I agree with Scott re City/scouse potential 4th place. If the scouse finish 4th they will delude themselves that FSW is the greatest manager of all time and that next season will be their year for winning the treble!! If city get 4th they could potentially recruit a better class of player, rather than the overated merceneries they got this year. Also as Scott says, the city fans would be unbearable in the pubs and I couldnt cope with that. Hopefully they’ll both get relegated although i guess life don’t get that good.

If Spurs and Villa can beat the teams around them going for 4th, dippers, city each other and everton then I can see one of them doing it. We showed last year taht you don’t need to get 6 points from the top 4 to win the league, if they can beat everyone else I can honestly see one of them making it. I think Spurs are a very good bet for 4th once they get Lennon and more importnatly Modric back I think the dippers will struggle for 4th place especially as they’re heading for the Europa League. Don’t want city to make they’ve been bleating about Tevez and if they get 4th its the new owners objective struck off the list which I personally don’t want.

Liverpool finishing out of a Champions league spot has the greater overall laugh, as they need the budget from it. Plus, whilst they are in it, theres a chance they could win it again.
It would actually rile them more that two Manchester clubs would be in the comp.
But I’d laugh even more if someone such as Villa got in there or Spurs.
The problem so far, has been that nobody has taken advantage of Liverpools slips, even Stoke could have gone above them if they beat Hull.

September – May to September is a fucking long time when you’ve got those lot whittering in your ear. If they finished 4th and got knocked out in the group stages they would be insisting that after some more stupid money they would be up there and ready to win the thing.

Plus if City play CL football they really will start buying great players – look what happened to Chelsea.

Liverpool finishing 4th is same ol’, same ol’… but City finishing top 4 would be unbearable.

A lot of people want to bad mouth Ronaldo, he’s not our player I’ll just remember him for the success he HELPED bring us. It most certainly was not a one man show. As for Tevez I was one of very few who never wanted him at the club in the first place, especially when it was arranged that we reportedly paid £10 million to have him on loan for 2 years and all that registration bollocks with West Ham. There was always something fishy about him and Joorabchin he did well in his first year but missed shitloads of chances which is exactly what those bitter blue hoo hoo fans are witnessing now. None of other teams fans noticed this though but the proper United fans and more importantly Fergie did. He was a good super sub but thats about it, we were better off sticking with Alan Smith or Rossi IMHO.

what’s the point, mate? both tevez and ronaldo are gone, and ronaldo’s absence has a greater effect.

tevez talked rubbish about fergie and management after he left, and ronaldo went with a politician’s campaign of praising his united time and saying he will miss his teammates, wants fergie to be his life coach, etc.

which method would you prefer an ex-united player to leave?

at this point do you really think any true united supporter trusts the full sincerity or credibility of ronaldo’s public statements after all the will i stay or go madness of the past few years? and how many times have we seen a journo article be a complete fabrication in the first place?

i hated seeing schmeical, andy cole, and footage of denis law in city kits, but it usually happened at the end of the careers when they weren’t good enough for united. it happens. if ronaldo were to leave madrid, i’m sure it would be when his star lustre started to tarnish, and he was much less of a player than he is now.

the only way city could get him is too throw foolish money at him and wait for madrid to sell after his form deteriorates. at that point united most likely won’t want him back, and like schmeical, cole, and law, it’s their prerogative to earn a living as footballer’s even at stinking city.

to compare ronaldo’s behavior with tevez’ shite talking, well fair play if you see it as the same, but in the end they are both gone, who really cares?

What part of ronaldo’s comments can you liken to tevez?? He speaks good sense when taklking about the history of the club. He’d never join city but has the sense to never rule anything out. Tevez said he wouldn’t join a domestic rival out of the “special relationship he has with the united fans, then joins the bitters???
And what happened to all the tick tocks from the citeh fans when they took great delight in polluting our boards all beacuse they had bought a fat argie with the first touch my 3 year old could better, and because they had paid alot of money to have a shite billboard put up. All that money and few months into the season all their hopes are dashed. I f’in love it
