Anthony Martial was repeatedly linked with a move away from Manchester United last season, having struggled to impress manager Jose Mourinho.
Earlier in the season, Mourinho claimed that the player had a future at the club, but only if he adapted his game. “Do I think Anthony is player with great potential? Yes Do I think he can play successfully for me? Yes,” he said. “But he needs to give me things that I like.”
Martial’s agent, Philippe Lamboley, has claimed that Martial does have a future at the club, with Ed Woodward telling him exactly that.
Martial has two years left and there is no reason for him to leave Manchester today. If Ed Woodward tells me they want him to leave, things are different. But that is not what he told me during our last meeting.
