£120K a week ? Alex Ferguson must have swerved in his car and almost hit the lamp post just like Cashley Cole did when he was offered a paltry £55K a week. We at Arsenal all thought Cashley was a loyal Gunner and would one day be our captain. Given what we know now and recent headlines, loyalty is not the word you would associate with him.

Just pray that Evra is not getting career advice from that twat.

It’s a seller’s market; the amount of TV-revenue and other sources on income have given the top-flight clubs enormous profits so it’s only “reasonable” for players to want a share of an expanding pie. There are very few left-sided players in the world who have Evra’s pace and skill so he’s an in-demand commodity – and his agent wouldn’t be doing his job if he didn’t make demands to have his guy paid a “market value”. Blah, blah, blah !

The cost of having a successful team is that ALL the players believe that they should be rewarded for being a part of that success. Like the delightful Pascal Chimbonda said recently, “show me the money”

No. I have mentioned in an old blog about how Evra was soaking up the history of the Club and how he ”feels Mancunian!”

The papers talk utter shit.

A Civil war in Kenya, A plot to behead aBritish soldior in this country, Innocent people being murdered all over the place and all this week has seen Ashley Cole and his missus plastered all over the front pages. Now that is what we’re dealing with.

Agents/Mirror?!!? He desevres every penny of whatever he’ll end up with but it is totally out of his character to demand parity with the headliners in the team. He’ll probably settle for about 65-70k a week. EVRA IS NOT LEAVING UNITED!!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say, if it’s true, his popularity with me will sink like a brick. But I have a feeling, should it turn out the Mirror is right for once, that agents is the operative word. We’ve heard it all before, how agents drive wedges between players and clubs who really didn’t want to part, but ended up thinking the other one did. Patrice is too nice a person for me to believe this. But, because of this, I will have to wait till he signs a new contract before I can make up my mind. It’s like with Jonny Evans. Don’t think he did anything wrong, but I wont breathe easy before the court says the same… The press just loves placing doubts in supporters hearts!
