Why did you play 1 striker against Fulham in the PL? Why change tactics from our previous 2 meetings with them? Which we won convincingly. Also why not give Macheda a go after he rescued us against villa. It must be so dis heartening for players when they do something good for the team and what do they get in return? A freezing cold bench. For me Fabio needs a run in the team it is obvious that Evra is suffering from fatigue. And please start playing Anderson we are missing the killer pass that he offers!

Isn’t it obvious that we are missing brown in our defence. He delivered some great passes last season and Rafael was doing that until he got injured and by the way how many goals has Berbatov scored with his head (so called good in the air). Our midfield is S**t because there is no defensive midfielders like Hargreaves.
Possebon,Carrick and Fletcher should have been enough.They held their own at the San Siro pretty well didn’t they?In situations like these we always look to the absentees for explanation.I miss Owen and Brown.We all do.And maybe the team does as well.But if they has been on the schedule that these players are,they would have been feeling it as well.Berbatov has been a disappointment.I think he hasn’t scored with his head.It should have been Huntelaar.
What happened with our style of play after the 2006-2007 season ?
It was too adventurous corea.I think that last season we saw CQ really put his influence in our style of play.We weren’t very exciting,but we got plenty of goals and the most important thing:we always had cool heads.No petulance,no unnecessary red cards and not so many errors in judgment.Also,i think that 06-07 was the last glorious season for players like Scholes and Giggs.It’s not easy to play attractive football like we did that season,without these two at their best.
“will you ever sign Tevez?” that’s the only question that needs to be asked

davetian,have we always disagreed,lol?Never realised that!I usually like your posts.Anyway.You know why SAF was reluctant with Huntelaar?Because of Alfonso Alves who was also a goal machine in Holland.In my mind we never needed a striker to play with Rooney.We had and still have that striker.They linked up nicely yesterday.

Yes Scholes and Giggs have been amazing in their years here, and are a great influence on the younger ones; but watching Scholes on Tuesday night I don’t recall him passing to a United player apart from a 45 yard ball back to Van Der Sar on numerous ocassions. Giggs is just past his day. One ball goes astray and he’s blaming anyone but himself.
The rest speak for themselves. Just not good enough to be United players.
luke – Can’t understand why you are questioning Fletch. He was immense against Villa and Porto and has probably been our best and most consistent player this season other than Vidic (pre dippers).

Who do you want to manage united after you retire?
No, he really wasn’t. When we get into our style of play (1-touch passing etc) he isn’t capable of that. Not the sort of player you need/want when you have to chase the game/take the game to the opposition. No awareness which was shown against Porto.
If anyone’s been consistant its Vidic. He did look a little shaky against Porto but in fairness the whole team was off apart from Rooney.
Watching Essien on Gerrard last night – completely took him out the game and Liverpool had no-one else good enough to create anything. Which is what Carrick should have done against Liverpool.
Luke – Agree on one thing mate. Essien was excellent last night. Captain fantastic did not get a look in.

Well i did, but i think gary is much better in the middle than oshea who cant run,pass,or even control the ball.i admit gary is not that good in the centre,but i really dont see how a player like oshea desreves to put on a united shirt and play in the heart of defense!!
