If Manchester was blue, surely they’d be able to sell out a game of such magnitude? It’s not as if semi-finals have been frequent occurrences for City over the past few decades.
Of all the Mancunian postcodes that are featured on the map (data for M4, M10, M11, M14, M15, M22, M23, M40, M90 and M99 isn’t shown), United support has the clear majority.

Over in Salford, central and south Manchester and parts of Trafford, the results were reversed. In Eccles, Worsley and central Salford, more than 70 per cent said they were Reds. The area around Old Trafford is also apparently a Red stronghold, with 71 per cent of those in the M16 postcodes supporting Manchester United.

Many believe that Chicharito has been quite poor this season compared to last, I would argue considering his concussion, his history and the precautions taken plus the ankle ligament damage done to him by that Cunt Cashley, he’s done all that was expected of him whilst being 3rd choice for most parts of the season.
Welbeck has more to his game but has around the same amount of goals and I believe both have done exceptionally well this season even if they had rough patches, they are only 20 + 23 years old and with more games between the both they will go on to be greats. The way I look at it, if City need the win at St James, they will get it. It’s not just the Wigan game. Newcastle are in a state of uncertainity regarding their Ch.League status. They are unlikely to finish 3rd (unless they get a result at Chelsea on Wednesday) and they are not sure whether 4th will be good enough. City will know what they want out of that game more than Newcastle will. Plus, playing at the Bridge on Wednesday doesn’t do them any favors either. Of course I hope to be proved wrong, but I can’t see it happening.
As for QPR, teams fighting for their survival can often cause a shock or two, but with their away record, it’s hard to tell. For all we know, they could be already relegated or safe by the City game.

Some might say he’ll be a shirt seller, but that would be doing the lad a disservice. Dortmund have just retained the league in Germany. He’s been in their midfield for 2, 3 seasons now. A creative type, who floats between the midfield and attack. Only issue for me, is where he would play at United. I’m sure Fergie would be able to sort that out!

Kagawa is a quality player, easily United quality and would fit in any team, he’s a spark with great vision and dribbling and very impressive and Dortmund will feel it hard when the fella leaves, he may sell shirts for the team he joins but he’ll add major quality too.
Park was the same at that age 7 years ago but less talented but the effort was there which attracted interest from all over Europe.
I honestly would mind a a Kagawa plus Cabaye/Strootman and a left back Cyssokho. Why break the bank for a superstar when 3 quality lads can be brought in ! Hazard,Modric, Martinez, llorente etc are just tbh dreams, we’ll never be able to compete for big names as long as those massive interest rates remain, not taking a dig at Glazers because every Cub is facing the pinch (Arsenal-stadium, Everton, Chelsea-Marin etc ).

I’m really not putting my rose-tinted specs, but the only thing that beats us is oursleves-our darn complacency-which showed up last week. With the right attitude and confidence, we’ll triumph today. And i believe our lads have that attitude and confidence today. The series of events building up to this derby, us dropping points and conceding so many at home, on the contrary, probably is going to play a positive role for us today. I don’t know, we show up when our backs are faced to the wall, although that’s not exactly the case today-we’re still ahead, we have a lead, but we know that a blunder today-and it’s all over. Not exactly a nice scenario to be functioning in such a tight environment, but i guess that’s what defines us, Manchester United. Come on you Reds, the feeling is just great, an epic game, I’m so excited I’d probably pass out a few minutes before the game already. Let’s get behind the lads and believe.
