it must be quite surreal as a football star to play as yourself! I sometimes forget these guys are just regular blokes, about my age for the most part! When I was a kid I used to make custom characters and give them my name and transfer into United, I used to get massive kicks out of that, imagine what it is like for them!
I love Wayne Rooney, i think he’s a player like no other. Guile, panache, pace and power…brilliant and was fucking beaming when he signed, proper player.
I do wish though that we/forums/media didnt hang off his words as its hard to not look at him as a boy who doesnt really know what he’s saying?

I am disappointed. I dont understand why he would choose barcelona. I just hate them in the game. They were so overrated in fifa 09 and am pretty sure its the going to be the same in fifa 10. It seemed like everyone was as fast as ronaldo. Anyways United are rated only 4.5 stars, its half a star less than before, just cause the drama queens left. Rome has made me hate them even more. They are a good team but are over-rated.

PES > FIFA
I’ve always preffered Pro Evo because of it’s gameplay and graphics but this years Fifa is proper quality. Plus Fifa has better seasons, kits and Old Trafford with quadrants.
The Pro Evo demo is special though. Finally this year I’ll enjoy both games. How hard can it be to get the fucking liscenses.

PES is my favourite as i play the pc versions but Fifa 10 has been shite with its pc version. PES 10 gameplay is so true and AI’s difficulty level has been really improved but still disappointed with the gk of PES. they sometimes let the ball fly past them, lol

Not too sure about PES>FIFA, not until they release the demo. I had never touched FIFA ever since FIFA 04. Out of curiousity I played the demo a few days ago, it was surprisingly very very good. Now let’s hope PES could come up with something that would match FIFA this year.

Yeah apologies for confusion, it was my sarcy git way of saying that last gen PES was way better than FIFA, but it doesn’t seem to have handled the leap to the next generation too well whereas FIFA as improved each year and I think the last two versions have blown Pro Evo out of the water.

FIFA is way better than PES, and for more than two years now. Since FIFA 08, PES don’t stand a chance.
I used to be a diehard PES fan, but then they got lazy and FIFA came on leaps and bounds and I changed my colours. United aren’t the greatest in fifa, well you need to do some tinkering to make them better.
Barca / spain are the best two teams in the game, in that be a pro mode, i scored at OT against Chelski.
I play in the midfield so im pleased!

I used to play PES a lot but Fifa09 and Fifa10 just completely blew PES away in terms of quality, gameplay, computer AI, graphics and online play.
Perhaps some of us have been playing against Rooney himself online. It’s kind of funny to think about it.
Rooney does exactly what I do on FIFA. United first – if the other player won’t budge then it’s Barca. I’ve done that since on-line play started.
As for the FIFA / PES debate, it’s FIFA > PES all day long. Not played the current PES but the ones before always had an arcadey-cartoonish type feel. FIFA last year was a big improvement on previous years and this year has stepped it up another level. Top game.
I have to chip in and say PES is no longer better than FIFA. FIFA is now streets ahead. PES was better since about 1996 when it first became know as ISS and I loved it all the way up until about 07 when I thought they were neck and neck. Then FIFA started getting more like PES. Then FIFA 09 blew PES out of the water and FIFA 10 is even better. I have played both demo’s on the PS3 and in some parts PES looks amazing, especially the cut scene player detail. Torres looks just like the horse he is. However, that’s all. FIFA overall looks-wise, navigation-wise and play-wise shits all over PES10. That’s just the way it is.
