Have to disagree with Jaime as well. I’m Norwegian and the majority here agree that Rooney is the better player.

Myself I don’t care who’s better. I love that they both play for my club!

Gill already said his deal would be sorted out during the summer, so its just Daily Sh!te printing nonsense as usual. I really doubt we’ll lose him, however i do disagree with the fact that he is priceless. Tevez has not been starting because judging by what we’ve seen so far, Rooney-Berbatov is a lot more productive than Tevez-Berbatov.

really? People in South America think that Tevez is better? Surely not I suppose the Barca fans last year saying that Rooney was our most dangerous player were just doing it for the laugh? Don’t get me wrong, I would still prefer Tevez to be in our starting lineup but at the expense of Berbatov and not the second most productive player on our team (FACT!!!)

We will sign Tevez i have no doubt, its all about balancing books.. and financial years etc.

Plus dont forget, they are unsure of the AIG situation.

Its a fact.. not a good one, but we have to make the payments on the debt, but i am 100% sure that he will be a permanent fixture at united for many many years..

1. The united fans love his work ethic.
2. Hes a bloody good player (ok needs to work on his 50p heading technique but apart from that very explosive and very impactive)
3. He is proven so it isnt a real gamble.
4. United will not allow him to leave to go to a Rival.
5. Fergie has said that he wants 4 top strikers, and if you include CR7, then you have the 4 that he is on about.

He will sign definately, plus dont forget, like someone put earlier, they are probably trying to negotiate a few million off, coz they have paid a loan fee of £5 million estimated for the 2 season loan, so they prob trying to get that amount off the transfer fee.

Tevez is better player cuz he is tech better, gets his temper in check better plus he has only played in the prem for 2 seasons only imagine when he`s on his fifth season like ronaldo.

You’re right stephen..we do and have always paid over the odds. Berba, carrick, rio, maybe even rooney. But thats always going to happen seeing how big we are…and supposedly are the richest club and have ‘billlions’ to spend. Thats how clubs see it, hence try to scrimp every penny out of us.

I feel there isnt much we can do about it. Its just part and parcel of being manchester united. If we were a shitter smaller club we wouldnt be in the market for top players and hence wouldnt need to pay much for avergae joes. But seeing we are the best and biggest. I think thats just the way it is.

We cant have our cake and eat it too. If we want a top player..the other party will up the price by 5 mill for us atleast. thats what the rboys have found in recent years. clubs know they have monies so put an extra 5 mill icing on it. We found that with berba and carrick and rio.

And i agree tevo like berba isnt worth anything above 25. 22/ 23 mill for tevez is good. But what happens if we try to bargain start negotiating and procastinating. Kia jarrobchian….lets face it ala many clubs and people who represent players these days…will want every penny..will tout him and milk him to other clubs.

Look at robinho…1 min chelsea..next minute oh extra 3 mill…off to city.

I dont want that to happen to tevo..i love this guy….i wear his name and have 32 on my back. If we negotiate and pay a little bit extra then ok…..but we cant be fool hardy and say we will pay only 20 mill for example. Or else we will lose him

Agree haggle a bit…lower the asking price a bit….BUT not too much that we lose him.

One last thing though stephen…one apt point. You always remember fans always saying oh we paid too much for him and him. We got plenty of the with rio and carrick. But after a few years brilliant service commitment trophies class performances. Those same fans wont grumble anymore and will say blimey we cant remember the fee..” rios the best centre back in the world’ ‘ carrick is awesome’.

Berbas price will be forgotten too when he bangs in 20 + goals. And same for tevo if we sign him for a big fee.

5 years service..goals commitment etc etc etc etc…and i think transfer will be worth it. And nowadays also you have to pay the market prices..and they are high. I mean if robbie keane is worth 20 mill? darren bent 17 mill? david bentley mill? jo 19 mill? Etc etc. Carlitos not better and worth more than them by a few mill atleast?
