United have a whole host injuries going into their fourth round FA Cup game at Anfield against arch rivals Liverpool, and bookmakers are keen to take them as a result.

They are 2.88 shots with bet365 and without the injury worries that would look a massive price given that they knocked out Man City in the last round and come into this on the back of a win over Arsenall at the Emirates.

But United currently have 11 men on the treatment table, and Wayne Rooney is now a doubt to make the staring XI having not trained all week.

It will certainly be interesting to see who starts, but one things is for sure is that they will face a hostile reception in the wake of the fall-out from Luis Suarez’s eight-match ban for racially abusing Patrice Evra.

Both clubs have tried to ease tensions in the build-up to kick-off (12.45pm, Live on ITV1) with Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and United boss Sir Alex pleading for calm in the hope that it is the football that takes centre stage.

It’s going to be a cauldron of hate on Merseyside, but the United squad are strong enough mentally not to be fazed by it and are more than capable of serving it up to Dalglish’s men and grinding out a victory.

The stats are certainly good as far as United are concerned. They have beaten their opponents on eight of the last nine occasions they have been drawn against each other in the competition, and have also only lost one of their last 16 FA Cup ties away from home.

Chicharito has scored in both of his visits to Anfield, and looks decent value at 8 with Paddy Power to net the opener.

However Danny Welbeck looked really sharp and dangerous against City and at a standout 8.5 with bet365 looks a huge price and has got to be the punt.

In what promises to be a hard fought and fiery encounter – there have been 6 red cards shown in the last 9 meetings  and four in the last six clashes at Anfield – I am hoping that United will prove too strong for what could be a slightly jaded Liverpool side given their midweek exploits.

The last seven times they have met in the FA Cup, the winning side has won by a single-goal margin so I am going to put up United to win 2-1 as the suggestion for those that like to play the correct score market.

That outcome is a massive looking 13 with Paddy Power, and looks great value given that the majority of other firms offer just 10.
