True comments...When fit the guy has a great leap, great hold up play, pace, can get goals, lead the line, can offer summat different, long balls etc...an out and out top striker with plenty of goals in him

The problem is 1 game in 20 isnt good enough. We have let him go on a free and this summer we have got rid of alot of deadwood...dong, eagles, silly, saha etc etc. Just a clearout??? Or do we have money problems esp with the glazers debt, the credit crunch, the financial mire, tevez transfer to be paid and not being able to afford berba. Hope its the former...cause the signs aint looking good with the figures

I don't understand people slagging Saha off. It's not his fault that he has been injured often. Whenever fit he has been free flowing and scoring alot. That said, we cannot have a striker that is injured 75% of every season.

Good luck at Everton!

I have also always stuck up for Saha, until the end of last season when he was declared not 'match-fit' once again.

Top player, strong, quick, excellent finisher, holds the ball and links play up well. If he can stay fit he's great in anyone's team.

I don't know where all the 'self-belief' stuff comes from, I've never read anything and unless it has been stated by Sir Alex or Saha himself, I don't think it's all in his head and is in fact genuine injury.

His deal for Everton seems to be for one thing, as there's no transfer fee involved it looks as though it has been done to free up money from his 65k a week wages. Silvestre also in a similar situation.

I think Uniteds money has been limited and that is the way we can up a bid for that striker and pay his wages over the next 4 years.

While I stood firm on the belief that United could continue to perform at a high level with the players they have. Now that Saha is going to Everton it seems United have to make a bid for someone, if not Berba who?

Huntelaar seems to be waiting still, Henrik's name has been thrown around, I saw a ridiculous report of Henry getting a medical in Manchester, and who knows what names will come up by tomorrow but something surely has to happen now.

Manucho got his work permit and will be able to play once free from injury, Campbell is young and a striker is now a must buy for United. We lost any hope of getting Berba for cheap by letting Saha leave and all leverage has been lost, but something has to happen and happen fast with less than 48 hours till the end of the transfer window. Does anyone have any educated guesses, since we are all guessing, who United will grab??

I wish Saha all the best with his new team (except on obvious occasions). I feel the same as most people on here about digging him when he was healthy but it's always seemed to me people were awfully quick to jump on him while he was down, as other dude earlier said we don't seem to shit on Hargreaves,or in my opinion Park, Neville,Ole,Dong etc as much as old Louise. They all still cashed they're checks while sitting on the bench. I know some (Neville,Ole) have done enough to earn a little more slack than others but when Saha was on he was one of the best most non-selfish strikers in england. I was hoping he would get a chance to show his class but I realize this is probably for the best. Now what are we going do for a back up striker call my man Henrik?

I agree.

I would love if Saha stayed fit and played regularly. In 2006-2007 when him and Rooney were linking up, it looked like it could've been a dream partnership. But enough is enough, I'm sure it's frustrating for Louis to have to sit out and watch but it is just as frustrating to wait for him, knowing how good he could've been. Au revoir, Louis, wish him all the best.

Sure, he's been blighted by injuries but what struck me about LouisLouisHaHa in that video is how short he is - 2/3 inches shorter than Ronaldo, Carrick, O'Shea, and Fletcher and 4/5 inches shorter than Rio and Vidic.
