinted in the past few weeks that he is not averse to the idea of Fabio as a winger…

  68. marcos21 says:

Anon- i agree with u. Just ignore me

  69. costas says:

Yes i know Anon. And it might be a welcomed change. But let’s not forget that when the team was winning.SAF was experimenting too much.I think in the Fulham game the team played with many new aspects(Scholes and Giggs in the center,Ronnie behind Berba) and it cost us.

  70. wazza says:

CR7 is most effective on the wings.Giggs might start alongside Tevez against villa.Park & Ron on the wings.hope Fabio makes it to the bench on Sun.

  71. Anon says:

hmm, you are right. anyways, berba, scholsey and rooney missing this game might be a belssing in disguise for us, maybe not in the case of rooney, but certainly berba and scholsey are better off with a rest. it’l be very interesting to see who Fergie chooses as replacements.

  72. Anon says:

@wazza, that would be the first choice attacking line in Fergie’s mind i suppose.
but i really can’t help but feel worried. young’s pace might very well show up our defenses, more so considering who our right backs are going to be, jos and GN, neither capable of really keeping with the villain on full flight if they get beaten. Evans and Rio better bring their ‘A’ game to the pitch on Sat

  73. wazza says:

Anon: Gary or Sheasy will both have problem dealing with a.young’s pace.hope they keep him quiet

  74. costas says:

That’s why Park must play at right wing guys.Boy we could use Wes’ fire and determination at these times.

  75. rocks says:

Reece brown looks like a star already, hope he’ll be as solid on the pitch as he looks, he’s got a better pace than his brother by the way..

  76. RedHarry4Life says:

Watched the reserves last night good game. Macheda – watched him play for last two years – though he was good – but not half the player Rossi was – so did not really think he would make it!, Rossi didn’t with us

Now last night he looked shit hot. Took his goals really well(one was a pen) and I mean really well. Newcastle had that centreback that used to play for Lyon and he brushed him aside taking the 1st goal so well. And Matty James looked good in midfield two wonderful long balls for Macheda’s goals.

Petrucci is better IMO from what i have seen of them, but after last night Macheda has gone up in my book.

  77. Aussie Red Devil says:

    Marcos21,

    Get a life you wanker.

  78. wazza says:

    IMO ?

  79. Anon says:

    @ wazza
    IMO- in my opinion
if thats wat ur doubt was.
can’t wait to see these guys play for the first team! Petrucci, Macheda and Ljajic sound like world beaters of the near future!
