Where To Put Your Money vs West Brom

United are 1.25 shots to beat West Brom at Old Trafford this weekend and it really should be a case of how many they put past the Baggies.

They have won nine and lost none of the 11 Premier League meetings with Roy Hodgson’s side, who to be fair come into this on the back of a good run of results and have lost just one of their last seven games on the road.

However United have won 38 and lost just three of their last 43 PL games at home, and have a trio players who have a terrific record of netting against West Brom.

The evergreen Paul Scholes has scored four in six appearances against them, Rooney has bagged three in his last four, and Chicharito has scored in both starts.

They are 12 (bet365)  4(bet365), 4.5 (Betfred, Boylesports) respectively to net the opener, but for me a better bet has to be Rooney to score anytime.

Wazza is on fire at the moment and has scored seven goals in his last four appearances, so at 1.66 with bet365 looks a more attractive wager than backing United in the outright market.

Also given that United didn’t play at their best but still managed to score three in their victory over Spurs I think we can expect plenty of goals in this.

Over 2.5 looks a gimme at 1.53 with Boylesports, with most firms going just 1.51.

In the correct score market I am going to suggest a small wager on 3-1 and 4-1.

The former did us proud last week at a whopping 21 with Betfred, and again looks tasty at 11 with bet365 and Betfred.

The latter is a 17 chance with bet365, and split stakes on both could hopefully return a bumper payout for a small outlay.

I just hope we see the real Manchester United…….. playing with fire and fervour just like we all know they can …. not the shadow of the team that played during the week….it is so frustrating to see them drop off like we sometimes do

@tonybee watson : yeah we always play with fervor in the league. its just that the players aren’t too arsed about the europa league.!!!

also regarding all those posts saying its a disgrace to lose to bilbao think this way :
they’re 5th in the spanish league. what did you expect? them to come here and be pushovers?
    they’re a very good side.
now say united lose to the 5th placed side in the EPL it won’t be such a calamity now would it?
and btw the current 5th placed team in the EPL is chelsea!
perspective matters people . fergie knows what he’s doing, so let him!!

No shame in losing to Athleic, but it was a poor performance. Anyone whose watched international football over the last four years knows Spanish football is the best in the world at the moment and Athletic have 4 players currently in the Spanish squad and a manager who taught Guardiola a thing or two.
Funny thing is, if the Chelsea players had a better attitutde (and were younger and more gifted, to be fair to them) they’d be playing good football under Villas-Boas by now. A few of those Athletic players put Lampard et al to shame.

Top interview with Nani on football focus, saying he doesnt get the credit he deserves. Completely agree case in point losing player of the season to Gareth bale when nani had more goals and more assists.
