http://sportandhealthnews.com/2010/04/small-talk-dani-alves-sid-lowe/
Full interview here. He only has good things to say about us. Also says that Wayne is better than Ronnie
from that interview, i really like him
obviously not as good as evra in interviews, but hes certainly up there
Ha ha, he was really gushing about United and Rooney in that interview. I sitll dont like him though…
But, this may be a chant for the city game, eh?

Terry with his normal day to day activities:
http://i41.tinypic.com/33b0ho2.gif
hahahaha
Who even think of city!! lol
alves.. he is a good guy
What a horrible tackle by Terry. u can actually see milner’s leg bending.. and the ref is barely 10 yards away!!! what was he thinking when he pulled out just a yellow
Good player but a cheating twat, as hurr said he has one of those faces you just want to punch!
Love it how everyone from the continent always talks about just Manchester because they take it for granted that everyone knows they are referring to United. He’s still a dirty cheat though.
right scott. . .youve gotta make a new post 2 invite back all the guys that have left. . .king eric, ghht, etc. YOUVE GOTTA DO SOMETHING!
Isn’t this amazing. The refs are destroying football in England. This season they seem to go out of their way to help Chelsea. In two matches against United they gifted them at least 4 points and yesterday Howard the cunt Web, made sure that they go to the FA cup final.
And yet the FA act only to punish United!! Some of the referees should not be let anywhere near a stadium let alone referee a match.
Come on lads don’t let us down. Lets win the remaining 5 matches handsomely as I am sure Chelsea will slip at least once till the end of the season.
hurr says:
Terry with his normal day to day activities:
outrageous. let’s win this fucking 5 games. let’s do it for the FA and referees.
speechless. i fucking see Webb’s feet looking at the tackle.
Hey guys, has anyone heard anything about Hargreaves being involved today? Would be great to see.
Terry’s a dirty, cheating, ugly, dicksucking cunt. Ignore him.
john terry:we had a great performance at OT last week. . ..
great performance my fuckin arse!!! the fact that united didnt show up in the 1st half and their winner was from a offside goal just shows how great their performance was. fukin classless cunt
VDS
Rafa Rio Vida Sheasy
Scholesy
Gibson
Tony Berba Nani
Macheda
Let’s do it lads. It own’t be easy but 1-0 would do. Just show our team spirit and do it for the FA.
didnt i read on this that pele said that robinhos agent told him that manchester wanted to sign you , on deadline day when the chelsea deal wasnt happening and he said yes thinking he was going to united
Five games remaining…but im quite certain…the refs will try giving decisions against us…FA dont want us to win again. They are tired of our domination….I hope we put such show in the rem games dat we dont give dem a chance.
right c’mon utd
off to ewood i go…..best away DAY of year for me……8000 utd fans take up the lower and upper tier of the darwen end……and no matter how many letters rovers send…WE WILL STILL STAND….
ROVERS BIGGEST DAY OF THE YEAR…. so unlike sunderland they aint gonna whinge
also for me….big day…..family all live in blackburn…all season ticket holders….so extra rivalry….lol

yellow only. fuck off
vds
neville
ferdinand
vidic
oshea
giggs
nani
scholes
valencia
berba
kiko
why no evra??
Giggs ahead of Gibson and Neville. The rest i was right
Sadly no Rafael.
Good squad though, im slightly worried about the combination of Scholes and Giggs both playing in midfield. Attacking wise, we are sorted, but Im not sure our defense would be able to keep a clean sheet. I guess we just have to outscore them.
COME ON UNITED!
Evra needs rest. Patrice Ever Playing.
Blackburn: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Jones, Givet, Nzonzi, Grella, Emerton, Pedersen, Olsson, Kalinic.
Big Sam need to be worried. Not a full squad ? No Roberts, Diouf and Dunn. Is FA going to have a look ?
sinred
Agreed. Evra needs and deserves his rest.
I’m expecting a good performance from Nani today. I have a new found respect for him after his epic performance against Bayern. Two goals and never stopped running and pushing.
Exactly Nani showed some mindblowing magnificence against Bayern, shown when he tried to take a corner and nearly fainted. Old Trafford, we have found ourselves a new true United player.
Nani’s gonna be incredible if he finds consistency.
Still scepticle about all three of the old guard, would prefer at least rafael playing. I would have considered playing park over giggs.
Lol carrick not even on the bench. Fuck off back to newcastle you fucking geaordie! U would never die for this united shirt! Cmon united!
@ Colbert
I wish it was done a bit earlier though. He looked knackered in some of the games. Evra will be fresh for the derby.
Maci
That’s pretty disrespectful to someone who has contributed some much for us over the last few years. He’s playing badly at the moment but no need for that.
no backup striker on the bench. i have doubt too on scholesy & giggsy playying together in midfield.
anyhow, juz do it lads. Come on United!
carrick has really fuck up big time last few games, potentially on the way out in the summer. u know Fergie’s going chop a few heads this closr season.
COME ON UNITED!!!
I can see money plus Carrick swap for Milner
any stream pls
blackburn really play horrible long ball football
whys our striker berbatov playin soo deep at times hes carrying the ball out from midfield
plenty of streams here
myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=71119&part=sports
Nani still has a bit to learn …..pass the ball instead of playing tippy tap
who is on the bench for Utd today?
Subs: Kuszczak, Evra, Park, Jonathan Evans, Fletcher, Obertan, Gibson.
no recognised striker on the bench
LOL @ sad BR fans
3-0 and you fucked it up
why are they looking in our fixtures
You’ve only come to see united!
cheers dv-ant mate
no diouf? :/
Berba has been ok so far and I think he has been good this season. I am sure many feel like I do when that chance came was that you would want him to put his head down and go at goal with pace and purpose, shrug off the challenge, and stick it in the net. It is too bad he hasn’t done that for us, I wish he would because he has it in him to be fantastic as he has shown in glimmers this year..
aah what the fuck was that nani?
As I say that he shows great purpose and vision and just unlucky it was saved.
wtf was that from nani
looks like we got the bad nani out their today
WHAT THE FUCK ANTONIO???
valencia what a joke…no conviction..always too scared too shoot
great ball from berba – valencia really shud have scored
wow dimitar is doing brilliant out there
more from that please!
Well… United have been in so much control in this game, can’t believe there has not been a goal yet… Tony V really should have scored that.. Blackburn usually play better second half.. But if we don’t win this one something serious will have to go wrong…
Scholes and Giggs are playing far too deep, they need to get closer to the blackburn penalty box
What is this misgotten sense of entitlement that Berbatov has. You might have fairy dust and Ginger beer coming out of your toes but if you want to pout and sulk like a petulant fucking infant not laying off balls for your strike partner and throwing your hands around like you’re Cristiano Messi when you have the pace of a tea lady then get off the fucking pitch and give your place to someone who is more head down and team oriented.
Fuck you Berbatov. You are not Elvis
He really is doing well dimitar..
@Kevin Berbatov been doing well but all he do well is outside the box. I not sure its about the formation or not, he been so far away from the goal and when Valencia or Nani wants to cross in no one is there. I still think a forward of his height, he should stay there more. He shows less presence on the field than Rooney. I dont really like a forward being a attacking midfield and Valencia had to stay top towards the end of the field and Berbatov is on the right hand side. He holds on to the ball so long and people close down and he cant find a through ball to split open. Sorry for saying so much but that is how i feel in the first half. He even shout and doing gesture all over the players. He reminds me of Ronaldo last season. And i dont like that.
FUCK ME, VALENCIA NEEDS TO STEP UP..
Why is it our younger strikers are so fucking gung ho in front of goal they cannot see an unmarked man waiting for a simple tap in ….jesus….. Macheda was wide open when Valencia was through and kicked it straight at the fucking keeper…… Hairdryer at half time Fergie me old lad
Blackburn do look there for the taking, Kiko looks sharp but Berba is slowing things down etc etc sorry if i upset some people with that but Berba does slow us down a lot
fuck off manchuchu hes doing awesome what the fuck you on about
sprite…toni is a crosser to me he stepped up months ago
@Kel
Berbatov has to play deep because there is nobody in that attacking midfielder position. Notice when the play is in Blackburn’s penalty box, we have nobody just outside their box to pick up the play?
We have been ok so far. Had great possession and good opportunities. We just have to start taking them. Nani has shown some enthusiasm and is trying to get thing going. He is working hard, tracking back, and leading the attack at times. He has yet to find the end product but lately he has shown why we should stick with him. Valencia has gotten into good positions but is lacking firmness in his decision-making. You could see it with the missed chance and his crossing which has been off the mark today. We are close and not too far away from finding the goal. We always seem to click better in the second. Fergie will let the lads know exactly what needs to change and they will perform. Believe! United shall not be moved!
On another note, Valencia and Nani is performing bad because there is no recognise striker in the box. How on earth are they gonna cross in? They are not feeling confident enough as they know they wont score from a header. Now i know Rooney is such a big presence and bring confidence to the team.
Just believe….I really got a feeling federico is going to explode in the 2nd half
We need to start making correct decisions at the final third of the pitch. We wasted several good situations that could have led to something more. Valencia should have scored.
We now need to score one quickly as we do not want them defending with 11 men at the later stages of the match.
I thought Berba played really well as an Attacking midfield. And I honestly that should be his role from now on. We dont have an attacking midfielder, Scholes and Giggs are the closets thing we have to a play maker. So I would say, Fergie play Rooney and that new kid Hernandez upfront with Berbatov and Fletcher in midfield, Berba hardly loses the ball and can score goals.
Valencia should of scored. But oh well. Im sure we will score in the second half.
COME ON UNITED!
Ji and gabby are warming up
Looks like Obertan to come on… he is one unpredictable player! I wonder if even he knows where his feet go…
macheda is god
Well.. 1. he should have scored and 2. he has been a bit weak the last games including today.. he has not been the player we have seen the rest of the season.. therefor he needs to get his act together
kiko is doing well….He could have scored had nani not lazily chipped it than passed it hard and low
He’s a good finisher macheda We need him to stay on the pitch
Manchuchu
he has been creating most our chances so please..
I think it’s better if we bring evra because blackburn are counter attacking which is an easy task for Rio and nemanja So an attacking fullback would be nice because we would have another attacker…
sprite….WHAT????? LOL hasn’t been good on the games? 2 assists against bayern munich is bad?
He’s not a good finisher and we know it but his balls in the box are great….It’s just there is no one to put a head on it,Dimitar is sitting deep and kiko was being marked from samba (thank god he got subbed off)
If we take nani off and put park in the middle giggs on the left toni on the right and Ji with scholes we’d be safe
no good, lot of procession but no goals. playing into blackburn strategy. they have lots of legs on the bench to spread the play in the 2nd half & tire us out. we need a goal quickly into the 2nd half. berba is playing very well in midfield. kiko is abit rusty. we need a goal soon.
Come on United.
With every game a certain player from Bulgaria starts i am starting to understand better and better why some of the regulars quit this blog. It’s just plain ridiculous.
United! United! United!
would be a bit of a gamble bringing gabby on…he just played on thursday for the reserves (he scored too!)
Take berbatov off. Grannies play in another league
COME ON UNITED!!!!
@ Kel
Ya I understand your frustration but that is his style. You don’t have to like it but it is the style. He comes back to help build play and it isn’t like he is nowhere near the box everytime a cross comes in. He is in and around it trying to get involved. He is working and created our best chance of the half. I think besides Nani he has been our best this half. Vidic and Rio are doing well at the back but we have had so much possession we just have to take our chance. Which we have proven we do well.
I think his gestures is an area we agree. I have said on this blog and been criticized by Scott and others for thinking he allows his frustration to boil over and he lets it loose on the other players. I have argued and continue to believe that his behavior is a detriment to the team at times and does not help the cause. I am not against tearing into your teammates but I think you have to earn the right. Neville, Rooney, Giggs, Vidic, and Rio have earned that. Berba has not yet earned it for me and just don’t think he should act like that on the pitch. He has been playing well today and that is what I am concerned with. He is allowed to boil over at times but think he better serves the team by controling his emotions.
On to the second half and on to grabbing a win! COME ON UNITED! COME ON BERBA!
fuck you manchuchu
Don’t know why people like manchuchu bother watching football… choose another game like rugby league or something
yucccck rio dislogated finger.
i hate those
Okay that finger made me wanna vomit
Manchuchu – Stick behind the team out there. Who you bringing on for Berba who as much skill and vision that is on the bench? Speak nonesense somewhere else.
exactly tony
Not a great start. Need to get going. Macheda has been nearly invisible out there.
Macheda is god: your Bulgarian girlfriend is ugly, and has delusions of playing a sweeper. Take your straw out of his ass. Trust him to turn 4-4-2 into 4-5-1
GIGGS WILL TEAR YOU APART AGAIN
manchcuchu i dont like berbatov either but hes doing great so fuck off
I’m so sick and tired of this Berba debate. No doubt he hasn’t scored enough goals but to slag him off saying he doesn’t contribute anything to the team is just silly. His role in the team is a bit different today.Great pass to Valencia as well.
And how is Rio playing with a dislocated finger?
wtf is nani doing?
Huzza gibbo. Hope u brought your shooting boots son
Your suggestion is to make Macheda the lone striker and take of Berba after an hour where Berba has created two chances and Macheda has not yet to produce anything of merit? I am not saying Macheda isn’t quality but he has simply been invisible so far today. My Bulgarian gf is actual contributing.
gibson probably told to shot on site
CMON NANI!!
How shit have our corners and freekicks been this season? I’m almost disappointed when we get one.
we dont have a real free kick specialist
need wednesdays nani to turn up
Nani is lively, but his decision making and end product is not there at all
I feel very sleepy..
Manchcuchcuhcucuhcuhcuhuchuchc and you say berbatov is pants?? This guy just shoots for fun.
look devoid of any serious attacking threat
Come on PJS
Kick that hair commercial in the face Nani! Cmon Park let’s kungfu power!
Bring patrice and Ji on…
They are all missing end product right now. Park on for Macheda. Manchuchu I guess Sir Alex sides with my gf on this one.
we’re really not creating enough chances and not even troubling their defence. This team lack inspiration even with Nev, Scoles and Giggs at the moment. And no good finisher too in the line-up.
1-0 win will do…COME ON LADS!!!
I think park will score
fucking gibson greedy
What the fuck is gibson doing..
At least he shoots…
WHAT THE FUCK IS THE REF DOING?
He’s shit and greedy.
why is Berba being ignored on the ground by everybody?? I found it funny though…
come on berba, there’s no time to sulk, be more aggressive please!!!
I hope this would turn into a boxing game so I don’t feel sleepy
Our attacking option is bad. No speed on forward area which makes nani to play on forward. Macheda did well but asking a 18 years lad to do a job alone is tough. I still think berbatov should take the forward line.
For fucks sakes lets score
yessss evra!!
Hey look no foul
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS REF ON???
Thereadlegion what a motherfucking surprise
Berba went down? I thought he did not play today? Lol
Yeah show him who’s the boss deer saar
fuck berbatov!! what a waste of money…the guy has got an attitude problem and thinks he’s above the others….i cant stand this cunt anymore… what a fucking waste!!!
bye bye berbs
cannot score a simple chance
WHAT THE FUCK DIMITAR
We need that one. Should ahve tested the keeper more
Let Berba alone man didn’t u see his thundering shot?
Fergie breakdancing
I think Berba should see me playing him on playstation He scored a hat rick last night
how costly will the valencia miss be
COME ON UNITED
another miss by berbatov
if he wants all the fans to be on his side…he must do something in the last 5 minutes
Hate to say it but second half United performance has been terrible – first half promised so much… we don’t even deserve to win this game
what is RIo doing standing off them
joke attack today
Rio struggling with a groin problem.
fuckin’ hell, time is almost up… somebody put the ball into the net!!!
please do something berba, i’m tired of getting behind your back…
5 games including this one to prove your worth!!! otherwise it’s over!!!
Yeah throw your toys out of the pram you Bulgarian toddler
Fuck gibson hes shit
im fed up!!! this fucking pussy berbatov has to get the fuck out of united….the fucker is useless!!
great defending gary
RED NEZ STILL UP FOR IT…..AMAZING
toothless display today, seems like that’s been the case for the last month or so. either no one wants to shoot or they only want to take idiotic ones
anyone wish we had Tevez… this was usually his time… (sorry I just couldn’t help put that in..)
The fear I have is that even if we do get a chance we aren’t going to score.
a draw/lose will complete a hattrick of shitty season along with chelsea and bayern game…
try again next season with a better squad!!!
I,M afraid Berbatov needs to be gone from here….. a couple of times we have needed him to step up and all we get is petulance ….Sorry, Ghtt and King Eric, he needs to be offloaded he is a liability
Hey look no foul – part IX
can see the season ending with
chelsea doing the double
sesspool winning the europa
and us now loosing next week to man city aswell
fuck.
our PL quest is as good as over!!!
Wow. Poor performance in the 2nd half.
Just looking at Berba, it looks like the fight has gone from him. He had a go at a couple of our players today. Now we really need Chelsea to collapse which I can’t see happening.
I have to say the way Berbatov conducted himself today was embarrassing.
AHHHHH WELL.. IF WE CANT GO TO FUCKIN BLACKBURN AND GET 3 POINTS WHEN WE NEED THEM THE MOST, DO WE REALLY DESERVE TO BE CHAMPIONS???
SIR ALEX GET YOUR SCOUTS OUT THERE AND BRING IN SOME FUCKIN CREATIVITY!!
I feel the midfield can add more to attack. If there is a good midfield attacker. He can add more to the forward. Our forward line is weak and in the end, Park, Scholes, Nevill got chance to score. However, there is no one in the box able to score. I feel this is not a bad result as now we know where our problem is and we can spend money to buy some player to add to our squad.
ROOOOOOOONEY SCORES LAST MINUTE GOAL!
oh wait
got injured playing too long vs bayern
That’s it. I’ve stuck up for Berbatov for a long time now, but he has to fucking go. Useless from start to finish and moaning like a fucking girl.
berbatov out!! NOW!!!! he’s not worth staying at this club…. fuck him! all through the game i was wishing that he’d get injured just to see the back of him… what a fucking disgrace this guy is
Our team cannot do what the kidz at Arsenal do, to launch a massive attack in the last 10 minutes and get something. What a poor display. Please SAF, sell Berba in the summer.
Berbatov had an ok game, Nani had a horrible game
Anyone still think berbaflop’s any good?
@Tony Starks – Sorry mate, Tevez can fuck off to City, don’t want him.
Gutless display though, I’m shocked. Don’t know where to begin honestly. The season ain’t over but this result leaves us needing far too much help for my liking. And I’m not one for slating Berbatov, I’m actually a staunch supporter of his, but he makes it fucking hard sometimes. Every game he’s led the line we’ve said “Berba, your time to shine, come on lad, score goals, etc.” and he has yet to do it.
Like I said the season isn’t over but if the Chelscum result coupled with being kicked out of Europe couldn’t spur us on I don’t know what will.
Alas, we’ll never die, I believe in four on the trot.
That was SHIT. CRAP. EMBARRASSING. AWFUL. HORRIBLE. SEASON OVER. Might as well kiss even the 2nd place goodbye.
@Colbert He looks like Gallas to me and i dont really like it. All these frustration shown is able to what? Why not spend all your concentration to play your game and instead blame other player in every chance, why not take a chance your own when it matters?
I guess thats the bye to the title this year none the less… We must finish the league strongly…
Wtf was that? Seriously. Chelsea would be laughing their heads off at that gutless performance. I swear we played like a punch of twats. We didnt only increase the gap, but now even the Arse can climb on top of us. Any chance of winning the title probably disappeared. I feel like such an asshole after praising Berbas first half performance. He was useless. Neville was good defensively but he really let us down with his utter wank crossing and Oshea too. Park coming on was a mistake. I really dont get it. He isnt excatly feared when he’s going forward. Gibson added nothing, he was too slow and didnt look focused. I can whine about this performance all day and point out all their faults, but there’s no point. We wont improve until we have Wazza back. We are not a one man team, we are just lacking confidence. Disappointing performance.
Rooney is sorely missed, his movement keeps the defense moving. Berba does not offer that. He can maybe work as an attacking mid, but after defending him for so long, it’s clear that he simply cannot do the job of a striker. I don’t care about his goal record for Bulgaria. If he can’t do it for the team in the United system, he doesn’t deserve to be here. And his complaining on the pitch does not help. Today was the last straw.
@Marq Berbatov had a bad game. A forward cant score goal is good? All the team is poor. I think only Vidic and Ferdinand is able to say they play well.
This is becoming a season to forget and for the Bawlgayrian 2 seasons and still shit
berbatov is nothing less than a lazy useless piece of shit
Well, what can you say! Should’ve made the good first half performance into goals… another case of, if only. Seems to be pretty much the case the last few weeks.
I’m sure all those who stick by berba will come out and defend him about how he holds up the ball, comes up with moments of absolute genius etc but PULEEZ open ur eyes.
He holds up the ball instead of passing onto options and totally slows down the play, dont tell me i dont know my football cause its plain as the nose on my face that he is shitting on man utd.
And how often have i seen berba playing where scholes should be playing its fucking embarrassing. Why did macheda come off? He was a head above berba. FUck berba. Genius my fucking balls.
THis has pretty much blown the title for us…4 matches and our season is over. FUcking hell im so pissed off with berba right now sell berba for whatever you can get he aint worth a fuckin penny.
I am so disappointed now im going home peace out.
Worse thing is we might actually finish third, Arsenal have the opportunity to overtake us now.
People will blame Berba as usual, but can you doubt the lad’s commitment? You could see he wanted it today, he still feels he has something to prove.
Let’s be the honest, the overall performance was bad today.
FUCKING FUCK FUCK FUCKITTY FUCK FUCK.
Big Sam never intended to try and win this game set his team up for a nil all draw.
Blackburn should be ashamed of themselves and so should we.
Berbatov has finally proved what a sulky cunt he is… blaming everything and everybody but himself.
we need to plat as a team more looking for the offload pass instead of going for glory again and again (Valencia).
Oh not to mention berbatovs reaction when macheda gave away the ball…throwing his hands in the air like a fuckin ronaldo esque piece of shit and how many times has he lost the ball himself fucking cock
I see the Berba-bashers are out in force, blah, blah, somehow this bad result is Berbatov’s fault, etc, etc, if you don’t understand Dimitar Berbatov you don’t understand football, blah, blah, blah.
simply not good enough..
We have blown it and we cannot use injuries as an excuse. Simply we are not good enough to win the title this year.
Extremely poor display. I cannot explain the lack of urgency shown today.
I only feel sorry for the fans that travelled to Blackburn. They were magnificent as always and they deserved better.
Have always defended Berba, but i’ve had enough. He just is not up to scratch. WTF!!! So pissed. When our wingers struggle to put in good crosses and there is no one there is a disgrace. Sell the burger now!.Where was Rafael and Evra should have started burn or not. Anyway the lads tried but Macheda and Berba were useless
looking forward to next season. so close this season, looks like it’s not going to be afterall. i’ll remember the last 2 min of the bayern game which define our season. fucked. we need to come back stronger next season. alot of good squad players but not enough match winners. need to change. berba, looks more & more like a midfielder, good player no doubt, buy never ever really able to win us games unfortunately. we need another good striker to partner/back up rooney. next season is another beginning.
It may be melodramtic but season over? I’m beginning to think so. Are we playing for runnersup?
berba genius ???? well, in that case then am also a fucking genius
Kevin – I said all the long united are thread bear upfront. and it has shown united do not have any strength in depth upfront beyond rooney. and it is crazy for fergie to go into next season with the same striking options, we got away with it in 2007 because we did have alot of forwards that did get into double figures but this season we dont have that.
It’s not fair to be here alone at times like this. Buddies don’t do this.
I am afraid to tell everything that goes through my mind so i would be better off mute.
I think Sir Alex made a mistake by changing the team too much today. Although it’s not his fault that the players didn’t turn up but I think it affects the game a bit.
Wow. The commentator is saying berbatov and he agree that what he shows is blame, petulance.. He also say Berbatov is no cantona and what gives him the right to show to other players to do better as he himself never do well. Cantona stroll around the park but he produce brilliant of magic but berbatov shows petulance to others. When Rooney is missing they are missing that drive upfront. Berbatov should stay upfront and as a striker drops to the midfield and the field become smaller with no one upfront.
I do agree with the ones putting the blame on the midfield. Tbh we simply do not create enough chances, which is why we find our strikers always dropping deep to collect the ball and create something. Our wingers are really good but the problem lies in the Center of the midfield. We are becoming too predictable. Pass the ball to Scholes who will eventually cross it to either Valenica or Nani. We need an attacking midfield that will bomb forward and occasionally get a goal. I have suggested putting Berbatov there instead of getting rid of him in the summer. But that means we have to by a well established striker to partner Rooney upfront. That doesnt come cheap.
It’s been depressing times, but stay strong. Hopefully we will not disappoint and can somehow win the league.
Btw, Our players really need to stop asking for penalties and wasting their time. We are United, we simply do NOT get penalties.
Well not sure what to say. Don’t want to be negative, but it’s done. I am not gonna blame anyone, but will say that it’s obvious we need reinforcements. As a matter of fact I think we need two. Attacking CM and a striker, but with Anderson and Hargo coming back I don’t think we gonna get anything in that department and this Mexican kid might be the striker. Just enjoy the remaining 4 games for what they are. Spurs and City game are gonna be fun now, considering we have nothing to loose.
@Xyth – absolutely spot on bro. sorry forgot to mention our travelling fans. they are the best!
Rubbish performance from united.I think fergie doesnt know how to pick a match winning or a proper starting XI.Sorry for blaming sir alex but y cannot he understand that we dont play well with three oldies (nev, giggs, scoles) together.
I hope we buy players.Guys i hate to say it forget about this season if our squad remains the same we woulld be doing a liverpool.we have to spend.
Corea – I am not going to be like that but the blogg does seem dead now without the regulers
why always blame berbatov, he put valencia through one on one he puts that away its a done deal but he missed it
actually they are all fucking shite.
we aimed to try and win the league on the cheap and it hasnt worked
unless the whole of the chelsea (and arsenal team) lose their sight till the end of the season our season has officially gone from potentially epic to a 99% certain disaster in the space of 13 days. Sorry, the positivity has gone – i can’t believe after how well this season was going we may finish 3rd.
I know saf thinks we don’t need to buy or spend big but after the last fortnight we need to make at least one significant buy if not 2 (and probably spend relatively big to do so) to make sure we have other well working options when certain players can’t play.
(any chance bolten, spurs, and stoke can do the one, two, three triple threat on chelsea?! – wishful thinking!)
@Kel,
A forward wont always score every game. Yes maybe Berbatov did not score, but imo Nani had a worst time out there, yes he was buzzing around, but he was as good as taking the ball from us and giving it to Blackburn. I am not defending Berbatov, but he is not the only one who did not step up to the mark. Giggs was horrible, rightly taken off, Valencia missed the chance of the game, O’Shea never crossed the halfway line, Scholes was no where. So it is only right to blame the team, not just Berbatov
“Spurs and City game are gonna be fun now, considering we have nothing to loose.”
so painful.
and where the hell is Diouf????????????
Really guys? Berbatov “piece of shit”? Just because of a few bad results and bad performances (and not JUST from Berba) you start labelling a Manchester United player, one of OURS a “piece of shit”? So that’s the kind of fans you are? Fuck that, we don’t have a divine right to win for fuck’s sake. It was disappointing, but it’s A TEAM GAME. We win together, we DIE TOGETHER. I’m not saying you’re not allowed to criticise Berbatov, but why do you have to call him “shit” blablabla? Get behind the team instead of always trying to find a scapegoat for fuck’s sake!
@ Fred Berbatov is a good player but we need a striker that is able to win the game for us when we need him. In this match how many times he groan and blame to his team mates? We like hardworkers and no someone that blame and demoralize the team so much like him.. This has nothing to do with dont understand football. I feel that you protect him too much and you lose your stand but we like player that tried and work for the team and also like the good attitude of the player. I dont really like all the groan and blaming. Sorry.
Marq – but it has shown united do not have strength in depth in the striker department the mexican forward we just signed I hope does step up to the plate
i meant doing a liverpool next season.
Why are you all blaming Berbatov when theres 9 other outfield players on the pitch? Valencia should of scored, 1v1 and plenty of the goal to aim at. Why is nobody blaming Valencia? You’re all pathetic.
Yeah.. the team was sooo up for it.. everyone but berbatov.. are you serious?
Valencia was crap, giggs, scholes, gibson, park, nani, macheda and yes berbatov..there are other players to blame as well..
@Marq Sorry i didnt mention only Berbatov only. I say the whole team who say they perform well is Vidic and Ferdinand. The rest had a poor game. I only [hate] the blaming of the team mate (his attitude) that is pissing me.
When Gary Neville comes closest to scoring you know something’s badly wrong.
I’ll get flamed for this but it needs addressing. The golden oldies have no place starting important games for us. A team that features a 35 year old right-back and a central midfield pairing with a combined age of 71 is not a team that is going to win the league.
Fred – the only thing I do understand is since rooney has been out our results have been a disaster, but is it asking to much for other players to step up to the plate isnt that how championship winning teams do it
Just not good enough from the lads today all the ball, but created very little with it. The problem with playing Scholes and Giggs is there’s no energy in midfield and it was all very predictable. I’ve been a fan of Berba all season, but the boss has a decision to make in the summer, does he give him another season, or does he off – load him.
I think unless Chelsea really mess up and throw it away, then that should be league gone. I’m more worried now about securing second place and avoiding having to qualify for the champions league.
Lacked the final touch. No end product all day. Disappointed in the all around display. Didn’t think Nani or Berba played particularly bad but they didn’t light it up either. We simply lacked someone who would take the game by the scruff of the neck. We simple missed Rooney. The problem is with the amount of talent and money on the field you expect better. All in all I would have taken this result had it come in October but in April it is a bitter pill to have to swallow. It is now two game sin the EPL without a win at the time of the season where wins are all that matters.
I defend Berba all the time and he was one of the only glimmers of hope on the day but he sulks far too much. His attitude is a detriment to the team. When we looked for inspiration we got petulance. If he wants my full backing he needs to improve in that area. Go out and play and leave it to Fergie to criticize.
We held possession and created chances but it didn’t happen. Blackburn put up a tough defense and Robinson made a good save against Valencia. There defense shut down most of our attacks and they deserve some credit. However, I do not think they earned a draw the game but rather we didn’t win it. We have to show more quality going forward and take our chances. We have it in us to still win the title but it is now completely out of our hands. We can only win our remaining games and hope Chelsea, an in-form side, drop points.
Makes me wonder where it all went wrong. We were flying high looking sure ins to the Champions League final. We have players who won 3 EPL titles, been to two Champions League finals, and won one of them so surely we didn’t take our foot off the gas or show inexperience. We have the best manager in the game who always puts the players in a position to be successful so it wasn’t like a fat Spanish waiter came in and threw a wrench into our plans.
When I search through my memories I come up feeling that he turning point in this season so far was the Wembley pitch. I believe Rooney injured his ankle due to being weak in his knee. Physical Therapy guys tell me all the time that injuries in one part of the leg often can cause injury in other areas due to the fact the body compensates. I think that Wembley pitch hurt Rooney’s knee which made him but more pressure on his ankle causing the somewhat freak twist he did at the end of the Munich game. Without Rooney we lack inspiration and that feeling of inevitable of the win. We are a better squad then most teams we will play with or without him but we do not have a player of his quality that plays in his position who simply takes games over.
The year is not over and Rooney will come back but the squad has to insure that when he does we are still within a chance to win the title. We have got to beat City and now an immense game just got bigger. If we draw or lose that game the season is over as it is for the rest of the games this season. If we win out and still lose out to Chelsea I can learn to live with that. I won’t like it but I will at least be content in saying we did nearly all we could and gave it all. If we can beat City I think it will give us confidence that we can put pressure on Chelsea. Chelsea are in the driver seat but as we all know, especially this season, that is no guarantee. We have the players and it is on them now. Some of them might be playing for there Old Trafford future.
I’ve not been a Berba basher or a Berba praiser, I’ve been undecided for a long time but I think he should go in the summer. Nothing to do with today, we just need a striker that can offer us more.
@rooney the new king – cheers.
@Marq – maybe it’s just not our year ? i was confident we wouldn’t lose to Chelsea and at least be ahead of them. But everytime we just have to win the game we blow it. I can’t see it anything different than destiny.
i have said if we win the title this season, it really would have been the sweetest yet. now, looking for like it could be the most awful season yet.
chelski winning the EPL & FA cup double (fuckurwifey terry)
loserpool winning Europa (fuck face stevie-me)
us helping the bitters next week to strengthen their grip on 4th spot & sent them into Champion League next year (argie twat)
fuck, this can’t be happening. can’t be.
we just trash milan 4-0 not so long ago at home didnt we? chelski were dropping points like nobody business arent they? spurs will looking like taking the 4th spot from shitty & loserpools, didnt they?
fuck the last 2 min in germany. shiy happens.
we must come back stronger next season.

Jish Inc. says:
“Have always defended Berba, but i’ve had enough. He just is not up to scratch.”
—
Another one sees the light.
Btw, to those who thinks “Its only Blackburn”
Go check their home record under Big Sam, you’ll be surprised
“I’m more worried now about securing second place and avoiding having to qualify for the champions league.”
sorry, but does the third place team in the premiership have to play preliminaries ?
I think its better not to win the league this season than to win.i may sound like a drunk guy but if we win the league then our great manager sir alex ferguson would not sign anyone and we would have more or less the same team next season.I still believe in fergie and always will because he is the best but now he has toaccept that we need players.
O well we’ve not had the luck this year – but also lately we have shown we don’t have the depth and quality we had in previous seasons – surely you have to be totally blind not to see that
The team was horrible today, but no one had a worse attitude than Berbatov and that says a lot. Decent player but he doesn’t fit with our style of play. Hopefully this Mexican kid works out so we have two good, young, consistent strikers. We can’t go through a season with just one striker we can rely on.
Dimitar Berbatov fuck off out of our club you fucking parasite. Oh sorry we`re not allowed to critisize, he`s still just getting used to playing for united. But we can slag of ronaldo for being disloyal etc. But nobody minded us being champions for three years running and european champions. Ronaldo wasn`t perfect but he fucking delivered when it mattered. But at least berba wanted to play for us, and he`s got such a good football brain. So who cares if we don`t win anything this year, because dimitar chose us over man city and we should all be eternally grateful for that. Wanker.
We’re too reliant on the other title challengers to drop points this season. I’m sorry but that’s just not champions material. We lost 7 games and you cannot win the league with losing that much. Here’s to next season!
and again, FUCK BERBATOV!!!
fucking hell nani was the only one trying out there !!
@Kevin Well thought.
But the way i still feel that Giggs and Scholes can’t play together in the midfield. They are too slow. We need more drive and creativity in the middle. If anderson is here maybe he can provide some sparks.
worry about second place? to be honest if we don’t win, then i couldn’t care less whether we second or third
@willirednut
I think now even 3rd spot guarantees you to qualify directly. It’s only the team in 4th spot that has to play an extra round.
As for backing the team, I completely agree: we win together, we die together. But I believe in giving credits where credit’s due, so if someone plays great, he should be lauded.
Berbaflop is a disgrace as a mentality, not only a player. I don’t uderstand how anybody who has seen the likes of Cantona and Sheringham compare him to those two legends. They had bad games, too, that’s for sure, but they also brought magic when magic was needed and were models for younger players. Berbaflop has no magic in his feet and is no model with his Bulgarian whining. The man was supposed to deliver today. He didn’t and he should rightfully be criticised.
where is the pro berba right now ??
so because valencia misses a fucking easy sitter.. it becomes berbatov’s fault??
when nani cant make a fucking simple pass it becomes berbatov’s fault??
when fergie changes to 4-5-1 when we need to win it becomes berbatov’s fault??
when fergie brings on evra instead of a attacking winger it becomes berbatov’s fault??
sort yourself out.. try to be a true united fan and watch the game properly…
the moaning i agree but come on.. even rooney does that at times so shut the fuck up
but saying that.. our season’s over.. only thing to play for is the derby.. for the bragging right..
@ Fred
I’m expecting most people to finally give up the ghost and admit that Berbatov just isnt a United player. Two league games in a row. Two season changing moments. Two unchallenged volleys inside the box. The keeper comfortably catches both of them. Is that the return we should expect for £31m? Fuckin do one Dimitar
I just can’t understand what SAF was thinking with the Midfield today. We needed more drive from Midfield and with Giggs and Scholes we just don’t have that. And taking Kiko off was odd as he wasn’t having the greatest game but he was a forward player (TBH at time the midfield were just refusing to play it quickly too him). I thought Berba was doing pretty well when he had Kiko with him but seemed to fade a fair bit later on.
Scholes especially can be an issue, he can spray the balls around as well as anyone but he plays way way way too deep these days and doesn’t provide you with the solid defensive base you need to release an attacking Midfielder to get ahead of the play when Berba drops deeper
@obertanthenewstar – when you look at the table our seson is still on, mate. games like this doesn’t make you feel better but we must fight till the end.
Last year, we just had that feeling we would score. We had the belief and hope that our team would get something out of the game. I just dont get that same feeling anymore. Against Chelsea I knew we were too later, same goes against Bayern and Blackburn today. We lost our cutting edge. The urgency. We wasted too many opportunities. And in the second half didnt create enough. Neville constantly missing up a cross, surely didnt helo the teams self-confidence. We looked lost.
We are the fucking champions. Its too late to let chances slip now. We need to wake the fuck up, if we still want to win. I just dont see the desire there. I just see tiredness, frustration, disappointment.
We need to improve.
We can kiss 2nd place goodbye too. Looks like a double winning season for the rent boy cunts. We need to invest wisely for next season. We have to be a bit ruthless and gradually ease out Scholes, Giggs and Neville and move with times. And for fuck sake, we need someone with a bit of pace up front. Very disappointing. I hope Rooney’s back for City next week or we could be in a bit of bother in that game. That’s my gripe, needed to get that off my chest. I’m just fucked off because I know we are better than that.
Coera – I think you have to qualify, if you finish third, maybe someone else can clear that up. I see Berba’s gonna get all the blame again, what about Valencia missing a one on one with the keeper.
I’ve rarely come on here to dip my oar in but I can’t believe some of the crap you dickheads are spouting.
This used to be one of the places you could come to to hear rational argument and opinion on United. Now it’s full of glory hunters who think we should be signing players like ribery, sergio aguero and getting rid of carrick and berbatov.
sayyid, rad legion, red army 7, manchuchu, macheda is god etc.
You can all bicker amongst yourselves but at the end of the day you all seem pretty quick to piss on every little minor mistake made by one of lads. fuck gibson fuck nani fffffffffuuuuuuuucccccccckkkkkk berbatov.
it’s embarrassing and something worthy of the chavs and the dippers to be getting on the backs of our players.
p.s. my thoughts on todays game were that blackburn played frustratingly for a draw, were solid defensively and did really well in allowing nani/valencia no real time on the wings. then again i would have started 4-5-1 and then bring macheda on as an impact player like against chelsea. felt like after he was taken off we didnt adjust our shape enough to stretch blackburn. i think we missed rooney today even more than chelsea, i seriously hope he’s back against city.
the fundation of the team was not working today.. funny how everyone can blame ONE player.. makes me laugh a lot..
Toby says:
“Why are you all blaming Berbatov when theres 9 other outfield players on the pitch? Valencia should of scored, 1v1 and plenty of the goal to aim at. Why is nobody blaming Valencia? You’re all pathetic.”
sprite says:
“Yeah.. the team was sooo up for it.. everyone but berbatov.. are you serious?
Valencia was crap, giggs, scholes, gibson, park, nani, macheda and yes berbatov..there are other players to blame as well..”
—
Same old shit. The £31m striker in the prime of his career can’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo and wasted at least three good chances but it’s not his fault, let’s blame the other players…
@Corea
yeh i understand that.. but i really dont understand why we went 4-5-1 when we clearly need to win
and obertan would clearly have added more than park and evra clearly to the attack
if u disagree.. just watch the wolfburg game again and tell me who else can do that
and the worst thing is.. everyone blames berbatov?? berbatov cannot control everything.. i agree his shooting and goals ratio is poor but he atleast sets up players and they really should do better.. we should have won 1-0 and then everyone would be praising dimitar…
@willierednut – i’ve heard commentator saying only 4th place has to qualify, mate.
I thing if Valencia had scored we would have won it, for sure. But as i’ve said it just isn’t our season.
Ok….. Whats happening to this blog…. Whats with all the negative energy…..
Red Sam – Grow up mate.
Berba didn;t do well today but singling him out is just silly, tbh. The whole team was awful.
O’Shea should’ve been subbed off earlier. Should’ve start De Laet/Fabio/Rafael there. He’s just back from an injury FFS!
Nani can’t take a decent corner for shit. Hell, when was the last time we scored from corners?
Valencia should’ve pulled the ball to side before slotting it in instead of blasting it straight at the keeper.
Scholes was mostly a passenger. Didn’t dictate the game anymore like he used to.
Neville left his crossing boots in the parking lot.
Macheda. A bit selfish with the ball.
Gibson. Pointless.
we should just offer him to barca thats where his football will suite best. its hard to take that a 30m stricker can be in the same scoring bracket with vermaeleen a defender in his first season !!
I thought i saw the incredible sulk just now ? But why was he all red ?
@Fred – i am afraid you are clutching at straws, mate. 3 good chances ? yes of course.
@obertanthenewstar – Obertan ? i think it’s just a hindsight. Park added smth to the game but i i didn’t agree Macheda had had to come off. We just weren’t good and lucky enough.
Why is everyone saying we played awful? I half expected this result. With the players we had out there we was all ways going to struggle to create anything. All well and good in the past few season when you have the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo and Tevez on the pitch. Take them out and this is what you get.
I know everyone is just plain ( how shall i put it) disappointed with the performance of our team but honestly the sell every player who does have a bad game is not the solution.. And besides who in the world would have thought that only berbatov would be the only senior forward left… he is after all better only with either rooney or owen…
Very disappointing today, I have to say, I expected it though. Blackburn were always going to be tough to break down.
babyfacedassassin – Spot on pal.
Same old shit. The £31m striker in the prime of his career can’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo and wasted at least three good chances but it’s not his fault, let’s blame the other players…
wasted at least 3 good chances?? He had one chance blocked and had one shot AT GOAL(!!)(not every united player was able to hit the target) saved by robinson.. the way you put it he missed a sitter, something I believe Valencia did in 1. half..
You also use irony when you suggest we blame the other players.. so you really think all players had 10/10 performances but berbatov? you need a reality check.. watch the game over again please..
The next season is our season
I am a huge Berba supporter but today it was hard being his supporter. He had a great chance. He has absolutely no confidence. I don’t think he has been terrible but just not good enough.
It has been a tough season, both off and on the field. We need to slowly phase out our senior players. Let us not forget that we are in transition.
But we are one point behind Chelsea. They have to play at Spurs.
But all that doesn’t matter when we don’t play well.
A good player brings confidence to the team. =D Look out for next season. I believe we will come back.
In Nov, Dec I could understand our poor form due to the freakish injury crisis which lets face it is a one off..but in games like this there arent any excuses to be made..you’d still expect us to beat Blackburn even without Rooney
Nani’s corner taking was SHOCKING today though probably our best player
Neville’s crossing dismal though at least he didnt get sent off after 55 mins
Carrick not even on the bench..time’s up?
As much as it pains me to say, but we don’t deserve the title this year (neither do Chelsea or Arsenal, but that’s a different subject).
I have always supported Berbatov, but I think he has to go this summer. He is a fantastic footballer I have always looked up to, (definately better than that Ibrahimovic cunt), but for some reason he can’t make it at United. Don’t know why, but something doesn’t click for him here, theres someting missing . And I wouldn’t hope for him to turn it around like Nani did, because he’s already 29 while Nani’s only 23 and I think it’s a huge difference. Don’t get me wrong I’m not blaming Berba for the way our season turned out; for that I think our lack of presence in midfield and partly our defence crisis is responsible.
All in all I think our future’s bright and although I’m a bit dissapointed by this season, it’s still a great achievement compared to what people expected at the beginning of the season when Ronaldo and Tevez left.
Just one more thing. We don’t need any new signings this summer apart from a world-class goalkeeper and midfielder. If we could boss the midfield even in the big matches when this season we needed to send all of our midfielders (i.e. 5) on the pitch then we would be unbeatable.
@willierednu
Yeah the rules have changed mate. Only 4th has to qualify.
To be fair we`ve had a lot of injury problems at the back this year and rooney getting injured when he did was a disaster. If everyone stayed fit i think we`d have won the league. Really need to get top class support for rooney next year though.
Corea – the title for united this season is over to many pts dropped and the loss of ronaldo and tevez and defence being battered with injurys and not getting a striker to make up for the loss has cost united the title
I stayed well clear of the internet and newspapers after the Bayern defeat. It was worth it because forgetting about that defeat was the best way to get over it, and as expected the sell-Berbatov-and Carrick, buy-this-player-and-that, Sack-Fergie-bring-in-Mourinho bandwagons have collapsed.
Anyway, we had an oppourtinity to put pressure on Chelsea by getting the 3 points today. Sadly, we blew it, like we did many times before in the same situation. It was looking so good a few weeks ago, but everything just fucked up.
We were good first half, had plenty of possesion but still struggled to break through. In the second half, we did try to create but our end product was absolute rubbish. And don’t you have to SHOOT to score? Well why was no one doing so? We just did not look like scoring at all.
We can have recriminatory arguments all day long about refs and their decisions, individual players, tactics, etc but in all honesty we didn’t turn up when we were expected to in our most important clash this season – against Chelsea.
I don’t want to see this. http://english.people.com.cn/200604/30/images/0429_D98.jpg. They don’t deserve it, the cunts. They have done NOTHING this season to prove that they are worthy of it. It is their’s to lose now. They will have to have a monumental fuck up in order for us to retain hope.
We don’t have the right to win it every year, but winning 4 on the trot seemed just so likely before we threw it down the drain. Achieveing the unachieved. We just have to focus on winning our remaining games now.
If the rents win it, then roll on next season. With players like Hargreaves and Brown coming/recovering from injury we will have more fresh players back in the squad and next season we will be firing on all cylinders. This season was all about gelling in the new players in the team but now that they have played together for a whole season they will be as hot as ever next year.
We have been in worse times and in worse positions before, so there is no need to moan like children. What has happened has happened. We have went through awfully painful times before, but we never crumbled and stopped going. We will pick ourselves up after this and give it a real shot, even if it turns out for nothing in the end. We have played some fantastic football this season and after losing The Then Best Player In The World we are still challenging for the title. All in all I think we have done pretty well considering all obstacles.
We will never die, reds.
Dickheads texting and phoning in to talksport saying saf should go now, plastc cunts. Go and support City, or the rentboys, United don’t need fans like yous.
How many teams have 4 titles in a row? None.
Because it is difficult. It is hard to do something like that. Cut the team some slack.
Maybe berba needs to have a chat with the gaffer about “what it means to be a united player”… Although i think he is running around a lot more than he usually, i guess that must make a lot of people “happy”, he has lost himself in an attempt to satisfy the supporters…
“Red Sam – Grow up mate”
so whats this blog all about a berbancunia?? is everybody on this blog expected to kiss his ass even when hes let the whole team down ?? sorry wllierednut i ain’t buying that crap mate
willierednut – typical plastics fergie has delivered recent success, it is the players who should be blammed not fergie spoilt CUNTS
fze123
Good post. We’ll be much stronger next season. This is by no means a crisis.
Fergie will know just what to do, like he has in the past.
@willierednut – cheers pal
The whole team was awful just now, but if Berba could score his chances, we would have won. Same goes to Valencia, but i dont expect much from him since he’s not a striker. Berba was simply the spoiler of our attacking moves. I cant fucking stand it when he delays the attack, and try to do so much with the ball. Talking about exquisite eh Berba ? So much for exquisite. Cant even stand on your fucking legs. Its over Berba, I’m sorry. Im pretty sure SAF is done with him. WELCOME TO MANCHESTER, CHICHARITO ! ( and a creative central midfielder please )
sinred – to many injurys, a couple of key players lost it was always going to be almost impossible to win 4 in a row.
Che Guevarist – Cheers mate. We’ll bounce back next season and win the league, it’s hard to win 4 leagues in a row.
@ babyfacedassassin, spot on.
Sad – the truth is the team have only themselves to blame – initially the team were brilliant because of the possession – but they didn’t do anything with it – all the chances presented were real chances – Valencia missed a sitter – Berba too
It was harsh on Macheda – why he was tracking back I don’t know – but he shouldn’t have done
Well Ladies and Gentlemen if this is it for this season then what a ride it was
But we haven’t lost the title yet – not until it’s the last game and the last second – anything is possible but it is now truly out of our hands
I think most of us are aware that our luck ran out last minute against Bayern and has not come back at all.
You only need to look at whats happened to us since
Rooney pulls up – Bayern score
Chelsea score an offside goal that the linesman doesn’t give – he is demoted for his performance – Riley doesn’t give us a clear penalty – those were clear decisions that went against us.
Against Bayern again – Raph is betrayed by the ref with his first decision – he should have had a FK – then second time round instead of the ref clearly punishing Ribery for mouthing off – he succumbs to the Bayern players to send the kid off – game changer – 11 against 11 and Bayern would have taken a thrashing – we would have just created more chances to score from
Today – clear penalty in the first half against Berba – ref walks away – later with park the free kick outside the box – partly our fault too for not putting the chances away
Valencia misses a sitter – Berba too – as mentioned he’s missed two sitters in the place of a week
The truth about Berba is simple. He is a brilliant player with lots of flair and skill – and the more I think about it I think SAF bought him in knowing Ronaldo was going and so needed a flair player – no one would argue that signing him was the wrong decision at the time. But it hasn’t worked
Partly because he doesn’t fit into the system we play and partly because for whatever reason the confidence he had at Spurs has gone – that happens with players although most of us would rightly think that moving to United would make you better.
In his case it hasn’t – truthfully a lot of us know that we paid at least 10 million too much for him – and now it’s showing – because no one can deny he is one hell of a finisher – it’s just part unfortunate part x-file why he can’t replicate his natural talent at United
I think for that reason SAF hasn’t started him in the big matches and when presented with chances in matches he doesn’t always offer top billing – you could argue partly that’s his fault – but partly he cannot adjust into the way the team plays.
The team has evolved beyond expectation over the last four seasons and if we have lost the title it’s because of the injuries dictated most of our negative results.
And that is the truth – even a fit second line defence would have seen us through the dark days of November – December – January when our back line was non existent – and fans must accept that because our results were bad because of it
Of course not to mention the decisions that were given against us V Chelsea
All I can say to all of you is that it isn’t over – we have to believe that – but we have to be proud – we just lost our luck at the wrong time and so have to accept the consequences
But accepting the consequences doesn’t mean we have to accept that it’s over.
“With players like Hargreaves and Brown coming/recovering from injury we will have more fresh players back in the squad and next season we will be firing on all cylinders.”
isn’t it what we said at the end of last season, mate ?
moaning, moaning and moaning. i said it once i will say it again. i am proud of our away support. they’ve done everything to cheer the players up after a huge dissapointment midweek.
Criticizing is fine, but dissing and wishing harm on one of OUR players, is just disgusting. Get a grip. They all played badly except for the back three, yet some of you seem to pick on ONE player. And you guys wonder why other fans call most united fans glory hunters. >_<
Fze123
I couldnt agree more. Spot on.
“RED SAM”
Spot on mate!!!
berbatov is nothing but a moaning whore!!
can someone explain to me why in the fuck is any united fan saying fergie should go are they completly insane they are spoilt plastic CUNTS
No Rooney. No chance. I think he’ll go to Real Madrid this summer too. Why has he NOT signed a new contract with us?
Out of the league. Out of the CL. Its been a bad week.
christ you PLATIS CUNTS WE HAD A GOOD RIDE WE WON MANY TROPHYS IT IS BAD WE WONT WIN THE EAGUE BUT GET OVER YOURSELVES YOU SPOILT TWATS ANYPNE EVEN THINK FERGIE SHOULD GO ARE NOT UNITED FANS JUST GLORY HUNTING SPOILT CUNTS
@darknight, i was trying to say something along the lines you have – berba is one of those guys who wants to be loved, he’s said many times how honored he is to wear the shirt of United.
Unfortunately he’s also a confidence player and i personally feel he may listen to the haters just a little bit too much.
p.s. fletcher is my number one missing player today along with rooney. he’s so vital to our fighting spirit, i may be going out on a limb here but i honestly feel he could captain united after neville.
Nobody’s saying that other players had a good game (they most definitely didn’t), but in a game like this (when you NEED 3 points, where the ONLY striking alternative is not present), you kind of expect your 30m precious jewel moody genious striker to do the job, don’t you?
All we needed was one goal, and he could have scored if he was not too busy taking the team into a collective depression.
I’m not pro selling Berbaflop, but it’s obvious that he was a mistake (taking into account how much he cost). But even if the club was up for it, I don’t think anybody would buy him (at least not anybody of average intelligence).
I wonder what was SAF’s plan at the beginning of the season in case Rooney got seriously injured… Michael Owen?
Rooney is the best – that has got to be a sarcastic comment, you serious the fascest wont win a trophy while barca outclassed them
Wakey – agree, Scholes and Giggs didn’t work against Chelski, I was very surprised hw played then together again. Where was Carrick? I know he didn’t have a great game midweek, but these are the teams he can be effective against. Why Fletcher on the bench? We’ve got 5 games left, nothing else to play for, he should be able to manage playing in all 5 games, it’s only 1 a week now.
WHY DID WE SELL RONALDO!!!!!!!
Um… and where on earth did this £80m go?
As well, Tevez should never have been allowed to leave.
@ Sketch
Agree completely. There is a difference between pointing out a poor performance from a player and just tearing them apart.
Like I’ve said earlier, we’ve been spoilt with success, so much so that the fans expect us to win everything and when we don’t it is all doom and gloom.
Red Sam – You said where’s all the Berba lovers? Costas, KE, GHTT, There not fair whether fans mate, they support the players.
berba bashers seems to be glory hunters more often than not,,
If Chelsea have been the best team this season, winning in style, performing CONVINCINGLY, dominating teams each game, taking advantages of other team’s slip ups etc then we would have good reason to be angry and lament. But it will be actually quite funny to see such a shit team lift the trophy simply because of points they shouldn’t have gained, and because certain players were not rightly sent off for offences any Utd player would have been shown a red card for.
Why are you Berba fanboys so paranoid? The blame isn’t being put solely on your hero at all. Are we not allowed to criticise him or something?
Yes, Nani had a bad game, Valencia had a bad game. Happy now? Aren’t those players allowed the odd bad game? The difference is that disappointing games from Berbatov are the norm.
In fact, just as you guys are shocked whenever Berbatov receives even the mildest criticism for a bad performance, I’m absolutely stunned that any United fan can still be bothered to defend him after today.
“And you guys wonder why other fans call most united fans glory hunters. >_<"
yeah. just think a little bit. we have 333 mln fans around the world. how many of them are glory hunters ? i think you should visit some other blogs when the team has lost a game in such an important stage of the season. we all have our faults. no one is perfect.
we've won 3 leagues on the trot and it is still ain't good enough. there are some questions to be asked of course but we have Fergie at the helm and when he says everything is under his control we would just believe in the greatest manager that has ever lived.
I think we’re done, barring miracles.
As for Berbatov, fuck the doubters. On his back every game, regardless of how he plays, relentlessly picking fault with every touch, every shot, every assist. The man has raised his game this season, played through pain, scored vital goals, but it’ll never be enough.
So here we are at the end of the season and we’re supposed to think that this guy, who has been savaged constantly by a large section of fans, has failed us because he, like the rest of the team, fails to produce the goods in our final games. Bollocks. He’s done us proud. He’s had a good season and I’ll go to my grave believing that. People want to point fingers for why we haven’t wrapped up the league but look at the injuries, look at the referees, look at some really lacklustre performances from the players collectively on more than one occasion, look at the defence, look at the Wembley pitch crocking Owen.
When we’ve been good we’ve been amazing with this team, and Berbatov has been a big part of that, but when we’ve been bad we’ve been fucking awful, and Berbatov takes part of the blame for that, but only his fair share. A lot of things have contributed to this season being quite seriously fucked up, but Berbatov has been there for us, delivered a good haul of goals and assists, and he’s done that with knives in his back from the so called supporters and the media all the way. I have no idea how anybody could live let alone play under the pressure he has to handle without all the supporters behind him.
If we don’t win the title this season it’ll fucking suck, because it feels like we’ve had to do twice as much as any other fuckers just to get close to it. But any United fan who can look at this squad, that has won a hat trick of league titles and still might get the fourth in spite of it all, any United fan who can look at that squad and say that any player in it has not done us proud, that man can go fuck himself.
No body actually expected us to win anything this season… I mean did we win the title year cantona retired or beckham left…. So when we lose a player of cristiano’s caliber you are bound to hit a brick wall in trying to put together a wining team… But the thing is we still have hope a monumental fuck up by chelsea is highly improbable but hope is the word… Also the fact that we “might” lose the title this year only due to injuries( and lot of them) is just underlining the quality of even the current squad…
“berba bashers seems to be glory hunters more often than not,,”
Care to qualify this ridiculous statement?
for 20 years, i have never criticized not only a united player, but even the stewards on the OT pitch…but with berbatov, its a different case.. the guy has an attitude problem..he thinks he’s better than the rest of the players…the guy is all talk..he might be good to play in a 5 a side match , but not in a united jersey… to me, he’s a disgrace and a total waste….
Fred – to be honnest I could not disagree. I think it is a touchy subject even though he has not done anything since he arrived at united
look at all the glory hunters out for berba
@rooney is the best
Talk some sense mate rooney is not going anywhere.I have to say like man uniteds form from good to bad this blog is also now full of negative energy.
i dont want to name any single person but have to say some fans dont deserve to support a great club like united.
I dont know the reason y ghtt or costa left this blog but really when we need some positive supporters they are missing.
Anyway i fully believe in united and will support the team till i die..
UNITED FOREVER.
anyone who criticises berbatov are classed has glory hunters are realy just pethetic, when fans say that they know they are losing the debate.
Rooney the new king… mate, did you watch the match? what was missing?
Are you not worried that Rooney hasn’t signed a new contract? What the hell is taking so long?
RedArmy _ 7 – Berbatov is a moaning whore, thanks for that great insight.
@Fred – “I’m absolutely stunned that any United fan can still be bothered to defend him after today.”
just waiting for some points from denton. at least he tries to put some reasonable thoughts
you’ve been waiting for this moment, mate
Ok, Berbatov was not the only one played badly today, but I think his contribution to the team is not good enough, at least by his and our standard. It feels to me that Berba still does not understanding what we need at times in the game – whether it’s because Sir Alex’s instruction or not, IDK. I mean in this type of game where we dont have a real forward, he needs to take responsibility to be a front man. I could understand he dropped back a little deeper at the beginning of this game because there was Macheda up there, but later on I felt like Nani was our only front man. I’m not quite sure how he played at Spurs before and scored that many goals, but what he has been for us is poor by his standard – and I think he knows it too. I watched the commentaries on BBC Motd of the game vs Chelsea and I had to admit Alan Hansen was absolutely right about Berbatov’s lacking of movements as central forward and for that he has not been scoring many goals. He just does not trouble the opposition’s central backs often enough and it actually makes it easy for them and harder for him to get any chances (maybe… that’s why he keeps dropping deep?). I saw the stats about Berbatov that he sometimes runs a lot, but dropping deep to check back and movements are totally different -and this difference matters to ratio of goals. This post is not to criticise Berbatov but I want to remind to those who keep saying Berba’s always world class whether we lose or not: when Berba’s a world class player and for that kind of money that we paid and how patient we have been, we deserve a better contribution than that – at least for today, this game. Anyway, I do want Berba to stay with us because I believe he is a very good football player, just hope that he will change something in his game to make him a better player than who he has been with us past two years.
Sorry… I would feel MUCH more happy if Rooney would have signed a new contract. What is taking so long?
Berbatov is class. I think he just needs a run of matches. Unfortunately he is now something of a scapegoat
I feel we need to buy some quality players. Its disappointing our club cant spend any money to strengthen the team when we need to. By the way, i hate fans here saying those who dont like Berbatov are glory hunter. Please. All fans had their right to say what they want. I feel that berbatov lover is way to paranoid to think that others are blaming him. But i blame him today for his attitude. Surprising some still cant protect him today.
it’s common to read people slating berbatov here, but macheda? lol that’s new. wasn’t it just recently that people have been hailing macheda as if he was the striker to end all strikers? lol
bad game. lucky i missed most of it. watching the last few minutes still hurts though
@Gary – yes, totally agree. We have to accept that the squad this year is not good enough to repeat the achievements of the previous couple.
We definitely need additions next year. Quality players at their prime, and not just decent young ones as they would need time to develop.
Which makes me come to the point, where are all the ‘quality’ youngsters that fergie has signed? Diouf, Obertan, Fabio, Tosic etc etc – I’m scared to think that they have ended the way Manucho, Dong have
@ Corea, how is me saying with Hargo and Brown back we will be stronger next season “MOANING”? I am just looking forward mate. I don’t know about you but last season I did not think we would be firing on all cylinders this season. At the time we were a team who have lost a profilic goal scorer and brought in inexperienced players and I don’t think there were many people who were feeling confident after all the drama of summer 2009. We have come painfully close to win it this year but if the injuries and refs had a big part to play in it. I just can’t see these two factors standing in our way in the future. We will not allow it to happen to us again.
@Doghouse
Couldn’t have said better myself.
kel. I think you’re right. The team needs some investment. But even still, we need to keep the important players too. Nani’s new contract was a good step. Rooney next please.
I just worry about the money. And where it is all going.
The fans blaming Berbatov all the time when United don’t win, are probaly the same fans that blame Andy Cole for losing us the league at West Ham. Thats the fans who actually know who Andy Cole is.
rooney is not going anywhere… he’s our adopted manc……he loves united and it shows everytime he puts on the red jersey unlike that worthless bastard god father wannabe berbatov… i wouldnt even play him for the reserves..he’s that bad!!
I’ve never been negative, really,NEVER.But here goes-it’s looking bleak all right. But i’m definitely looking forward to next season, getting some new faces as well.I guess this season is transitional after all, we’ve done our bit to go this far to mounting a challenge for the title after losing our best player during the summer.just that it’s not enough,we’re ending the season poorly.it was a stubborn game against blackburn,i would put up the excuse that blackburn have been formidable at home, but still that’s not a valid enough excuse for us.and also the fact that we don’t do well after a champions league game midweek.but still that’s not a good enough excuse as we’re going for the title.didn’t create the chances, didn’t look like it was going to happen,a goal was elusive.
and somehow we don’t have the typical United pressure towards the end.usually we’d be crazy towards the end if we were losing or drawing but its hasn’t really happened this season.remember the last minute Vida goal against sunderland last season, the super comeback against spurs after going 2 goals down last season, and many more.and i’m not as excited when we get corners and set-pieces this time because we’re lacking quality in set-pieces.when was the last time we scored from a corner?or a free-kick?this season is a reality check.i’m not going to be bothered about how the fans from other teams may mock us,i really don’t care.i badly want us to win the title and i daresay that i still do believe.but i’m not deluding myself,it’s going to take a major mess-up from chelsea for that to happen.all of us would have to just enjoy the remaining 4 games for what they are and win all of them, whether or not it’s going to give us the title.that’s the position we are in, considering the fact that once you’re starting the predict how your rivals can possibly drop points, its rings the alarm bells.i wouldn’t say it’s a bad season, just a not too good one.while i’m not the sort who would press for new players,it would do great if we get some world-class ones in the summer.
it’s a long post.but i have to let it all out.Berbatov.I love the guy.i’ve never slated him and i still won’t.he’s a great talent.he’s brilliant.but really i’d rather him squeeze in goals than do all brilliant stuff.we need a striker who’s as capable in scoring in every game, especially in times when Rooney isn’t playing. While there are some who would be thinking that blaming Berbatov isn’t right (for today’s game) as we should probably blame the whole team, but this time i’m not too sure.We can blame Valencia as he’s missed a great 1v1 but i can’t oppose if we balme Berbatov. Why?cos Berba’s a striker and strikers should score.the chances created for him was sparse,i agree, but he wasn’t up to it today.so was macheda, macheda was awful.Dear Berba,i’m saying this-he hasn’t lived up to the thirty million.he hasn’t scored important goals.even our free Owen scored a crazy one against city.i’ve got mixed feelings for Berba.he’s great.i like him and his loyalty and attitude towards us.but sorry.I WANT GOALS.i still want Berba though. So Berba-JUST SCORE.from the next season onwards, okay, maybe from the next game onwards, just cut the brilliance and score.Thanks.
And we need to replace Giggs,Scholes and Neville. We need world-class replacements for them.please now, don’t get me wrong.the service these 3 have provided us has been brilliant over the years and it still is now.Well, who knows,Giggsy may score the goal that wins us the league this year.you still never know.but it is a fact that we have to replace them because they can’t possibly play week in week out, and that too, effectively.
but really i would take Arsenal winning the league than Chelsea.Any time.i hate chelsea to the core and it would make me bleed profusely if they were to do the double.but that would mean us going 3rd.and P.S:3rd place doesn’t have to qualify for Champions league.but still i’m not even thinking of going down to 3rd.sigh.what has our season come to.i hate this.
I’ve lowered my expectations for the remaining of the season.I STILL BELIEVE.
Glory Glory Man United.
I’ve read this today and completely understand why Costas and GHTT amongst others have gone.. some of you guys need to speak to Real United fans.
Sorry Scott, this has got stupid. I’m done.
Can someone please tell me, exactly what did the midfield create today. Shouldn’t we be talking about the unwise inclusion of Giggsy and Scholesy in midfield instead?
Sigh… some of you are very very naive.
Rooney has gone to the press asking for a new contract. When he turns up to the England camp he is 8th or 9th best paid. Sorry but Wayne Rooney must be the best player in the England side. We MUST pay him what he is worth.
Ronaldo was world player of the year and DIDNT get a new contract. And left.
Tevez was ‘overpriced’.
If Rooney is not given a new contract with Manchester United paying him what he is worth I think he will get that contract elsewhere.
How can you people moan about not winning the league?
The fact that we still have a chance to finish first is fucking unbelievable.
Second/third place is a bloody good result considering we’ve played without a fucking defence for parts of the season. And we still have the best defensive record in the league. It’s ridiculous, really.
And for all of you Berba haters. We’re not called ‘Manchester United feat. Berbatov’, we’re Manchester United. We fucking stand together, good times or bad, no difference!
We are the champions of England, Europe and the World, regardless of what the league tables tell you.
We’ll never die
@musvn
“It feels to me that Berba still does not understanding what we need at times in the game”
i see it the other way around. just watch the first half carefully and you will see that he is being the player no one seems to understand. i said it last season and will reiterate it now. Fergie still isn’t sure how to use him. if he can’t give him the benefit of a doubt or figure out how to use him best then yes. your dream is going to be real.
Fred – I agree he was poor today mate, but every fucking time we don’t win a match it’s his fault. What about Valencia missing a great chance in the first half.
A major reason that we’ve lost the league is because after Champions League matches we’ve dropped wayyyyyyyy too many points…i think the commentator today said 5 out of 7 matches we lost were after European games…thats just not on !
oh yes and can someone fill me in about GHTT,Costas and the usual ones being gone? i was too depressed over the champions league exit that i hadn’t posted since then.
@Rooney is the best
Sadly the club had not much money to spend as mention in unitedrant site. Fergie intend to buy promising youngster. Lets wait and see this summer who we are going to buy.
Spot on. The attitude. I thought Manchester United was more than football, it’s the “we’ll never die” spirit which materializes itself on memorable occasions such as May 26th 1999.
Berbaflop has no Manchester United attitude. He has to, not only raise his game, but also raise his head up high because he stands for a century+ tradition of winners and, more importantly, the never-givers-up.
@Fze123 – sorry mate. i began a new line with “moaning” part. it wasn’t directed at you. sorry for making you misunderstand, mate.
“Rooney is the best says:
Berbatov is class. I think he just needs a run of matches. Unfortunately he is now something of a scapegoat”
man r u insane!! he just needs a run of matches???with rooney injured, this was the perfect opportunity for him to prove his worth but he fucked up big time!! if he’s class, then i bet in ur eyes manucho is a legend…. what the hell r u thinking man…
fred
Yes you are my prove.. here we have a guy [Fred]
who was bashing Carrick a forthnight ago because we lost against Bayern..
Fred says:
Well his form has been pretty shite all season[Carrick].
I think Fergie feels more like to putting him[Carrick] out to pasture!
when playing chess, Carrick probably dithers for half an hour then meekly asks your permission to make his move.
Today berbatov is your scapegoat.. I doubt that you are a real united fan really..
Agree with RTNK, some fans have been far too spoilt. We have won a heap amount of trophies in the past few seasons. Even if we do end up with just one this season then the world will not spin off it’s fucking axis, so calm the fuck down!
People are unfairly blaming Berbatov.
Why does he have to drop so deep ?
There is no attacking solution to a midfield problem. This midfield is not creating any service. He wouldn’t be running around the midfield every single game if Ferguson didn’t wan’t him to or if the midfield would create something.
It’s tough luck, but we really need Hargo and Anderson back. Scholes and Giggs can’t play all the matches and Carrick has been shite. And if Hargo, Anderson, Fletcher and Carrick can’t do the job, we need to buy some talent.
“The man has raised his game this season, played through pain, scored vital goals, but it’ll never be enough.”
This has to be the most ludicrous assessment of Berbatov’s season ever. When were these vital goals?
“When we’ve been good we’ve been amazing with this team, and Berbatov has been a big part of that”
Ah, our best performances of the season. You mean like the brilliant wins against Arsenal and Milan, the 3-1 semi-final win over City and the first twenty minutes at home to Bayern. Or even the 4-goal wins away to West Ham and Portsmouth. None of which Berbatov played any part in.
“Berbatov has been there for us, delivered a good haul of goals and assists”
12 goals is not terrible, but for a £31m striker? 6 assists puts Berba 22nd overall in the assists table.
Edit – first 40 minutes against Bayern I should really have said.
Fred
All true.
BerbaGod, thankyou for reminding everyone what I said about Carrick. I was right again, wasn’t I?
Oh I get it now, it`
I don’t expect any favours from Spurs on Wednesday against Arsenal, they are struggling against a team thats already been relagated.
Fze123 – spoilt is being to kind to these bastards, they have been given more than they deserve, yes fergie has made mistakes but in return he has delivered trophy after trophy making up for these mistakes. its been another great run between 2006 and present the only thing that has done us in is the striker situationa dn injurys at the back have been to much for united to over come but hey look at arsenal what have they done.
We just don’t have players who boss the midfield currently. Really think we’ve missed out on Sneijder. Can’t blame Fergie though. Not his fault that Carrick has no bollocks to up his game.
BTW “Today berbatov is your scapegoat.. I doubt that you are a real united fan really..”
You consider Dimitar Berbatov a God. I doubt that you have a brain, mate.
Seriously, we have done well to be in this position. Could’ve done better, but after everything that has happened we should look back on some glorious events; Rooney becoming a monster of a player, the revival of Nani, Gibson’s belters, proving that we can still play football without Ronaldo ffs, knocking the bitters out in the CC. coping with the absence of the defence for a good whole month, etc. Plenty of memories. Not trying to gloss over our loss today with this cheerfullness but we gave it a pretty good shot. I still hope Chelsea massively fuck it up but as much as I would love that it’s not likely to happen at this stage.
what happened to the usual guys like GHTT and costas?what’s this boycotting i hear about?
http://www.tribalfootball.com/fabio-leave-man-utd-sporting-loan-762631
looks like Fabio wants to play games. i think Fergie should give him chances next season.
@hurr – fuck Sneijder. Diver cunt. fuck Robben. fuck Benzema.
Jay – they have left ROM
@Jay – they became fed up with all this negative side and i opted not to visit the blog for a while.
thank you ‘certain’ players for all of your hard work, although you’ll probably will not wear United’s red again next season, we thank you deep from our heart for your ‘not so much contribution’ in these past few seasons… good luck wherever you are, although you may not get hundred thousands pounds per week, but fifty hundred pounds might not be so bad eh? hmm, when should we throw you a farewell party??? =)
@ Fze123
Spot on mate, spot on.
@Corea: you maybe right about Sir Alex. I now starting to think whether Sir Alex had overweighted Berba when we’re buying him. Maybe that’s why Sir Alex has been hesitated going to transfer window this past two years?
rooney the new king-i hadn’t posted after the champions league exit, was too depressed to do so.fill me in.these guys were the ones who really made sensible fans like a real United Fan.why in the world did they leave
Corea – agreed there, dont benzama look 10 pounds overweight
@Corea
What does his ability got to do with his diving tendencies?
It will take a miracle for us to win the league now especially now the dippers have drawn, we all said at the start of the year that the goals need to be shared around the team and quite frankly they haven’t. If chelski win their next 2 games let Berbatov have his knee surgery. We should play Hargreaves and give the youngsters a chance. Macheda started today and did nothing but not going to hold that against him.
I wouldn’t blame them. Some ‘fans’ here go on like as if they were paid to support the club.one season without the league isn’t disaster.but it hurts because we’re winners.and i HATE superficial fans who talk rubbish like Sir Alex has to leave.
Jay – because fans were coming on saying fergie should go and giggs scholes neville are past it and many were calling berbatov berbaflop etc,
There should be a rule that scholes and giggs should never play together….
Bad performance from the team, there was no creativity flair in the attacking…
Too much flicks goes wasted and we lose too much of the ball in the final third.
Ewood park seems to be a fortress for blackburn.
We should have started strong. what is wrong with us, we keep on starting slow and panic when we are not winning….
@Jake – hi mate. just make sure you post here more often. missed you so much.
Or;
Nevilles last ditch tackle at the end when Blackburn had a chance to score means that this one point might come very handy in the end.
Who are we to know?
Chin up you lot – I hope Costas GHTT and King Eric are reading – it is disrespectful what some fans have done on here – and all those idiots asking SAF to get sacked should fuck off
Debate Berba all we like – fair enough – but SAF has given us a hell of a ride again from those dark days in 2006 and here we are still in it – come on Bolton we need you : )
NotoriousRedDevil – but the striker situation has come home to roost, well I hope this mexican forward steps up yes he has potiental but he is 21 so he should be close to be in the first team
@ NotoriousRedDevil, to be honest the midfield did contribute with goals this season. Better than the previous seasons when Ronaldo was the only consistent goal scorer from there. Scholes, Gibson, Fletcher all scored a few this season.
April 11, 2010 at 16:37
Fze123 says:
“Can someone please tell me, exactly what did the midfield create today. Shouldn’t we be talking about the unwise inclusion of Giggsy and Scholesy in midfield instead?”
Of course we should. I mentioned it an hour ago! I love them to bits, they are unquestionably absolute LEGENDS but nothing lasts forever and I’m afraid they are finished at this level. I didn’t like their inclusion against Chelsea and was proved right but I honestly thought they would be able to cut it against the more modest opposition of Blackburn Rovers. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case.
My sources indicate that we will sign a midfielder this summer and hopefully Hargreaves will be able to play a part next season too. It’s seriously time to phase out the old guard.
MG – 2006 was an awesome year we played great football that year we won the carling cup and the likes of ronaldo rooney saha were playing great and scholes giggs were on top of their game
@hurr – his ability plays for Inter Milan.
@Fze123 – positive signes are there to be seen of course. Chelsea have an ageing squad. Arsenal not sure. I believe we will get better next season but losing at a stage like 1/4 in the CL made us lose some money and i am not sure we have the money to buy already made players.
I always opted for the right mixture of young and senior players. let’s hope Fergie works his magic just like 06-07 season.
But right now we must support the players till the end.
@corea: I think we just have to open our arms up for him if he chooses us again. I do feel like Benzema betrays us and it proves so far his decision has been wrong. Now, if chance comes again, I think we should snap him – of course for less money – and Sir Alex will work his magic again
RTNK,
ahh wonderful memories…..
Corea- But right now we must support the players till the end.
you said it all.
Giggs, Rio and O’shea picked up injuries to compound our rotten mood.
why are some of us so obsessed with Benzema?
stale, that is all
In terms of league goals our midfield haven’t scored 20 between them. Thats what I was referring to. Valencia hasn’t scored since December, Nani since August, shouldn’t expect Scholes and Giggs to score all the big ones. They have done time and time again. OG hasn’t helped some of them should have been our goals but not sure which ones are which. Valencia should have buried that chance 1st half that was a sitter. Have to beat shitty next week regardless of where we are in the league that is a game that is always must win.
Can someone please lay out Terry, i would hate to see that lousy bastard lift the premiership trophy.
@musvn – i actually think he is a talented player. i liked us to sign him but right now i want us to concentrate on players who wnat to play for the club in the first place. he made his choice but i am not Fergie. if he make this decision i will support the player.
@rooney the new king
Sorry I meant to say the first bit of that season – when we got knocked out of the CL and all that – I do agree that we played brilliant football in the second half of the season which was a pre-marker to what has come on since
Thats why when we look back we have been blessed with not having so many injuries – although that’s come to bite us back this season
Yes Arsenal have had injuries and so have Chelsea – but never at one time like we did with out defenders – not even Barca would have ever coped without a first and second choice backline
Still let’s hope then that this was a point earned than two lost although that is so hard to accept right now
Fingers crossed
I’ve never been in either the Berba-bashing or the Berba-loving camp up till now, but I’ve had it with him. Always trying pretty little flicks when the simple pass will do, dropping deeper as the game goes on, shirking his responsibilities as the lone striker, berating team mates at every opportunity…… I’ve just had enough of it, he isn’t a big game player, can’t be relied on to up his game when we need him to, and he has no fucking right to be berating Nani, Valencia and Kiko like that when he can’t deliver the goods himself. Spurs love buying back their old players, let’s just sell him and Carrick to Spurs, maybe we can get Modric in exchange.
I’m sure saf feels let down by some players, because he talked about phasing out Giggsy, Scholesy and Red Nev a few years ago, but some of our younger players have yet to step up to the plate.
We need xavi. LOL
Fergie
“The players committed themselves really well today, they put a great effort in. We were a bit unlucky with Rio Ferdinand’s injury with 10 minutes to go.
“That was down to 10 men really.”
Just isn’t our year i am afraid.
I know that we’ve won lots of trophies in the past years but it’s still frustrating to miss the chance of winning the EPL 4th time in a row
you don’t get a chance to win it like that very often.
I don’t really blame Berbatov for his performance today but I blame him for the 30 f-ing millions!! @@
Anyway, I’m a type of a fan who believes in miracles and I still didn’t give up!
@LoveUnited “There should be a rule that scholes and giggs should never play together….”
Exactly, mate. Been saying it for the past two seasons. Add Neville and Berbatov and it’s a recipe for defeat.
@ Corea
I have never commented on here before.
I’ll change my username to JakeManc then, if Jake’s taken by a regular.
Berbatov – The FInal Straw!
After giving Berbatov chance after chance to prove himself i have now have lost patience! Countless times this season i have been telling mates to give him time, Last season he was played out of position, he now should have settled and this season we will see the real berbatov! Well i have seen the real berbatov and im not impressed at all!
no one can dispute his technical ability… but
What i dislike about Berbatov
Goal Threat is poor!
His positional Play is Poor.. Too often when upfront his own he is still roaming all over the pitch! Great moment in the match today when he Jinked past a couple of players and played a neat 1-1 with John Oshea… Trouble was it was on the half way line …. Who was upfront.. No one!
He is rarely on the same Planet never mind wave length as our players. How often can passes go astrey or Through balls to no one and then blaim others for not making the run… Christ!
Shooting – I would have to say his shooting is Shit
Heading – Supposed to be a good header of the ball but i fail to see it
I have everything crossed that Fergie kicks him out this summer, Offload him for 10 mil or what ever we could get for him. He will never fit into our team, He will never produce what i want from a striker at my club.
I honestly even feel we wouldnt have to spend a fortune to replace him, Macheda, Diuf and owen will all do beter than Berbashite. Although in recent matches i think Emile Hesky could have been more threatening infront of Goal.
@ Fred, did you really mention it an hour ago? I thought you were too busy slagging off some shit striker who plays for us.
Just why was Fletcher on the bench? He doesn’t hesitate going forward and may have bettered our attacking threat today. Giggs and Scholesy are able to cut it against sides like Blackburn but not when playing together in midfield. We needed some young legs to do the running in the middle. If either of them will start then it must be either in a packed midifeld, i.e 4-5-1 or playing with either Carrick or Gibson.
@ Corea, I agree. I find it quite funny that the media were saying we need to rebuild in the summer. Hilarious, when you think that the Chelsea players are close to retirement and Ancelotti will need tp achieve the impossible… Persuade young talents to come to Chelsea. They have the FA to thank for being currently top of the league. Arsenal on the other hand, well what can I say, plenty of talent but zero gut. We will go into next season superior if we do not sell a player of our own in the summer.
“I don’t really blame Berbatov for his performance today but I blame him for the 30 f-ing millions!! @@”
Actually, it should be the other way around. It’s not Berbatov’s fault the club were held to ransom over his transfer fee. Spurs drive a hard bargain, while we, well we’re the club that payed around £20m apiece for Owen Hargreaves and Anderson.
@Fze123 – sell players ?
players who ?
We will stay put, my friend. Hope with some more aditions to the squad and some more luck. as you rightfully mentioned positive signes are there to be seen!
Fze123, you’ve got no right to call Berbatov “shit.” I’m so outraged I’m leaving this site and never coming back. I’ll start my own blog “THE REPUBLIK OF BERBATOV” just for my fellow Berbamaniacs.
BERBAMANIA IS RUNNIN’ WILD, BROTHA!
I love our golden legends to bit, neville, giggs and scholes. But starting them against blackburn who have a pretty good defensive record at home is big mistake.
@ Fred, i’ve been saying that a long time now. These two does give that bit of experience but only one is needed, not 2 and definitely not 3.
Today’s game lack creativity, the boys aren’t sure what to do in the final third, and end up losing the ball.
with lots of rubbish going on in this forum,i’d just stick to reading as well.i’m no star poster like GHTT or costas but trying to refute the fake fans here is getting irritating
@Fred – seriously mate. how can you blame Berbatov-the striker when he has limited half-opporutinities ? he IS a STRIKER. please, give us some clues when he didn’t convert chances for us ? just look at a wider picture
its ANNOYING.stop the berbashite people
Todays Match & Premiership Title Challange.
Simple truth of our Premiership Challange is that we have not been good enough!
Too often we have struggled against teams, We havent created the Chances or looked as Threatening as in previous seasons. I know most are going to highlight not replacing ronaldo but i think Valencia and the emergance of Nani has replaced Ronaldo.. Berbatovs Failure has alot to Account for us not wining the league. He has underperformed time and time again and at this level you cant carry anyone!…
What does next year bring?…. Next year for me i have no idea on what is going to happen…
We will see a better nani.
Valencia will have settled and improve
Gibson, Anderson & Macheda Desilva need to step up and become regulars
Hargreaves??? Will he ever play again?
Vidic – Will he be at the club?
Ferdinand – Will he put his injury trouble season behind him or turn into a sicknote?
Decline in Giggs, Scholes and Nev… Will we have enough quality tallent to replace them?.. That is the big question!
Vandersar………… Will he still produce the goods next season, He has been fantastic dont get me wrong, but there will be a time when he will struggle and is Foster and Kusack capable of taking the reigns?
What sumer signings will we make?…….. This is a big one! I think we do certainly need a quality central midfielder capable of taking over scholes role.. Is anderson or gibson capable i dont know.. Stiker.. I know we have just purchased a new striker,
@Jay – thanks mate. leave me alone with some fze123, willierednut and others. sure it will help make us UNITED blog.
Having looked through some of the comments, it’s seems like a lot of the fans here are a little bit younger than the minority of others?
We are 2nd in the league, safely in the top 3. We’ve won 3 leagues in a row and have been in 2 straight European Cup finals, winning one. This is not a disaster. I’m sure the doom-mongerers are the younger fans and I hope you all don’t take this gloomy attitude to OT because the players have always been supported by the fans there with all the heart whether we were winning leagues in the early 90′s or watching Liverpool plunder everything in the 70′s and 80′s.
I saw someone refer to Andy Cole v West Ham and say the same people criticising him will be the ones criticising Berbatov now; that is a totally incorrect analogy. Berbatov has consistently not performed when we have needed him to. People knocked Cole for missing chances in that one game, but his overall record at United can’t be argued with. Berbatov’s can. He has performed when we have been comfortable in games and has had the odd game, like the recent Fulham match, where he showed his quality. But after two seasons, he is not delivering enough to be a United player.
I also don’t understand where all the calls to buy a world class striker have come from. We have never been a club to spend £40m on a player in his prime regularly. We bought Rio who was always going to be an assured success. Rooney: ditto. We put a lot of money on the line for Veron and he performed well in Europe but didn’t quite cut it in the league for us. Berbatov: error. But our greatest success has come from investing in young players. Even Rio and Rooney were young when we bought them. But also look at the acquisitions of Stam (26), Solskjaer (23), Vidic (25), Ronaldo (what, 9?!), da Silva twins (7?!)…. We buy players who aren’t necessarily world beaters already. The signing of Hernandez is pure United. And we have Macheda developing. There is no panic.
How we have got to this stage having had our defence totally decimated during this season is an achievement in itself. The team has done the club proud this year and players like Evra, Nani, Valencia, Rooney and Giggs have been consistently absolutely outstanding.
The season isn’t over yet and we could still do it. Points have been dropped by the big boys at all stages of this season and there will undoubtedly be an unlikely twist. So let’s keep faith for now and then look on to next season when we will claim title 19.
@Jay
Hehe, “star poster”. They’re just two guys with an internet connection, man:)
@ Rooney is the best
A lot of players don’t sign contracts until the off-season. Because they’re too focused on playing. Would you rather Rooney get distracted? Don’t let your head get filled with the media nonsense about disloyal players. Rooney will sign a contract when he is ready. He will not leave this club and it’s an insult from you to him to suggest he is “stalling” as the media like to put it.
@ Corea, I have a feeling we will sell. I just hope it’s anyone but Vidic or Berbatov. I am serious about Berbatov. I know, I know, but I feel we will be left to rue selling him if that happens. I value his contributions to the team. End of.
@ Fred, there is still some space left in the Anti-Berbatov bandwagon, you’ll have to squeeze yourself in though.
@Fred & Corea.
I now have lost faith in berbatov, although he is a tellented footballer what he produces for our club is not good enough.
Yes he has silky skills but he is really really unefective.
He might have had half chances but that could be to blame for his very poor positional play. Some of the positions he takes on the pitch is laughable… I know rooney likes to roam from time to time but i have seen berbatov on the wing, play it back to the full back and just stop and walk into the box. Im screaming at him.. Move your arse and get into the box!
I cant defend berbatov anymore, He just doesnt suit our style of play and maybe he just isnt good enough!
Maybe he just cant handle the presure of playing for a club like ours and will only ever shine for a mid table club!
colbert-haha.but i’d like to call them star posters cos they give good sensible comments.not like the ones who go on like it’s hell broken loose when we draw games like as if we’ve paid them to support us
all this talk about people not supporting Berbatov not being real united fans is rubbish !!! Being a united fan doesnt mean being blind and accepting everything ! Though i’m not one of them personally I can understand those people who support him because they like what they see, but supporting him just because he is a united player is short sighted..if you’re on 70/80k a week then expect your performances to be criticised if they’ve not been up to scratch
Can anyone honestly say that Berbatov’s performances over the past 2 years have been what they expected when we signed him 2 years ago?
MG – I think united played well throughout 2006, yes the first part had some rough moments but the football throughout 2006 was top class. now 2009 to present has been the total opposite. we played poorly at the start of 2009 and it has continued on wards actually it started at Aug 2008 where the football was bad and its been like that from Aug 2008 to present where we never really hit the heavy football heights of the previous 2 years. and our misery of a weird season all started when we were outclassed against Barcelona in may 2009 and from there its gone from bad to total shit storm.
I have been a critic of berbatov but christ this is getting boring but I will still post, what about valencia who should have scored did anyone forget that well the regulers on here wont be here anytime soon
@Jay
Fair enough:)
How stupid of me, Fred is already on it. That Bandwagon is heading to the fantasized world of the Villas, Benzemas and Silvas.
off topic guys. Martin O’Neill talked about referees poor decisions.
“The referee bottled it against Manchester United and we have had the same today.”

No! Wait! Guys! What about his silky touch? What about all those vital goals he’s scored this season? You’re wrong! He’s done us proud and if you don’t agree you “can go fuck yourself” according to Doghouse.
@CaerdyddCoch
I think your spot on, Any Cole did miss a hatful that day but all strikers do have them. Cole was a tryer and you always seen him get into positions and give defences hard times.
With berbatov i just fail to see what he offers us> Yes he has skills and technical ability but where it counts is lacking.
I just havent seen him causing defences problems enough. I jsut havent seen him being a good enough goal threat. I just havent seen matches where he was our most creative player.
@ Fred
In the last two games, Berbatov has missed chances that his “talents” are supposed to make him good at eating up: the volley against Bayern and the shot near the pen spot today. They were difficult chances that required special technique, but the praise of Berbatov is that he is good at just these things. Why didn’t he even force he keeper into a good save in either instance? He is supposed to bring “something different”, but that something was meant to be the ability to convert chances like those.
I think those two chances have summed him up and have summed up the reason he has to go. He’s not good enough for this club.
And that is forgetting his terrible movement and lack of effort to exploit the sorts of spaces that Macheda was creating today with his movement.
@jay what gives you the right to call anyone a fake fan?
trevor – fred is being sarcastic he is a big critic of berbatov, he is just patronizing the fans who are fans of berbatov who will back him when he is having a tough time. I am not his biggest fans but I will try and avoid this debat since many others are doing it but the team has suffered so many probems its been worser than a PC infected with a virus with no firewall when that happens the shit hits the fan
Building the team? Well, the media just trying to sell the paper do they? I read some articles but those are just rubbishes. Maybe a backup keeper for van der Sar but we’re not even in hurry for that unless Ben or Tomasz wants to go. I think Micky will come to life again next season plus Rooney and we’ll have 2 prolific goal poachers. Berbatov, Diouf, Welbeck, Macheda and Chicharito will be good enough for the rest of the games. I really want Benzema comes into this equation but that just means either Welbeck or Macheda has to go on loan and I dont want to see that. In midfield, Hargreaves and Ando are going to be back to refresh our line up. I have a good feeling that Ando will be making a big step up next season. Hopefully Gibson will get better at his artillery skills too
. Defence doesn’t come to my mind as a worry. Lastly, I would like to see Ben and Tomasz make their impacts because it’ll be their last chances.
@Fred
I have given Berbatov enough time to produce the goods, he hasnt! I cant see him producing what i want from a striker at my club!
I have defended and defended him and kept telling people that a great performance is round the corner. I just dont think he has it in him!
He has scored a few goals this season, Too many where tap ins! I can only remember one goal which i was impressed with, it was a volley cant remember the team it was against!
What i do remember is too many games berbatov has went missing! Too many games where he didnt look like doing anything. Too many games where he spent most of it in areas of the pitch where he caused no trouble. Too many games where berbatov didnt come close to scoring!
@ Schmuck, fair play to O’neill for having guts to speak out about that. If only his pub team had the same guts and showed some fight against the rents this season.
@ trevor
Totally agree. We will all marvel, rightfully so, at him bringing a 40-yard ball down from 60 miles in the air. But to be a United player, you need to have more of an effect. In this way, he reminds me of Ronaldo when he first came. Delightful skills, but no “end-product”. Difference was Ronaldo was raw talent and had his whole career to learn to deliver that “end-product”. And he did it pretty much the following season. Berbatov, on the other hand, is meant to be at his peak.
Fze123 – benzema is poor. he looks fat he lacks drive pace power an dtheaility to get into positions to score the goals and h eis incredily lazy.
All of you picking on Berba ….. Why do you need a scapegoat? Why can’t you accept the truth?
Football’s a team game and we haven’t proved to be the best team this year. That’s the truth and the end of the story.
Get over it and stop whinning about individual players who you want to say “We’d be CL and Premier Champions …. if not for”
After you watch football a bit longer you’ll realize how much rubbish it is to look at any one individual’s performance in any given game and put our season down to that. (Much like Macheda v. Villa last year on the positive side.)
Fact is, we’re an unbeliveably succeesful club in the last 20+ years and any of you who think that coming 2nd in the league, out of the C.L. on away goals (and a soft sending off) in the quarter finals and Carling Cup winners is a “disaster” need to find a different sport.
I’ve watched United in the second division after watching us win our first European Cup and when I read some of the whinning on this site I can only say ….. GROW UP YOU PRATS.
@rooney the new king
LOL .. im a bit slow on the uptake.
Ive defended berbatov all season, well for the past 2. It nearly is the end of our season and i am sure fergie will have came to a conclusion as well!
how about the fake ones who call for Sir Alex to leave?absolute rubbish.a man who’s filled our trophy cabinet.so if i don’t have the right to call a fan fake, then similarly no fan should call Berba berbashite or anything of that sort.there you go.
it’s crazy, all the stupid comments.i can understand the departure of our regulars from this blog
@ Dave Mack.
Spot on. This is no disaster at all.
Didn’t someone post a message the other day about how Berbatov does not deserve to be spoken about in the same sentence as Andy Cole? Their argument was a bit OTT but I thought it was worth mentioning in light of you guys bringing up Andy Cole.
@Fze123, all the more room for us on the pro-Berba bandwagon, eh? The man is a God, pure and simple. His performance today proved that beyond doubt. And don’t talk to me about your Villas, Silvas and Benzemas. Those nobodies aren’t fit to lace Berba’s boots.
Berba will fire us to the Quadruple next year. YHIHF.
Fze123 – I will say again, benzema is poor. he looks fat about 10 pounds overweight, he lacks drive, he lacks pace and power and the ability to get into positions to score the goals and he is incredibly lazy player. we were lucky he did not come or we would be nicknaming him bumzema which means a lazy bum
@Dave Mack
Berbatov has had enough time and chances to win me over in 2 years, He has failed! I hope i end up eating my words but i just dont think he is good enough!
@ Jay
Though it’s total and utter nonsense, fans have the right to say “Fergie out” if they want. Doesn’t mean they’re “fake”.
Berbatov has not delivered. It is as simple as that. naturally there will be fans who slate him.
I for one has almost lose all of my patience with berbatov. I have supported him, but today he should have stepped up. Today’s draw was not his fault alone, there was no chemistry among the players today, all the unnecessary flick have gone wasted!
I mean do we really need to do it every freakin time?
We are exactly in the position of liverpool last season, hoping the leaders to drop points.
I know we have won 3 straight titles and trophies, but we are not like the dippers who laments on their past history. This is NOW!
I am expecting the players to give it their all in these last 4 games!
@Dave Mack – thanks sir.
the problem is not berbatov it’s the system we now play;
he is not suited as a lone striker, and he has not had enough of a run to do well on the few occasions we play 4-4-2;
and when we do the problem is in midfield,:where giggs and scholes are not sufficient to dominate play in the middle as well as create opportunities for the front,
AND nani on the left will always prefer to cut in, further compressing space in the middle, while Park doesn’t have enough to play as winger or inside left.
@ RTNK, I know mate. What did he offer yesterday when he came on for Real Madrid? Nada. Plus he rejected the chance to join us, so in simple words he can warm or fuck the bench in Spain for all I care.
Trevor, mate – I was lampooning the ridiculous words of “Doghouse.” I’m not really one of those Berbatov-worshippers.
Well lads…just got in…back from the game.
I dont want to go on about whats happened this season and what happened today….and im not going to go ott with being crtitical before people on virtual world start having hissy fits.
But as a match going fan….some things were blatantly clear.
I dont know if we never sufficiently replaced what we lost in the summer
I dont know how much the lack of depth or injuries has cost us
I dont know how much wazza has papered over the cracks that are now exposing themselves
I dont know how average we ve been this season..as you cant legislate 7 defeats
I dont know if our midfields average
I dont know if our attack lacks a player or 2.
I DONT KNOW.
I can only comment on what i see games i go to watch my beloved utd and today:-
1. Our midfield looked average and legless
2. Our attack looked toothless and had no bite…and created diddly squat..it was all huff and puff..stuff rovers could handle all day long.
ONE THING THOUGH I HAVE TO SAY
Im going to jump on Berbatov now. In the beginning i thought it was a big mistake signing him because I thought for the fee he was too old. He wasn’t climbing on board a ship lacking in quality and experience unlike Eric Cantona, who many try and explain the signing as being a little like. Without doubt Berbatov has skill and some great touches but sometimes results have to be drawn out. Berbatov offers a great deal to a club BUT at the moment this club isn’t helping him much and he doesn’t appear to be helping United much. Its all very weel defending his nice touches and proclaiming him the thinking mans footballer, a new Eric Cantona BUT Cantona had another side to his game, a turn of pace and I couldn’t even begin to remember how many games he won for us with an important goal to give us a 1-0 win. That edge doesn’t seem to be with our Bulgarian friend. Agreed the strike partners hes been put with do not suit him and that is what I mean by the club not helping him. If you play him with Rooney then they both come deep to get the ball and hold it up well and there often isn’t anyone pushed right up to reach with an exquisate pass, like Berba has done this season. When playing with Owen, I thought it looked good but it was only tried 3 times. Today unfortunately Macheda showed that he is along way away from being classed as a United No10 and was absolutely no use for Berbatov. So Berbatovs days are numbered unless we sign a world class centre forward, a Villa or maybe Hernandez fits that bill but that does mean Rooney will play less games if another partnership is being tried out. Saying that maybe thats not a bad thing, Rooney does have the odd period of looking tired. League football, cup football, european football and international football is alot to ask of Rooney as he is expected to appear in everything.
To summarise theres two options available, 1 Sell Berbatov and start again from scratch or 2. sign a world class striker who plays higher up the pitch and rotate the three of them relying on Rooney alone with three wingers behind him or the orthodox 4-4-2 with Berbatov playing off the striker.
@Dave Mack
I do think that some of our younger fans dont know what it was like supporting an underachiving club!
I remember being at school in the 80s when we hadnt won the league in 20odd years, Liverpool and Arsenal where winning and winning. We had a FA CUp in 1985 and i visited wembley to watch the super Remi Moses & Robson.
Got excited when Fergie teamed up Neil WEbb & Robson in midfield for their first season until Webbs injury put an end to that dream.
Remember coming 2nd to leeds and thinking it wasnt going to happen in my lifetime.
THe last 20 years have been a dream for any United Player. WE all should respect that we cant win the league or Trophies every season.
Man – – - – - Does anyone have any positives? Anyone???
@suhayl
Accurate Reflection on the match..
@suhayl – i don’t care. you all were brilliant today, speaking the love for this club, supporting the club like it was a fucking home game. i am really proud of you.
trevor – what the hell I wll jump into this debat of berbatov. I will say it is a delicate subject with berbatov on here, many do like berbatov has a player because he is so damn technically gifted but what he lacks that cantona had which many compare him with. cantona would get the ball say about 20 yards from goal and he would look to drive at defense’s and he was box to box where one minute cantona was coming deep and he would link play, and look for others to play him in where he would get in the box and score.
now berbatovs main problem well 2, berbatov came to united where we were playing 2 upfront in Rooney and tevez and a floater behind the main 2 in ronaldo who was the drive in the team and it helped rooney and tevez were so hard tough tackling players they would stretch defences which helped ronaldo to get space. now berbatov would come in because united played 2 upfront, the problem is united play 2 wide players supporting striker which berbatov does not fit in.
berbatovs second problem is which is about berbatov himself is he lacks that drive that puts defenses on the back foot, all the top class forwards have it they have that pace that unpredictable movement that makes them potent forces, berbatov for how his own preference prefers to go deep and get the ball but he does not do what forwards do get into the box enough with that drive to be on the end of things thats the problem with berbatov has which makes his goals conversion low on numbers.
@Fze123 – hmmm, Benzema created nothing against the best team in the world, Barcelona? And what did Berbatov create today against the mighty Blackburn Rovers?
Thankfully Fergie still rates Benzema and if he becomes available to us this summer we will be enjoying a dream partnership of Rooney & Benzema up front next season, ripping everyone from Blackburn to Chelsea to shreds.
@ Tony Starks
We’re not in Liverpool’s position
i’m sorry but i still think fans who call for ‘Fergie out’ are fake.because that is the most nonsensical statement in the footballing history.utter rubbish.any other statement would be personal opinion i agree.but calling for Sir Alex to be out is pure stupidity.i’m banging the table and saying that no United fan would say this.
but we have had a nice run winning 3 in a row
Time to concede the fact.We are a one man team.
@ suhayl
Read somewhere that some of our fans were booing at the end of the game?
I thought it was brilliant, singing till the end.
CaerdyddCoch lol
@ Fred
Good point; very well made. Benzema would be a great acquisition at his age as well. But Ferguson will not pay the crazy prices that the current market dictates. Hopefully we can use the fact that we sold them our crown jewel as a bargaining tool.
ONE THING I HAVE TO SAY..EVEN SAF ADMITTED IT , heard it on the radio on way home from game.
1. no carrick on bench even
2. ” we looked toothless and didnt create much and dint do anything in final 3rd”
Thats sir slex saying it…after he said similar things in his press conference on fri.
On and off camera i kept watching berba ( i am no berba lover nor am i a hater ). He’s a very articulate nice modest mellow kind man…great technical ability, touch, control etc.
But today with my fellow matchgoing utd fans…fans whove supported the cclub home and away for 30/40/50 years…..believe me theyve even had enough…..
Im not going into the ins and outs…im only commenting on what i saw with my own eyes all game on and off camera
too slow
scratching head
pounding ground x 5 times
hands on hips
complaing moaning
too slow tempo to release ball
attitude and petulance you see from drog..
Believe he was getting huge abuse from hardcore utds fans ive been going matchdays with for years..
i was shocked….but i have to say..when berba did something…ive never seen so much finger pointing and berating and complaining from utd players…time and again scholes o’shea etc all having a pop…
has left a bitter taste for me and a long drive home
Family were happy though…as all off em are rovers season ticket holders
@Fred
I was never a berbatov lover but when he signed i was excited!
The season before he signed a table was produced combineing assists and goals scored. The top 3 where Ronaldo, Berbatov & Rooney… So you can see why i got excited!
I looked at berbatovs technical ability and composure and couldnt see him not doing well for us.
His first season i wrote off as we were tactialy playing for ronaldo and i think we played berbatov too deep.
This season however i kept waiting for it to click for him, Waiting for a mamoth performace which never came.
However i was retisant to jump on him as too many people have a tendancy to jump on players and expoect 10 out of 10s every week! Im more realistic!
I have decided to give berbatov till the end of the season and in my eyes after the last 3 games we have had we have seen the end of our season!
Berbatov just didnt do it. Hasnt repaid any of the 30 million we spent. Fergie hasnt done anything wrong in signing him as i wanted him at our club, but i think enough is enough! Please move him on!
I thought Macheda was more impressive today than Berbatov, He linked play up well but most of this link up play was in striker positions! He was direct with his running and looked more likly to score than berbatov!…………Macheda hasnt been back from injury long and is a young young player! Just showed up berbatov even more!
@Macheda IS GOD – where is GHTT
he would argue with your choice of username
why can nobody criticise any united player without being called a gloryhunter or a plastic? im 18 years old and im from ireland, i spend nearly evrey cent i have travelling over to manchester or wherever we may be pkaying , and after the money ive spent and the support ive given i believe i have a right to criticise if i see the need. the people who are laying into berbatov are a 100% right in my eyes. 31 million pounds for a player who cannot strike a ball with any conviction, has no pace, offfers nothing in the air, has no bottle or fight, and constantly slows down our game. yes his first touch is sublime and his hold up play is good but for 31 million pounds you really would expect a lot more. my other main worry is the over reliance on giggs scholes neville and vds. they have been some of the greatest players to have ever pulled on a united shirt but bar vds who i think has 1 more season in him , i think thier time has finally ran out. a club the stature of manchester united should not be relying on older players no matter how good they have been, look what happened to the 1968 team, they were allowed to grow okd together and within a few years they were relegated. more recently look at ac milan, the collosuss of italian football have fallen so far because of over reliance on older players, cafu, maldini, nesta, gattuso, beckham, seedorf, inzaghi, costacurta etc.sir alex needs to be allowed to build a new team and be allowed to compete financially with the other big clubs. surely this close season there will be big changes , the deadweight shipped out (berbatov, carrick etc.) and fresh young players brought in to replace the old guard. i have never doubted sir alex but i feel that his hands are tied by the glazers.
@ Jay
I agree it’s nonsense. I don’t think we should worry though as it’s not going to happen. But if they support the team, pay their ticket fee or whatever: membership, shirt price; then they are still United fans who have the right to give their opinion. “Fergie out” is an opinion nobody will listen to anyway!

GoatinaUnitedshirt – well thought out post, at least you give reasons for why you don’t think Berba has performed for United. All i seen today was, Berba’s a moany whore, fuck Berba, Berbaflop. Pompey 1 up spurs are shiteeeeeeee
@suhayl
You have highlighted the all the things that pisses me off about berbatov.
He always seems to kill any attacking move we get, he will get the ball then stop, go to a walking pace, All the opposing defenders get back into positon, Our advantage is lost and Berbatov then plays a nice perfectly weighted pass back to our fullback!…Then to make matters worse, will stop running and walk into the box and a few passes later when the ball is whipped in berbatov isnt in position and still walking, for him then to skip and start to jog!…
Just not what i want from our Striker!… Id be in favour of getting rid of him and giving Macheda & Diof and Owen more chances next season! At least they provide goal threats!
@suhayl – i respect your opinion so much! but even you and your mates who support the club for 30-40-50 years won’t make me lose faith in the player.
Now we have to focus on defending our 2nd place, I worry
the problem is not berbatov it’s the 4-5-1system we now play;
he is not suited as a lone striker, and he has not had enough of a run to do well on those occasions we play 4-4-2;
and when we do, as today, the problem is in midfield, where giggs and scholes are not sufficient to dominate play in the middle (esp when our opponents play 3 in midfield) – as well as create opportunities for the strikers,
AND nani on the left will always prefer to cut in, further compressing space in the middle.
In addition to this, of course, we are financially fucked – because the club revenues are being used to pay the debts taken on by those asset-stripping yankee glazer cunts.
It is all out of our hands.
Just focus on winning our remaining games, that is all..
What a sad situation to be in…
apologies for the double post. my computer is acting the bollocks today
DIMITAR BERBATOV. TOOK ONE LOOK AT CITY AND SAID FUCK OFF!
@Fze123 – “Plus he rejected the chance to join us, so in simple words he can warm or fuck the bench in Spain for all I care.”
Interesting. I wonder what your opinion is of a certain player who had this to say after turning United down in 2006:
“I can reveal now that I had an offer from Manchester United and everyone knows what it means but after talking to Martin several times I decided to choose Spurs”
“We went to see Tottenham’s match against United last month and afterwards I met Martin. It was our first meeting but I realised that he’s a very special man.”
Guess who?
@ Fred, you would expect Benzema to offer something with the likes of Ronaldo, Alonso and Van der Vaart providing service. Berbatov didn’t exactly have all this creativity availabe from midfield today, did he. Fergie knows Real won’t sell Benzema for less than 30 million, so that’s enough to put him off. Overpriced and in my opinion he hasn’t done enough to prove he is worthy of being a Utd player.
Trevor – I’m a fan of Benzema, i think under saf he would reach his potential and form a great partnership with Rooney.
@ willierednut
That’s nonsense sorry mate. I know that me and a few others have constantly talked about how Berbatov isn’t good enough for this club by using dozens of examples from games including specific incidents, chances and a range of stats. Maybe you’re paying too much attention to the wrong posts.
Yes they did barrack berba…ive never seen utd fans that angry..
but best away day of the SEASON AGAIN…..8000 LOWER AND UPPER TIER of DARWEN END CONSTANT CHANTS AND SONG AFTER SONG……with fans being plucked out by stewards AND COPPERS because we were pumping all game…
Fans were awesome…..best bit though was
Some may know or not….blackburn rovers always send letters to us NOT TO STAND ALL THROUGHOUT GAME…AS WE VE DONE IT FOR YEARS AND KEEP IGNORING THOSE LETTERS…ROVERS DONT MIND…they know its their biggest matchday of the year..lol
Even so..tannoy went out ” will all manchester utd fans please refrain from standing and please sit down’
To which we went ” fuck off fuck off…..STAND UP…STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS…STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS” Great opportune moment and great irony..best part off a really bad day really….
fans did us proud though
willierednut – when I have cricised him I have given reasons why, my criticism of berbatov is he lacks that dynamic drive in the final third which makes him easy for defenders to defend against
@gazman93
Feel free to critisize who you want in the United shirt afterall you pay for his wages unless that is you don’t and ware green and gold, in which case you go and see a performance and like the opera you don’t shout at the performer just because you paid the entrance charge.
also willierednut I am not a benzema fan his attitude is pethetic, he is a fascest fan no time for fascests we already had one and that was annoying in the press, if he came he would be called bumsema a lazy bum.
@willierednut
Im with you there!… He has raw striking tallents which just need to be natured!
A player like benzema is never going to be given time at Real Madrid!
I really wonder if real madrid had of signed Berbatov for 30 million when we did how much of that first season would he have played?… Also if he would have lasted the whole season and not sold or sent out on loan!
With real madrid you either produce the goods straight away or your gone!
Who has said Macheda wasn’t good today? I missed that post and it’s been mentioned a few times.
Macheda, for his age as well, was very good today. His movement was far more intelligent than his age suggests it should be. He created so much space around the Blackburn back 4 but Berbatov didn’t exploit it and nor did anyone from midfield. Nani tried to exploit it a few times but coming inside against those Blackburn defenders is difficult. Macheda was brilliant today and he is going to become a superb striker.
but if united are going to play 2 upfront they will need to sign a strong CM but we have signed the 21 year old mexican striker and his english is sensational and he has got a nickname so he must be something special
@CaerdyddCoch
I dont know if someone said macheda wasnt good today.
I thought Macheda showed up Berbatov today, I just hope fergie seen it too!
@ Fze123
I think anyone with a sensible footballing head would not expect Benzema to produce anything like what Ronaldo produces. Ronaldo is a total phenomenom; an absolute one-off. That Benzema doesn’t play as well as him is not an issue at all.
Whats nonsense?
@ willierednut
Sorry, I didn’t make it very clear. You said that people weren’t giving proper criticisms of Berbatov.
Corea mate, no i kept singing other chants…but their was alot of abuse for berba….alot
CaerdyddCoch – Wasn’t talking about you mate, was talking about people who call him Berbaflop, moaning whore etc.
Our Clubs Transfer Policy!
We have signed 2 big name players who have failed to live up to expectations. Veron and Berbatov.
I did love veron and i think fergie signed him purley for europe but im sorry no central midfield player was going to split Keane and Scholes.. Just proved how good both where!
There is lots of talk about Signing Villa but i am afraid i dont want him!.
Signing Older Players and Specialy players who are unproven in the premiership is difficult and could lead to another donkey like Berbatov!
I would rather the club Bought James Rodwell & James Milner… Then suplimented them by some other players from around the world who possess massive potential like Costa or some of the other Well saught after youngsters!
There is no better club for them to break through< We give youth a chance! there is no question about that!
@suhayl
Did it look like Berbatov heard the abuse? He seemed very distraught in this match.
but best and only positive off day was the blackburn rovers tannoy telling us to sit down for health and safety reasons…..to which the chorus off STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
JUST AMAZING..WHAT FANS WE HAVE.
Berbatov is good enough to play for top team. He is good enough to play for a team that understands what he is trying to do. Berbatov wants to play for the club. Berbatov doesn’t moan. Berbatov doesn’t any other drean team. Berbatov didn’t turn down a move to a club because the other club offered more money. He is an honest, humble guy.
Give him some respect.
Some say “Fergie out”. Other say “Berba out” and just can’t even think of acknowledging the idea of Fergie being unable to use the player in the best possible way.
Fred, guess who chose us over City – chose football over money?
Man, all this is getting pretty boring.
Like him or hate him, support him while he is still a Utd player. Seriously, get off his back. If Rooney is still out for the derby, then Berbatov will be likely to lead the line. When he sees this slagfest and reads all these unsupportive comments then he won’t play well. Okay the last part is a joke. However, he needs to be shown full support until the end of the season. Moaning or groaning whenever he does a mistake does not help. Duh.
@suhayl
Thanks for the stories! You all do us proud! I’ve never been at any Man Utd games before but it’s my dream for the future
@ Fred, you would expect Benzema to offer something with the likes of Ronaldo, Alonso and Van der Vaart providing service. Berbatov didn’t exactly have all this creativity availabe from midfield today, did he.
Good point but also you must take into consideration that Benzema came on with 10 minutes left and Real being outplayed. He did manage that header that flashed narrowly wide but it’s obvious he is short of confidence. I hope he realises what a mistake it was to join that circus of a club and regrets not joining United.
trevor … I’m with you on a lot of your posts and the fact that inevitably many of our fans are spoiled with our success. You can’t really blame them ….. my kids who are in their 20′s are the same.
I also think it’s valid to discuss what players we all think work in our squad and which don’t.
But the biggy is that we win as a team and we lose as a team.
Do any of us really belive there was one player in that dressing room after the match today who said ….. “it was Beba’s fault or Valencia’s fault or Nani’s fault that we didn’t win”.
When yo play this game you know how much it’s about 11 men trying to get one result. As supporters we need to be reminded of that from time to time.
Still the last two weks have hurt like hell!!
CaerdyddCoch – we have bought a striker in that mexican forward which I think fergie and the club expect huge things from like I said we need to buy a world class midfielder
@ trevor
I totally agree. I said it a few posts earlier. We have gambled with Veron and Berbatov. Veron was superb in Europe. The fees for Rio and Rooney were not gambles in any way. They were always going to be successes.
Rodwell would be a superb buy but I can’t see Moyes giving him up easily after the Rooney deal (unless, that is, he knows something we don’t and Ferguson has already asked him to take the hot seat!). Milner: we can only wish!
Hernandez is a very good signing of that sort already.
@suhayl –
“to which the chorus off STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
LOL so smart of you
yes, you were brilliant. i heard your chants watching the game from TV Set thousand miles away.
you were plain brilliant and i am proud to be associated with fans like you, suhayl.
@Fze – what does Tevez have to do with anything? That is completely irrrelevant.
My point is that you dislike Benzema because he rejected us in the past, yet the same is true of your beloved Berbatov.
@jay i agree the SAF out argument is completely ridicolous, i wrote him off in 2006 and he came back better and stronger and have learnt my lesson..thats not to say he always gets it right but its the exception not the rule
ther berbatov issue is still very much up for debate though
“Colbert says:
@suhayl
Did it look like Berbatov heard the abuse? He seemed very distraught in this match.”
Agree, I want to know too. Berba looked pretty frustrated toward the end of the game.
@ rooney the new king
I suppose we could do with a midfielder. But I have a lot of faith in Gibson. Even so, it would be a welcome addition to bring a hard-working but creative midfield man. My point is that we don’t buy established world stars. If we bring in a player of this sort, he’d be mid to early 20′s with a lot of potential as well as immediate impact. Ferguson picks this type of player best. Don’t forget we should also have Hargreaves back assuming his knees don’t explode again.
@Fze123 – I doubt Berbatov reads this blog FFS.
Not blaming berbatov for the whole seasons failings, as I said injuries hit us hard. But tell me berbatov is a man utd player and i`ll tell you derek trotter is the alan sugar of the business world.
@ CaerdyddCoch, erm read my post again. I did not say I expect him to perform like Ronaldo, I said you would expect him to offer something with quality players around him. I have watched him a few times this season and from what I saw he seems reluctant to put in effort and doesn’t seem like he wants to be on the pitch. I know he wasn’t given many starts but he didn’t show why he should be a regular first team starter when given the oppourtinity to.
He won’t come to Utd, stop fantasizing guys. We have got 7 strikers in the team, all of whom Fergie will stick with. Yes, including Berbatov.
There’s always next season.
Colbert….
yes mate he knew..he knows…mentally, psychologically he looked a broken man..
whether a players good enough for utd i do not know mate…but as a human being i felt for him and what he must be going through..
The times he kept playing with his shinpads..the time he stayed on the ground laying there for minutes even…it felt like he wanted the ground to swallow him up…..ponderous looks…crying for help you could say..
i never would shout abuse at utd players….
but fans were shouting behind me
‘ get the fuck up”
” fuckin prick”
etc…
its getting ugly mate…it has to be resolved this summer 1 way or tuther
Given Berbatov’s performances over the past 2 years i’d still have said i’ve expected much more from him and that he’s been a disappointment all in all even if we did win the EPL this season. Thats not to say that the fact that we’re not going to win it is down to him but he still hasnt delivered
Giles has urged for a million of times to stick with the team but the opinion of a person who supported us for a hell lot of decades means nothing to some of us. Slate Berbatov ? Slate him being at the stadium ? Too smart for me to understand.
@ Fze123
Sorry. My fault; misread the post.
@musvn, Colbert – I agree that Berba looked very angry with himself. He is probably his own worst critic and must now realise that his time is nearly up at United. I actually felt sorry for him.
He seems like a nice guy, it just hasn’t worked ot for him here. I hope he goes on to enjoy great sucess at his next club. He’d be a smash hit in Italy, Germany or even Spain.
@suhayl – ou are so very cautious mate with your posting and i can perfectly understand that.
tough call to make for me when you are in a country hell of a lot miles away from Manchester.
Gutted.
I belive Berba brings a lot to our squad and am not hung up on how much we paid. (Comparative transfer fees will never make sense.) I do think however that an Italain or Spanish club might belive there’s good value in putting in a 15m offer for Berba. They might think he’d be happier in that type of league.
Question is… would Fergie sell him for that? Basesd on the message he appeared to send with his subs v Bayern …. a lot of us would suspect the answer to that may well be yes.
I’d hate to see him go and truely belive that he can prove all his doubters wrong next year but am not optimistic re him having a chance.
empty words..
@suhayl
Fuck, man…. your post touched me. I agree completely with everything you said. I felt bad for him too, he looked just sick at times. He may not be a success for United, but no need to drive him into the ground. Good for you that you didn’t join in. You don’t abuse a United player during the game, no matter who they are.
What do we need for next season, pace, pace and more pace.
Just to add, anyone shouting stuff like “get up you prick” at Berbatov is a cunt and needs a slap.
Fze – why is it “fantasizing” to think Benzema might join United? You seem to have pretty low opinion of your own club.
Arsenal has gotten a huge advantage for their midweek game against Spurs. 120 minutes on that pitch, they must be exhausted
Dave Mack, if someone offered £15m for Berbatov, Fergie would snap their hand off.
suhayl
that is just awful.. no wonder why berbatov is not playing his best..
@ Fred,
1. That was a joke. Of course he doesn’t. Otherwise he would asked to be sold because fans are so unappreciative.
2. Benzema – okay he was brought on in the last 10 minutes because the facists were running out of ideas. He would have started if he proved his worth and shown that he deserves a place in the first team when given the oppourtinity to previously, but he didn’t. Pellegrini clearly doesn’t have enough trust in him to give him regular starts.
3. Berbatov did reject us before joining us, but it wasn’t for more money. Benzema rejected us because he thought he will win the sextuple that the galacticos seemed to guarantee but the main reason had to be money. Surely he did not think he will be first choice ahead of the others? Greedy cunt. Berbatov then snubbed City for their millions and joined us.
@Fred
Agreed, he seems like a lovely man from what I can tell from interviews. I know he supports orphanages in Bulgaria and he is a very calm, mellow, good guy . He doesn’t deserve to be abused.
Fred – united have signed the mexican forward who is about benzema’s age and having benzema I wthink will make things worse. berbatov signed was a gamble that has not payed off this signing would be just has bad
As i said..playing and what berba does and doesnt bring aside…i have empathy as a fellow human being…hence for us and above all for him…i just hope SAF sorts it out this summer…one way or the other..
Corea such kind words mate..you make me blush..lol
Im just lucky i was born in this country and near to manchester and live in mancs….
hopefully 1 day you can come down to uk and we can go to a game together…offers there mate
@ Fred, it is a fantasy. Can you see Fergie splashing 30+ million on him? Real Madrid being Real Fucking Madrid will not sell him for cheap, especially to us. Doesn’t mean I have low opinion of the club.
I’m certainly not Carrick’s biggest fan, but i would never call him names just because he had a bad game.
Fze123 – damn straight pelligrini is right not starting benzema he has been awful slow sluggish and looks a phew yards short of pace we were lucky united dodged the bullet with benzema. ronaldo and higuan have been breathtaking and it makes sence starting them 2 has a front pair because they are fit and on fire. fergie must kick himself the way tevez has been playing mind
@ RTNK, If we were to buy one player from there for me it has to be Higuain. A proven matchwinner and scores plenty. He has been their best player this season.
Fze123 – thats why fergie has made a right cock up of the striker situation with failing to get tevez signed on a long term contract. and when ronaldo was signed I truly believe he should have done a swap deal give us 50 million plus higuian.
Fze123 – Higuain is a flat track bully mate, he missed chances against Lyon and went missing last night.
@Fze123
2. “Benzema – okay he was brought on in the last 10 minutes because the facists were running out of ideas. He would have started if he proved his worth and shown that he deserves a place in the first team when given the oppourtinity to previously, but he didn’t. Pellegrini clearly doesn’t have enough trust in him to give him regular starts.”
Hehe. Replace “Benzema” with “Berbatov”, “the Fascists” with “United” and “Pellegrini” with “Ferguson” and you have summed up perfectly Berbatov’s contribution to the game against Bayern. I bet you wouldn’t accept any such criticism aimed at Berba on Wednesday.
3. I don’t believe Benzema joined Real for more money. He claimed he was a boyhood Real fan, like Ronaldo.
About us signing Benzema, there was talk (tabloid talk, admittedly) of Real letting him go on loan. I think Fergie would take that. As for us spending £30m it’s highly unlikely I agree but what better way for these Glazer cunts to prove we are not skint? (They won’t, of course, because we ARE skint.)
willierednut – give me a flattrack bully all day long because we could do with one today
@fred
Hopefully Sir Alex will solve this in the summer because it’s been painful for both Berba and us
agree, mate. Berba knows that, he just can’t help himself. I feel for him as a person.
willierednut – good point about Higuian in big games.
RTNK – we didn’t dodge a bullet with Benzema. Sometimes it just doesn’t work out for a player at a new club. Under Fergie’s guidance Benzema could reach his potential at United. Shame we didn’t dodge the Berba bullet.
@ Fred, Real weren’t down to 10 men yesterday. It’s harder for a striker to lead a team to victory when the opposition know they only need one goal to go through i.e Bayern.
I think the main reason why Fergie started Rooney ahead of Berbatov was because he aimed to knock off the Bayern players confidence. It was a psychological tactic, and it worked. Before the game, the Bayern players were all staring at Rooney in the tunnel. They looked scared shitless. Before Rooney started limping around the pitch, whenever he got the ball you could clearly see how panicked the germans became. Rooney’s presence itself frightened them. Fergie wasn’t confident enough of starting Berbatov but we did start in a 4-5-1, so there was no place for him.
RTHK – Higuain wouldn’t last in the premier league mate, he’s not a Tevez who love the battle and is suited to English football. Anyway, we’ve got Hernandez and hopefully he’ll make it because we need pace up front and someone to help Rooney.
willierednut – how many said fernando torres would not last in the premiership and look at him when he is fit he is almost unplayable. But fergie deep down knows he should have kept tevez even though he is judas. but that is what I have been saying united have signed the mexican striker who in the LA times before he was signed for united would be the lead the new era of mexican talen, he is a striker who is the exact age of benzema and his english is has sensational has messi’s two feet. now that is hope that he will def settle in pretty fast and what he has is that dynamic pace that is lacking when rooney is not there
I don’t know what game some of you were watching today, but Macheda did nothing at all except to run into a crowd of Blackburn defenders.
I still say our problem is our midfield, not Berbatov. Benzema or Villa will not solve our problems.
Btw, as human beings, I believe in respect, you can term people as flops in your own opinions, but changing their family name just for your leisure, is utterly disrespecting and disgusting behaviour, especially when they are players from your supported club. I have no respect for this kind of plastic fans. You can say Berbatov has not been a success, but you have no right to call him names like “Berbaflop”. Guys like Fred and CaerdyddCoch, though they are no supporters of Berbatov, but at the very least they are respectful of him. Kudos to them.
We all want good for our club, but with plastic fans like some of you, you do more damage to the club than opposition fans, so please grow up. Nobody is asking everyone to blindly support the club, all that is asked of, is for you to respect the club and its players
Fred – I agree I wish we dodged the berbatov bullet but there are always a phew signings that dont work out I wish we avoided the bullet.
lmao, ye right, that useless set of lame brains……Still cant fill wastelands and with fans like thon Gallaher twat everytime I see him or watch him i just think a Puppet and who is operating him………Ohhhhhh yes crack cocaine.
Go back to yer Oasis, thats shite too. And avoid class. Mercinaries and despised.
From me to you Manchester City, you will never be UNITED money does not bye class style and HISTORY.
We is coming to get uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.
@redscot ..’ money does not bye class style and HISTORY’ …
apparently money buys the fake camaraderie of Tevez & Adebayor celebrating with Onuoha.
Such put-on exuberance..lets go to Wastelend & beat Shitty since we’re no more in the title
race, do ‘arry Redknapp a favour.
Does one of the Gallagher twats attend City games now? Typical glory-hunting tossers.
Last I remember Liam used to go to Arsenal games.
