Ashley Young, who scored Manchester United’s opening goal against Ajax this week, has claimed that he is getting used to every game being a cup final for the opposition.
“You realise from the first time you join the club how much pressure is put on you,” he said. “And every team wants to beat Man United. It’s the biggest team in the world and you always want to beat the big teams. It’s like a cup final for other teams, especially at Old Trafford. So we know there’s always pressure. It’s how you deal with it. I’ve enjoyed it a lot here and there is plenty to come. There are plenty of games and points and the Europa League to look forward to. I think it is easy to mould yourself into the Man United way of playing. All the players that joined in the summer have been able to do it. We have that philosophy of going out to play football and have the confidence to play. That’s what the manager instils in us all.”

Man Utd News 24/7

Startling revelation.
Costa- Haha. Good afternoon/evening, mate. How’s it going?
@boogey
All’s well my friend. Just relaxing this weekend. How are you?
I just hope that he used the LEFT-SIDE of his tongue to say that !
Ashely has a top attitude. Good to have him fighting for his spot again after that nasty injury. But this is what we need in the run in, harmony is crucial for squad play. So is taking your chances when you get a game. Well taken goal v Ajax will add to his confidence. Get in Ashley!
i like this guy. irrespective of what many others on here feel, i believe he can be a great player for us.
excellent attitude. and he’s good. he’s really good.
right now he’s recovering from an injury. we ought to cut him some slack.
I have a mature dating .co.uk advert on my page and the woman sitting down on the bed with the funny look doesn’t agree with the statement
She must be a scouser then or from stockport city
@ MG : LOL.
you aren’t afterall as big headed as i thought initially.
GET IN ASHLEY
These sodding pop`up ads are seriously doing my head in!
I now vow to never buy whatever it is they sell.
MG, haha, be scared, be very scared!
Powers of deduction lead me to the assumption that smartalex at 15.06 has never addressed me like that.
It’s in my blood:
I’m scared especially after looking at her
Arthur Daly’s twitching like a mofo! Wee Stevenage got the spuds worried!
Sachu you boring bastard!
MG
Mature dating, no prob, but seriously, bless “her” and i hope she finds someone, who the fuck is in charge of the marketing dept for that site?
MG – Your deductive prowess shines, enlighten the murky depths of depravity.
The weekend is here, school is out and sachuration returns.
C’mon reds lets get our 20th league title and be the first team in England of winning all three european trophies by winning the europa league
i believe in ashley young. !!!
he’ll be a great player one day.!
mature dating? really? i think this is a united blog. i’d rather talk about that than some other frivolity.
Those who seek to destroy me by words are neither my adversary or my enemy
For I have no use for you in my life – which leaves you redundant in reality and in fiction
The delusion belongs to you and solely you the depths of no return are existent for those who choose such a path for those who do not they not need to follow such shit to freefall.
Give it your best shot not even a complimentary eye lid opening has to bat to take you on.
19
It’s in my blood
I don’t know maybe it’s in the family
Depravity exists to nurture you and you only
You are many and one and one and many – you choose this for a purpose – your existence is flawed but your claim to hold the United hand is a lie and deception
Those who choose to walk in the footsteps of this club are greater by the greatness that surrounds them
You are nothing of the sort, a mere puppet on a string controlled by many other strings.
19
@MG : yes you truly are the SHERLOCK of ROM.
all of us here are jobless people and as a reason we sit on a football blog fighting with people and ‘supposedly’ driving away others.
sachu’s attempts are abortive. but they’ve led to believe that i indeed abase too many people around here.
im a pathetic individual.
GGMU!!
someone please talk about united. im bored of this pathetic philosophical posts and crap in general..
i’d like to see this team play vs ajax on thursday
Amos
rafael smalling evans fabio
nani cleverly pogba young
hernandez welbeck.
substitues : larnell cole, zeki fryers and will keane
MG
I’ve got some old woman who’s 50 odd pealing something off her face to reveal a 20 year old. These adverts are doing my head in.
Oh Yeh
UTD UTD UTD
Lovely goal against Ajax, well taken. Really, really want you to succeed Ashley, really. Easy there Fanboy, we don’t want a repeat of the Basel game, do we?
The reality is clear:
There is only one smartalex – he who bleeds United
You bleed pathetic lies and through the course of normality you become insincere and insecure
You believe you can make good of your condemnation not by one but by many – yet you continue to decieve
In you is a hell that cannot be reckoned a darkness full of cold measures never to be seen again
You are nothing to me and to anyone else you just are self serving to your end game which isn’t one at all
@fanboy
If you are referring to me stay out of it – you have no idea – that’s how I write anyway and you may carry on as you are. I do the philosophical crap on here because that’s me no one else does it so back off.
James
Wait till Cedars gives an opinion
MG
Cedars? He’ll be pissing in his bed, tanked up on cheap booze and moonshine.
James
In my version of events:
Cedars will be crying over RVP’s demise in a dismal Arsenal, tanked up on cheap booze and moonshine praying for a RVP goal streak…
@MG :be that as it may, i do not know you and have nothing against you but i hate mystic propagation of larger than life philosophy.
i live in the pragmatic world and like others who do so.
im not one to appreciate capricious comments or venerate the above said either.
Now you may turn vituperative but i do not give two hoots.
I am tractable by nature. and i do not want to confront condone or be associated to a zealot.
Now you can go back to your philosophies. i will only ever reply to a united related post.! (henceforth that is )
Young, Nani, Valencia and Park. Easily the best wing quartet in the league.
Thrilled that wee tom is back. We have effectively added two of the most technically gifted central midfielders in England to our squad in the span of a few weeks for nothing.
Can’t wait to see Cleverley and Scholes play together, I dare say a rite of passage that.
fanboy
You discredit me because I write a certain way.
If you cannot understand that then that is your loss – you of course therefore have never followed anything that I have written on here for the past three years so have no clue how and why I write.
If you don’t like it you may keep to yourself and carry on.
19
You keep doing what you do MG. Never mind what other people have to say.
i am not discrediting you. i don’t think you understood my post.
my inclination was to talk football and talk united. still is.
i have been reading this blog for a while. and i know a few of the posters.
i also know that an impostor exists and he’s typically acrimonious towards a certain highly affable yet pretty damn verbose poster.
i know enough about this blog.
its not that i don’t like it, but then i do not like neophytes and ramblers. you ain’t one of them.
kindly do not take offence. i am sorry.
in addendum i’d like to say this is one really insightful blog and i am truly ebullient supporter of our great club
with all due respect fanboy. you calling smartalex verbose is a bit royal. don’t you think?
fanboy
But who are posters to tell others what to write? I do my ranting and chanting at the games and come on here for a laugh with the other posters. I will talk about football but will also exchange humour. Like it or lump it really mate.
MG
Your lady is back on my computor. The one on the bed who could be scouse. Nice tattoo. :/
i believe you are right. however i expressed my opinion. my first post was a generalized one.
@rohan19 : yes. Oh the irony!
http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Exclusive-Interviews/2012/Feb/interview-ryan-giggs-united-milestone-man.aspx
Ryan Giggs interview. Very good read.
@fanboy : cheers. you really are quite verbose though. much more than i am used to. these guys are diehard fans. sometimes there’s general banter. you will get used to it.
@rohan : thanks.
@MG at 15:53
Hi mate. Don’t pay any attention to sachu. One of his many aliases.
@fanboy : you are no one to insult MG. his itsy bitsy igo was hurt my dear boy. as for calling me verbose. yes i am so. i try to be as obtuse and as tangential as possible. do yourself a favor and fuck off. you are no united fan and i detest you
Can’t leave it there
You’re wrong fanboy on many levels – the art of writing is to get to somewhere where people can feel what you feel where they can see what you see but cannot express it themselves the way you can express.
The truth is that you may be brilliant in your world but in my world this is it, this is the only thing that I have got going for myself, don’t ridicule me again if you do not understand what I understand or have the capacity to soak my words up.
Life is mostly froth and bubble,
Two things stand like stone,
Kindness in another’s trouble,
Courage in your own.
Light a way for me when all is lost because we will walk with you through anything and everything.
19
fanboy: You have not a clue maybe you don’t need to ever have one but words do exist in emotions and likewise emotions exist in words.
It’s not for everyone to understand what goes inside of my head, but if I can give something back then that’s enough. This crap has taken me a long way, it’s unfortunate for you to address it that way.
Defiance can never be taught, you either have it or you don’t. We do not stand on anything other than the shoulders of giants, memories that linger of a world that was taken away from us.
We are who we are not because we choose to be, but because it was meant to be, and through that we learn that together we are far greater than we will ever be alone, this club is a light to be reckoned with.
You can’t just write that, I feel it so choose to write it and say it the way it comes to me.
When a full stop arrives then we start a new sentence. When an obstacle arrives then that is when you stir up the courage to overcome it.
United have been doing that for a very long time, we didn’t just get here. We got here because of the courage that the club has.
Every time an obstacle comes a way will be found. Hearts must be made of courage not fear. Hold onto something because supporting this club means standing by it through everything…
This club needs only a flicker to ignite it. We have something that other clubs would so wish to have.
When the light does fade out occasionally, there is something truly remarkable that holds this club together.
We all got here for a reason. You either believe that or you don’t
19
smartalex :
for someone so popular you sure are a nut job. go do your homework kid or mommy will take away your internet. imbecile idiot.
Costas
Yeh we all know who fanboy is.
fanboy. shouldn’t that be Smarty ?
Come on stop hiding behind another name sachu. Its very cowardly.
@MG : love the poem. great post. didn’t mean to antagonize you. just wanted to get my point across.
however your philosophies are yours and let me keep mine.
i do not believe in froths or bubbles. im more of a do’er than a talker.
i have nothing against you never will. may you get whatever you want
cheers.
fanboy
I wish to tell you not to pay attention to FAKE smartalex
I have feelings I don’t have an ego like him.
No one can hurt an ego if you don’t have one
He unfortunately does not have the mental capacity to understand
Like I said do what you need to do, this conversation is over
Sachu having an argument with himself? What a retard.
@James21
Yeah, it’s clear isn’t it? Half of the posts in here are his, lol.
Oh dear, he’s back.
As stated much earlier, school holidays etc.
@james 21 : i do not have a proclivity for such bullshit. neither the time. you can speculate all you want but i have time constraints. my name is carl lindesvard and im from Sweden.
if you do not believe you can search me on google. or read my blog carl’s adventures.
@willie
Or a convo with himself. More than 2 aliases in here.
that will be all. i came here to have an honest discussion. but now it seems that on my advent im being branded an impostor. so thats it from me.
you all live happily in your froths and bubbles and stupid impostors.
im agape at the time it took for you guys to affront me with falsified accusations.
What’s all the fighting and name calling about? If we must disagree, let’s do it in a civilized manner, with respect for other people’s opinions.
UNITED4LIFE*19 going on 20.
Bye fanboy version of sachu.
Carl. Hi mate and welcome. I have googled you and it came up with The adventures of sachu. If you want to google me, my real name is Tony Hawk from the USA.
right you are costas. very civilized.
What name calling? I have a problem with people who come on here and tell others what they can and can’t post.
which means you have not googled me.
@James
Fanboy
You said earlier you were only going to reply to football related posts??? So how about you do that you boring fucker!
@james21 : i apologized to MG. and we settled it, before you came and started accusing me.
its there for all to see. i have never once abused you or anyone else.
@mikekelly12 : 12 is your age mate?
read the blog properly. i am being accused of being an impostor, course im going to reply to other things
@Mikekelly
Fanbiy-version-of-sachu also said he would leave about 15 minutes ago. Yet he’s still here. Talk about attention starved…
No it’s not my age you prick, but really good come back, did your mum help you come up with that or did you think of it all on your own? You said you were fucking off so do it then you don’t have to read all these hurtful comments. What a loser!
Young still has not convinced me that he’ll improve any further than The player he currently is or be a player that will take the initiatives at old trafford by making major impacts.
Perhaps with time he might well prove me wrong but jury is still out.
fine. check me up at OT next time any of you come.
i sit in the north stand tier 2. seat no 101
and my ticket number is 04669201
and now please stfu.
im studying chemical engineering in UManchester.
oh and about being attention starved. im truly not.
i was hoping to start posting more often here.
hence the added effort.
Ps No mate of yours!
@ mikekelly : as you say. i will still not abuse you. however., you do have great english for a 12 year old.
Bye
Fannyboy.
@James21 post whatever you like but, in an abuse-free way. After all, we are all red mancunians, pursuers of one goal.
19 rules!
It was 1977, 7 of us roll out of my 72 Cadillac Brougham. The smoke bellows from the doors as they open. As we approach the theater we see people a glow in a wash of a happening had just occurred and they were a part of it. As we got to the cashier we new we were about to enter and witness for ourselves how movies will never be the same. In a Galaxy far, far away.
As a series? We all have preferences. I’m an ass man.
oh poor mike has school. go do your homework kid.
and be offended. and learn that there are many ways of offending someone without resorting to abuse.
get a life son. you need one.
fanboy
What row is that?
I’ll look you up. Infact why not pop in the pub and we can all apologise in person.
@its in my blood : why’re you starting now ?
i have enough tits going at me. you seem highly incompetent. stay out.
@james21 : its in row 18.
i will not be present for europa league. will meet up if you guys are fine with it on during the next home game.
Fanboy
Are you still here you boring fucker? I was saying bye to you as you promised everyone you were leaving. As James says, pop in the boozer before the next game and you can tell everyone how you got your ass kicked by a 12 year old?! That’s if you still think I’m a 12 year old by the time you’ve picked yourself up. Now go and study, reading week is it?!
@James21
At least you will make a new friend when you meet whoever occupies that seat. Won’t be sachu/fannyboy/fake smartalex though.Vidic’s newborn has seen Old Trafford up close more often than this idiot.
Some poor geezer in the SAF stand might end up with a twattting!
As for the ticket no., ???
All that effort to get a new IP address and found out in next to no time.
Mikekelly12, i understand you may now be feeling suicidal, as is smartalex, such is the level of abuse you have had to suffer! Haha!
No doubt fanny has reduced you to a nervously twitching gibbering wreck, such was the verbal onslaught you faced.
We are here for you pal!
costas : that is all i can say. i rest my case.
james21 : i will make it a point to meet you at OT.
Who the fuck is this Fannie Boy? Does he like young boyz asses? Has a double headed dildo in his fanny pack? He likes to pack fannies? Not that there is any thing wrong with being gay.
fanboy
You say you havn’t posted much but was actually thinking of posting regular. Only a regular poster would come on and try to tell the other regulars what to post. I don’t have a problem with anyone but when said person comes here and tells us what to post thats when I get pissed.
@ its in my blood : yes. all this to go on a football website and abuse some unknown people for no obvious reason. wow the smartness of the plan is woefully evident to me.
@costas : atleast i’ve seen OT more often an more closely than you ever will.
James
Evening pal. You gonna make it over for the Ajax game? I’ve asked my mum and she said I can go.
Mikekelly, when I was 12, I could beat up most men. hehehehe For real, for sure by 13.
@Zibbie
Nah, unlike gay people, I don’t think fannyboy he gets any pal. That’s why his only excitement is coming here under various usernames and trolling around.
@james21 : as far as i know i apologized for that. and have been nothing but phlegmatic since.
@mike : thats nice. mommy’s letting little mike go somewhere. make sure you’re done with your homework on time.
@zibbie : im not gay and neither of those other things. you might just want to talk to me for a bit before jumping on the abusive bandwagon
Fanboy
Still here…. Yawn!!
Fannyboy
Oooh!
There i was, feeling rather lonely, wondering why i was not worthy of your abuse!
It’s just that there seems to be something fishy about you, fanny.
The words you discharge from your lips fanny, are not pleasant.
You seem to need a good kick in the clit.
If it can somehow be proven you really are not who we all seem to think you are, i shall happily and humbly apologise.
@costas : why not talk directly to me. i reply decently. ask james. and don’t ask mike. the poor fucker hasnt yet reached puberty
@Mikekelly
And still talking about football.
@ its in my blood :
come to OT. North stand tier 2 row 18 seat 101. meet me.
i have said it time and again.
im pretty sure if i was an impostor i’d be slightly more abusive and condescending.
Odd no Man Utd game. A rested team for the run in. Can Nani shine out right again? TC is back. Jones and Smalling as well. How cool is it that Paul is back? A rested and healthy Lil Pea as well. The twins look as they are progressing well, maybe some yoga for their thickly mussel ed growing legs. DDG making reaction saves as well as anyone, next year he will be 5 lbs heavier and the wiser. The academy and reserve team are stacked. SAF has some long term targets in his sights. I love being a fan of this great club.
19
You can tell when we haven’t got a game on here, it turns into the weird blog, funny though.
Fanchu
Why should someone who has not yet reached puberty be labeled a poor fucker? As a season ticket holder you will be well aware of the pub we will be meeting in, particularly as you’re in the North Stand, correct?
Oh dear, was gonna post about Ashley but then I see the retard is back…. Makes it more interesting I suppose
Kebab!!! RatBoy?
@ zibbie : i believe nani will take more than a game to shine.
i believe we have a real problem due to the injury to valencia.
he was our dependent player or go to guy in the past few weeks.
young and nani need to find form and do that soon.
i believe their form will decide the title.
also hoping to see pogba play this thursday.
seen him and larnell cole in the reserves.
cole and lingard are real jems. in a couple of years they’ll break into the team.
i also like ryan tunnicliffe.
@costas : there that’s about football. now lets see how many level headed replies i get for that.
then you tell me whether i should continue or not.
Tree!!!!
Looks like i have a date that guarantees some fanny!
Yippee!
James & MG
Moonshine, that’s what I am talking about baby….. Fuck ya
WHAT A ZIBBIE!
Yeah mate. I think that would describe him best.
You guy’s mention this Fannie boy loving poster? I fail to see any of this phantom?
@mikekelly : platts. yes. i will be there.now if you need further GK its owned by Sam Platts.
write it down.
Cedars
You been getting outdrunk again?!
fanchu, or is it sachu, or is it whatever the fuck now?
You are so frigging boring and totally insane…. My reckoning is you are beyond repair, do yourself a favour and jump over a cliff
Cedars I had the best fucking moonshine from and Native American from Northern Minnesota his grandfather made it. It was scary smooth and 150+ proof!!!!
@cedars devil : thanks for the advice. i prefer myself alive.
My Dick!!!
Mike – Be affraid, be very affraid, seems like someone is onto you! haha Oh and yes I am being out drunk, nothing new there
Zibbie/Cedars
Not tried the moonshine but had pochin from Ireland….. Rooooooooocket fuel!!
WHAT A ZIB
WHAT A DICK
WHAT A TREE!!!
Fanny boy – How did you know I was addressing you?
Fanny,
As you’ve been coming on here for ages ( albeit without posting ) do you remember a poster called Sachu?
What did you think of him?
@cedars : abuse all you like . but do so after reading ALL the posts,
I knew Gus Poyet was a huge Suarez and LFC fan, but having his team scored 3 OGs against them was a bit too much! Sometimes bitches should hold back on the anal until the 5th date.
@its in my blood : i have been coming on here ‘to read’ for the past 3 months or so., never read a post from this sachu. however once there were many smartalexes. hence i know about the impostor. any other trick question you got?
Actually Sam Platt was an ardent supporter of the project to build the Ship Canal and on the day the canal opened in 1894 his yacht, the Norseman, led a flotilla of ships up the canal to the Salford docks. Thats who the pub is named after.
Well I’m cooking for 15 today. Some tortellini and 3 different sauces. Hot artisan bread red and white wine. With a red, yellow, orange and green peeper salad with cucumbers as well as tomatoes with EV olive oil and red wine vinegar with sea salt and fresh ground pepper. And the happiness that comes with being a Manchester United fan.
Mikekelly12 Rocket fuel is brewed world wide!!!!
Zibbie
Have you laced it with anything happy yet?
@its in my blood : surely that guy can’t be as bad as some of you.
anyone interested in verifying my identity can turn up at platts.
else others can feign ignorance like costas. its your choice really.
i have tried in vain to make either of you believe.
it was nice talking to all of you irrespective of the abuse.
we are all united fans afterall.
@james , mike : platts. i will post before the next home game. then we can decide. that is if you guys want to. incase you are as pphysically abusive as verbally ‘ll get a couple of guards.
peace out!
Mike / Zibbie
Never had moonshine to be honest, was just replying to James and MG. Strongest shit I ever had was this East European drink (Cannot remember the name) comes at 87% and you drink it in shots with burned sugar….
Fanny, baby,
I asked about Sachu.
You replied mentioning smartalex!
Hmm……
HAHAHAHA my lady just showed up and she comes in the house calling ZIBBIE!!! I answered her yes I am! See Rom again later today!
sachu
You are so fake its unreall
WHAT A LADY ZIBBIE!
@its in my blood : i have been coming on here ‘to read’ for the past 3 months or so., never read a post from this sachu. however once there were many smartalexes. hence i know about the impostor. any other trick question you got?
____________________________________________
posted again. you seem to be slow.
need to be a bit more sharp.
flickr op ye faule klootzag !
IIMB no hahaha each is let to their own devise.
M19ke

Did your Mum say I could go too.
Sorry fanboy. I don’t do the SAF Stand. I’ll meet you at the entrance. What entrance do you go in? I go in E36. Don’t see where I’ve been abusive .
Fanchu
It’s called Sam Platts, not owned by Sam Platt. Strange that! Have you ever been in there before? Anyway was thinking the tulip would be closer and more up your street. Being a student you may not be able to afford the entrance fee at Platts ?
Kebab she truly is, never blames me for being a man.
James
She said yes as long as you’ve done your chores!
My Dick
Bless her and you for that matter!
Mikekelly
Bit unfair talking of entrance fees when you get in free because your accompanied by mummy!
Cedars, you old devil you!
Hope you make it next month although if i had your choice to make, my little one would win hands down also! Alas, no choice available for me!
@mike : i can afford the 1 pound. and no platts works for me.
It’s in my blood
She doesn’t come, just gives me my pocket money!
you know what im done with you pricks.
‘ll see you at platts.
i really want to. just to see the look on your sorry face.
Evening all
Mike seems you like you have had a fun day of posting..
Ps, ditch the paper round as for 12 you look 36
In terms of young jury is out for me, I think he is a decent player but is he a 17 million united starter, not so sure.
Who is going Ajax? Managed to shift my brief which was a bonus.
It’s in my blood
Hands down mate, a no brainer really. I will know at the end of the month
Cedars
absinthe?
@mike : i’ll come to the premier inn harry ramsdens KFC wherever you want.
Oooer….coming with “guards”!
Guard for fanny?
Thats a chastity belt i think.
Giggs12
I just mentioned you in a text I sent to Mike and you appear here! Spooky! haha
@ its in my blood : you’re a pathetic excuse of a human being.
i know whats in your blood. a hundred STD’s and you poor fucker are a bastard who’s sure about his mother but has no fucking clue who his father is.
Marra
I can read you better than yourself, how the devil are you my friend?
How shit boring is being out the cup I would have loved to have won the FA cup this year.
redrider
Yep, that is the one mate….. Strong shit
Fanny
That’ll be my father who passed away recently.
New depths fanny.
I’m not surprised.
fanboy
I ask you again. Where have I been abusive ? Anyway what entrance do you go in at OT? And also if you’d prefer to meet at the Bryan Robson Plaque at the side of the SAF stand, thats fine by me, I’ll leave it up to you.
heh… looks like sachu with a dictionary… either that or his mom can talk.
Google me up was a classic though.
Giggs12
Its Marro actually, but you can call me whatever you want! Been well mate freezing as fuck here.
Like you I miss the FA Cup, always meant a lot to me personally, was the only trophy we could dare dream of winning back in the day
Fanchu
Once again you say you’re going and then come back on? Just piss off will you?!
I suggest we let the tranny fanny be, must be nap time. I bet the freak still breast feeds
Cedars
strong is an understatement.
Nothing compared to arrack brewed by my mate’s cousin. Would love to send a bottle to you one day. Make you see stars that will.
Giggs
You’re too kind! 36 is a compliment.
Fanchu
What block you in? I’m in tier 2, just in case you miss Platts, you know, the one owned by Sam Platt…… NOT!
Cedars
Fuck off you moonshine supping Lebanese Lightwieght.
Its in my blood
Ignore the last comment from sachu mate. He became abusive with smartalex its so obvious its sachu. BUT is it sachu from Delhi or sachu from Bombay.
Fanny? If you’re going to the KFC, pick me up a tower meal? Thanks sweetie.
redrider
You mean arak? Brewed some my self over the years, it is after all our national drink and we down it with pride! haha No where near as lethat as that other stuff though
Bloody hell. trolls get well and trully fucked here…..
James
Hahaha……. I am training mate, you will soon eat your words!!
It’s in my blood – If that retard does want a meet with you, knock him spark out. You would be doing all us a favour.
Willie
he’s going to some fries as well… such a generous soul.
Cedars
Haha… I don’t know the difference between arak and arrack… it’s called vaat in my place… been banned for ten years but you still get it… absinthe is swell but very expensive and illegal and hard to get but was lucky to have a mate get hold of one for us.
Cedars
Ha Ha.
You know I only drink shandy so your attempts to get me knocking back shorts will fail. I will be sat laughing when M19ke, King Eric, Giggs and Its in my blood are tucking you in with your Bryan Robson Pyjamas on back to front.
Marro
My bad can’t even blame the HTC this time. I was pissed off at losing the semi to Everton a couple of years ago on weak arse pens.
James21
No worries mate.
I know i, along with most decent people, would never ever resort to calling anyones mother or father, regardless of the argument.
Sad.
I’ve always wanted Guantanamo Bay closed down, but, on reflection there may be a use for it for someone!
James
Robson pyjamas? How did you knoiw? Never shared the fact that I had them with anyone! ha ha
As for them softies, I will be the last man standing as I smile away watching them pass out one after the next!
Giggs12
No worries mate, as I said you can call me whatever you want. Always had a romance with the FA Cup, my two most memorable finals were 77 & 79. The first for sheer joy and the second for pure heartache!

Oh we make it my buisness to find out. We also know about the RVP Y fronts.
WRN
Hi mate, there is more chance of Cedars outdrinking Linda, of Israel saying “oops you’re right to the Palestinians”, of The Rev. Ian Paisley indulging in wife swapping sessions with Gerry Adams than fannyboy turning up.
( absolutely no offence to supporters of any of the named intended)
Apart from Cedars haha!
No, i’m afraid unless STR can be persuaded to give me Fanchu’s original IP in Mumbai (or wherever )…
Hmm……
Cedars
Yes the 79 one was a killer. My Mum was seeing a shitty fan and I can still see him chearing when Sunderland put in the winner after Utd had fought back to 2-2.
Jimmy21
How you doing mate?
Giggs12 – Haha Loved it
James
You know about the RVP fronts as well? Creepy!
Giggs
Good mate thanks just pondering weather I can make Thursday or not. I’m actually off but my van is in the Garage for MOT and Service. Have asked my Spuds fan neighbour about tickets but he looked at me blank.

Wrong kind of blonde lol – in fact I have another one to the top right corner – wearing a white blouse a big belt and breats about to burst through – think it maybe a couple of sizes too small – should have gone to specsavers then
Does anyone know the song Rossobianchi? It’s a class united song that never really got going yet I fucking love it. Goog river plate singing it sends shivers down my spine.

Starting to feel ashamed of supporting the club nowadays with Europa League on our agenda lol
Ashlea has the point.
Glad we have him at our team. Though would have wanted him to be more of a left-sided player since we have monster with TonyV at the right side.
Cheers to everyone. Even though some of those after me leaving all those social networks forgot how to spell my email address !
Giggs12
No worries, was weird having only one sub back then eh?

James
Haha, got two rounds, I’ll lend you my skate board so you can do one for me.

Giggs12
Good luck fella. I’ll keep my ear to the ground.
It’s in my blood. Haha great minds. You threw two fucks, a couple of twats and a bollocks in that last post so that should give him an extra fix!
Cedars, you know i love you mate!
I was wondering what the best times /era you guys had on the terraces at OT?
I think Tommy Docs days in the season we came back up took some beating for passion and belief.
I know our away supports always been second to none, but that season and the one before when we won promotion was something else.
Fuck off the lot of you, making fun of me like that…. You should all be ashamed!!
Pissing off to bed and with that I will admit that I love you all……..
Sweet dreams fellow REDS

Without question for me late 90′s did Turin away on 99 semi.
Giggs12
You were there for Keano’s captain fantastic night?
If i could turn back time the one game i really regret not getting to was the semi replay against the Arse.
Pussy was to blame, shameful i know!
It’s in the blood
I was a bit of a late starter, first games were the early 80′s But from a personal perspective the late 80′s on United Road are my fondest memories!
Best game. Without a doubt Robbo’s 84 game against Maradonnas Barca at OT. 3-0. People say Keanes performance in Turin was epic, which it was, but Robbo’s on the night was untouchable! Cedars will vouch for that one!
Its in my blood
Ipswich 9-0 was a good laugh.
Man Shitty 5-0 Kanchelskis hat trick. Just good because they’d been wanking on about the 5-1 for a few years.
Spurs 5-2 being 2-0 down at half time.
Man Shitty 4-3 Michael Owen scores the winner.
Great atmosphere beating the scousers last week. So quite a few really
Utd always produce the chance for the place to get buzzing so there are many more that I can’t remember. My memories are sitting in the Stretford end with my Dad in the early 80s, never being allowed to go down to the railings. Seeing all the blokes outside sat around and on the floodlights drinking party 7s.
Worst game Forest away in 89. Beat 0-2 and watched Tony Gills career finished by a broken ankle. Pissed it down, no roof in the away end, segregation fences were about 8ft so couldn’t see fuck all and 15 or so of us ended up sitting down second half playing poker!!
I’m hoping the best EVER is yet to come. 2012 Etihad Stadium, United victory, Title 20 secured!!
Great Atmosphere
1 Against Barcelona nite Robson was unplayable and they had maradona Shuster etc. Hairs on the back of my neck stand up even thinkinbg about it.
beating the Klansmen anytime
Any the time we played Southampton in a replay the year aftyer they beat us in the FA cup final….
I remember playing Wimbledon at OT, may have been last home game of the season. It was a midweek game on a barmy evening. Think we won 1-0 with a Gibson goal, or may have been McClair?? Anyway, the place was that empty I remember lying down full length on the terrace sunbathing. For some reason 27k sticks in the memory?
It’s in my blood
I was indeed mate great great night.
Best ever home game barca 2008 Scholes, it was unreal in OT.
Sure you weren’t at Wastelands last week M19ke?
See you later, bed becons.
Mike – Don’t forget stormin Norman Whiteside’s contribution that night? He put the fear into Barca’s players.
Willie
Norman was a legend! Stapleton too but Robbo, wow!
Right, off to bed to dream if glory! Night RoM.
Another 4 goals for Messi? Ronaldo banging in hattricks every other week too. Speaks well for the quality of La Liga.
“Chelsea’s Fernando Torres expected to be axed for Champions League tie”
http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/feb/19/fernando-torres-andre-villas-boas-chelsea
So they have finally given up on him!
42 goals in 40 games for Messi this season. And it’s still mid February ffs. 35 in 34 for Ronaldo.
La Liga is just a waste of time isn’t it?
I wish there was more coverage of Bundesliga, as that looks exciting and well run.
Some great games mentioned!
The 5-3 v RM at OT was something, even though we went out on the night still hurts.
Costas, i wonder if Messi and Ronnie were in the same team, would they both still score at the same sort of rate?
Ronaldo and Messi of course play too much Football Manager
Goodnight United

Costas:
I was JUST making that point to a friend of mine (Liverpool and Barca “supporter”. Lot of those here in Yank-land) on FB. Their league is such a mindfuck. It is really REALLY easy to get on the scoresheet for the two big clubs, and even for the slightly lesser club, but the rest of the league is not even Championship material. Highly lopsided. Idk how the hell they are going to sustain this. How much longer will “star power” attract neutrals to watch one sided competitions? Anyway, I think the Madrid-Barca games aside, La Liga is probably watched by as many as the Piers Morgan show.
@It’s in my blood
Nah, I think something would have to give. They’d still score plenty of goals, but when added up, they wouldn’t be as many as they are now. Teams are usually built around one main goalscorer.
@Anon
Meaning no one watches La Liga anymore?
The sad thing is that according to a Deloitte report, these two teams are the most profitable football clubs in the world. Even in times of economic crisis, they are very succesful. That means that for the foreseeable future, the gap between them and the other teams will open up even more. Until Messi or Ronaldo move past their prime anyway. Messi didn’t just score 4 goals against any side today. It was Valencia. And on top of that, Platini found a way to make their Ch.League duty as easy as possible while English and Italian sides went at it head to head.
Brave? Stupid? Thick?
Whatever….if he’s spotted, the chants will be heard loud and clear!
http://www.joe.ie/football/football-news/guess-what-luis-suarez-is-heading-back-to-old-trafford-this-week-0021170-1?
Ashley, you need to “mould” a bit more my man, it’s not that easy and if you think it’s that easy you won’t do well at United, take a leaf out of the other players books – Giggs etc – they don’t say it’s easy they work hard and always say they can improve.
Ashley is looking nothing like a world beater at the moment, he started brightly for a few games and has faded badly and been riddled with injury. Evra is actually far better on the left wing than Ashley, Evra is a better passer, much much better crosser, can cut in or run at players and gets assists, it’s just his finishing that’s not as good. I hope Ashley picks up form, I was hoping for another Valencia with a bit of Nani but he is nowhere near these guys yet – focus dude, it not easy and you seem too caught up with being overwhelmed at being at a big club and trying to act like you fit in – that will come with better games.
Re Suarez, the club’s security should just ban him the way the ban any other potential trouble maker, simples.
Been reading this site for near 4 years now. Remember guys on here AIG,Suhayl,GHTT(in full),Redscot(young guy),King Eric,Paul Parker, and so many more..the site has reached a new low. Wanted to read insightful football related posts, though I enjoy the cultural exchange/banter as well, but reading through 100s of posts of abuse-its all gone BBC606. I recently had a nice reply to my country’s first ever AFCON2012 cup win with fletcherTMs (great guy) on twitter. Its a sad day to leave this great site but its getting harder for the neutral etc to follow. Goodluck lads, like my team Zambia who lost 18 players in 93 – United will never die.

I’m sure that, for example, the Liverpool fan who shouted racial abuse at the Oldham player wouldn’t be allowed back into Anfield.
In fact, any supporter who’s been found guilty of racial abuse at a football match would not be allowed into a football stadium (at least for a couple of years).
Suarez plans to come to Old Trafford, not as a player….but as a supporter. And seeing as he’s been found guilty of racial abuse at a football match….would we not be well within our rights to ban him?
As for Young, he’s been poor since late September, but I’m willing to give him more time before a proper judgement. I thought he looked very bright against Ajax as the game went on…..and what he does give us is the ability to link play up. He can play the one-twos with Rooney, Cleverley etc. Same applies to Nani.
Its part of the reason why we were able to play such good intricate football at the start of the season…..all of our front 6 (Nani-Cleverley-Anderson-Young-Rooney-Welbeck) had good ability on the ball in terms of passing and link up play.
Valencia are a good side Costas, but it is what you mentioned just previous to that which is the reason for the Barca-Real Old Firm dominance. Money.
La Liga lets the teams sell their TV contracts individually, something the PL, and David Gill especially, are against because it is not fair on the newer/smaller clubs.
It’s almost single handedly what is propping the two clubs up ahead of United atm. Of course they also have great merchandizing, but take out Ronaldo from Real, and Messi from Barca, and I don’t think they will be much ahead of United. Luckily for us, United focus on more long term corporate related sponsors which will keep the cash flowing over a period of time consistently and we won’t have to rely on the fluctuations of the merchandising and TV markets.
Anyway, it’s that money that Barca have used to splurge on the likes of Villa, Fabregas, Sanchez, Mascherano, and of course the 45 million + Eto’o man, Ibrahimovic. And Real’s history of spending is well documented enough.
With all the star power focused on two teams, it’s not really surprising to see Valencia get beaten at Camp Nou.
Curiously, Barca’s away record is pretty dismal this year. The main reason why they are TEN fuckin points behind Mourinho, who I am beginning to like more as he comes closer to breaking the Barca dreadlock on the League. And if none of smaller Italian/German/French/Portuguese teams manage it, Mourinho would be my last resort hopeful of thwarting Barca to the CL as well…
well said, the abuse on here is sometimes completely idiotic and juvenile
I don’t like the Young bashing that is surprisingly going on at RoM, one of the few United forums on the Internet where we don’t have glory-hunters trashing every mistake by our players.
I like him. I liked him at Villa, and I have liked whatever little sparks of brilliance that he has displayed at United. He is a confident bloke on the left hand side, and that is the biggest difference between him and Nani on that side. He is willing to chance it against full backs, and that may frustrate fans, but the moment it comes off, it’s a sure shot chance for our striker(s). I just loves the way he rolls the ball from behind his left leg while facing the opposition’s right back. It’s a semi-Cryuff turn, and he does it almost to perfection.
Let’s also remember this is his first season at United, having played all his career at Watford and Aston Villa, and that other mediocrity defining team: England.
Like Andy Cole, it will take him a bit of time to get adjusted to our game. He will improve like Valencia and Berbatov, and he will come good as this season progresses. I don’t see him at United for very long, he doesn’t seem to have the same REDness to him that Valencia and Evra seem to carry. But he will be here a good while, and I see him winning his fare share of titles.
One of the comments made about Valencia is that he is predictable and people say Young is the same. However, look at the way they play, Valencia as a right winger is anything but predictable, he is actually an amazingly well rounded winger, he can beat a man at pace, pass extremely well, cut in and shoot and cross well, he can score from anywhere and he can head the ball and hold up play.
In recent games, Young – maybe wary of further injury runs up, does not try to beat a man and cross, but either cuts in too far crowding the centre and making us lose an outlet on the wing as the centre tends to be crowded anyway with Rooney practically an attacking mid and two mid-fielders to boot – he is then also out way out of position if the ball is lost and provides zero defensive cover to Evra and also forces Evra to go further forward to play his crossing role on the wing. He also slows down to cut in allowing defenders to organise themselves and slowing the pace of our attacks, he rarely picks good cutting passes in the final third. His defensive covering needs to improve as he is playing with one of the world’s best attacking backs and Valencia always covers for his RB when they bomb forward.
That aside, it’s not about immature things like “like” or “hate” a player, it’s really about analysing the game as you see it, that’s what this site is about and ofcourse people will have different views on players but let’s not get silly about it.
Ashley Young
19 Appearances
4 Goals
6 Assists
Which means that he scores or creates a goal in every other game.
That’s just not good enough is it.
If only we had signed Torres or Andy Carroll :p
@NBI
“Evra is a better passer, much much better crosser”
I don’t think this sentence is anywhere remotely near being correct. Young’s crossing ability is excellent, second only to Valencia I feel. The only reason for him being not up to mark since September is because he hasn’t even been fit to play.
Idk about Valencia getting goals from everywhere, but yeah he is easily the best winger in the side, no questions asked. Young is different though. I do see him trying to, and succeeding in, beating his man on more than one occasion. In fact, he had to evade his man to score the goal he did against Ajax. He’ also had a stop start season this season where as Valencia has had a good run in the first team. Let’s see how Young does this coming month with Valencia on the side lines.
Good morning lovely Red devils around the world,
Well said Ashley Young,
The awkward moment when EPL’s 17th position team Blackburn Rovers have scored more goals(37) than La Liga’s 3rd position team Valencia (35)
Man, what a dull weekend it has been. Weekends are just not the same without my favorite team in action. So looking forward to Thursday.
On topic. Regarding Young, the lad made a great start to the season but injuries have hampered his progress I guess. He has scored a couple of key goals (including the 2 screamers against Arsenal) so it’s not like he hasn’t made any contribution. Now is his time to shine with Valencia injured for a month (though I do expect him to recover before that). The lad has got plenty of quality but he needs to take it up a notch since he is no longer playing for Villa and I’m sure he will. All the best Young.
Just a quick question to everyone. There have been reports flying around that Vidic might make a miraculous comeback before the end of the season and he just might be in contention for the City game. If he does make a full recovery, would you play him or would you continue with the ever improving trio of Evans, Smalling and Jones?
@Utd4life – depends on how fit he is but I probably wouldn’t risk him. He’s never been someone who can slot straight back in after injuries….I still remember the San Siro in 2007, when the Gaffer had both of our centre backs returning from injury, and had to choose 1 to start against Milan.
He chose Vidic, when realistically he should’ve chosen Rio – a) coz Rio was the more natural athlete anyway and b) coz he’d been out injured for less time than Vidic. We lost 3-0 and Vidic had a nightmare lol
That was 5 years ago, and if anything he’s less mobile now….so unless he gets a good few games before the City match, I wouldn’t even consider him (nor would I consider Jones who’s the least reliable out of our centre backs atm)
Sparkz. That’s exactly what I was thinking. Initially, we did struggle without him but in the last few weeks, the back 4 have sort of stabilized though we still concede goals to silly mistakes. As much as I would love to have Vidic back in the team I would like to see the temperament of Smalling-Evans partnership in this crucial run in. I would like to see how Smalling and Evans handle pressure without Rio or Vidic guiding them. Cheers for the reply mate.
@ Jonny
No one is saying Young is a bad player or that he is a Torres or Caroll let’s not get silly. But this is United not their shitty little poe faced clubs and the comparison is of a higher level; the left wing was Giggs for years and when looking to keep the team ticking over and of even standard or improving, people will not necessarily want to see or expect like for like – no one can be Scholes or Giggs – but there is a reasonable expectation that they are not far off so we can compete with the best.
I said in my post Young started well and tailed off, that is also stating the obvious, though I agree with you that he has not had many games to show his ability, but in my view Giggs and Nani have been better on the LW this term. Obviously, it is in the interests of the team that Young does well and everyone will hope he does, but he just does not seem to have that extra 10% step up right now, that extra bit of guile and world class. His greatest strength is he is one of the few potential goal scoring MF’s we have. But right now, in my view he is third behind Nani and Giggs on the LW. I would like him to develop more at United than he did at Villa, I think at 40 games we can judge better, but this topic was posted now.
@ Marq
I would rate our best crossers as:
Valencia, Giggs, Scholes – though he is rarely on wings, Evra and Nani on his day.
Rooney and Welbeck can also pick a cross. Potentially, Ashley, Fabio and Rafael can get up there but I have not seen enough from them.
Park is also a useful winger.
@Utd4life
Obviously we can’t predict how many injured players we will have next week, let alone 2 months later, but it’s an interesting topic. I am actually a bit surprised at the Vidic reports. Will he be ready to go just 4 and a half months after an injury like that? I personally doubt it. The start of next season is more of a realistic target. But, if he somehow manages to overcome his injury by the City game, I wouldn’t start him for that one. Not if Rio, Smalling and Evans (or at least 2 of them) were available. Evans has improved quite a bit this season and Vidic getting selected for a game like that could unsettle the back 4.
Costas. Thats true mate. Given our fluctuating injury crisis, I wouldn’t start him if we have 2 proper CB’s fit. The last thing I want is for Vidic to make a comeback without any match fitness, start against some team, get a knock which will then put him out for another 5-6 months. But as you say, if we still have our injury crisis going on by the time we face City and none of our CB’s are fit and Vidic is fit then maybe, just maybe, I would play him.
Utd4life,
Indeed its boring without football mate,
Costas,
what up pal..how many Cuban cigars over the weekend>?
@NBI
I don’t know how you judged Young’s crossing to be poorer than even Evra. And I don’t even remember the last time I saw a cross from Scholes. I suggest you go watch some of the games Young played to see for yourself. He is one of the best crosser of the ball in the league. Mind you he has one of the highest assist count in the league.
The best crosser in the team is a tie between Giggs and Valencia. Now, the best passer in the team is Scholes without a shadow of a doubt.
Scholes is indeed our best passer. As for his crosses, he has the odd great cross, but the last meaningful one I can remember was when he set up a Park header away at Fulham in 2008. Young’s crossing particulary at the start of the season was very good. I remember seeing him line up to take the free kick that Smalling scored from against Chelsea and actually fancying our chances. Can’t remember the last time that happened.
He just needs to get back to that kind of form. He has that chance now with Antonio’s injury.
@Utd4life
Yep, there’s definitely the risk of a new injury if he’s rushed back. And that’s not only the main concern. If Vida already has 2-4 games under his belt before the Etihad, I’d fancy him starting. But if City is his first game back, I don’t think he should start. He could cope from a physical standpoint. It’s the tempo of the game that could cause him problems.
@Sandeep
Hi mate. Lol, no cigars this weekend. United weren’t in action so I didn’t feel up for it. How are you?
Just wanted to highlight Sandeep’s point about how Blackburn have scored more goals than Valencia. That just shows the gulf in difference between PL and LaLiga. I’m surprised that people even watch LaLiga because it’s so boring and theatrical. The El Classico is more like El Theatrico with players and managers throwing hissy fits like a couple of school girls. Jesus Christ, that is one pathetic league. Premier League over LaLiga anyday. Sandeep mate, keep those facts coming in. I love reading them.
Just when I was getting over the whole Evra-Suarez incident, I read that Suarez wants to come to OT to watch his former club Ajax play. Seriously, is this boy dumb or what? He is one thick racist cunt.
Costas,
we can expect them on Thursday night then
I m good buddy, thanks
good day
ON THIS DAY: In 1910, #MUFC played their first ever game at Old Trafford.
Hi all.it pains to see so much angst on display on here at times.back and forth endlessly.I was of the mind that silence is a fool’s best response.mind you we could have minors visiting this here blog.We are United.it’s definitely not the utd way.no doubt about that.lest I forget,my bad, belated congrats to KE and his family on his lil one.also to every other ROMer that I might have missed out on congratulations to you all.safe.

Morning mate, that Rossobianchi song was epic, thanks for the video…. Watching the lads singing it gave me goose bumps
Sandeep – That is some bit of historic news, I doubt many knew that…. Great research my friend
Morning all

Just to let u guys know , there’s an interview with SAF being aired tonight on Radio 5 live at 19:00 conducted by Dj (scouse lover) Spoony …. should be interesting .
People have tinted glasses on. Young crossing is excellent? is that what you are trying to hypnotise yourself with?.
Injuries or not, he’s still not convincing that he’d ever step up and be a consistent class act. maybe he will with time but remember, he’s actually an experienced player so more will be expected of him. Can he live up to expectations? We shall see and valencia’s unfortunate injury gives him the platform to prove this.
Saf didnt buy big names, but Young is a great player. i red that Modric is glad he didnt join Chelsea, that he would rather in Manchester United. But i prefer Eriksen. He has more potential.
Utd4life – none of the other la liga teams have scored more than 37 goals and only 4 teams including barca and RM have a + goal difference. I have always been of the belief that the English league, even before it was the premier league is the best. I remember my brother used to tell me the Italian league was the best in the early 90′s, so I used to watch it when it was on channel 4 all those years back and it was boring. Yeh they can pass a ball more accurately, that’s because nobody puts in a challenge.
Shebangsthedrums
Well said….. The Italian league was big in the late 80′s early 90′s but that was due to the fact that English clubs got a 5 year ban from Europe thanks to a certain team. They did attract the best talent and the only football worth watching at the time was that of AC Milan, they were brilliant. Other than that it was always boring, best you could hope for was a 1 nil
“I’ve been getting a lot of advice
actually. Chicharito told me about

about finishing and Dimitar
Berbatov talked about composure.

them.” Lingard.
Read NBI’s posts and couldn’t agree more. You give a honest analysis of a player/where they can improve to become top players at united and then you get “it’s a player Bashing”. You called a spade a spade. Young at the moment is a decent player but we watch him and posing the question, “Does he have more to come from him or is that all?”.
Of course no one is writing him off as he’s not had a full season but for an experienced player who has gathered so many appearances in the premier league, his ability to perform at the highest level will be watched and scrutinised. So far, he hasn’t shown anything to me that he’d ever be a great player but in time, he will probably prove me wrong and i certainly would my hands up and admit i was wrong.
Whatever is said, it’s in the rest of young to become a top class player and in turn aiding united, nothing to do with bashing.
Read something about Jesse lingard getting advise from hernandez, rooney and berbatov. 1 for movement, 2 for finishing and the 3rd for composure.
Nice to see the young players getting advice and taking it on board. Welbeck calling lingard and larnell cole xavi and iniesta is probably too early though but it shows that the players who haven’t had much hype, mainly because they’re disciplined may well be the ones breaking in and i for one i’m delighted.
Both larnell and jesse must be impressing in training, hoping to see lingard on the bench with pogba against ajax hopefully, cole is currently injured.
Regarding Young, the lad obviously has got the talent and showed that during the first few games of the season…. Coming back from an injury is never easy and some players need that bit more time to adjust. Might be a confidence issue, who knows
Personally I believe that we will see the best of him again during the run in
Good Morning United
Just had a quick look through the posts
Yes it’s true that a lot of shit is said on this blog and it should stop
However, when bad things are said it is relevant beyond any doubt that what is wrong has to be questioned and if necessary fought out with direct confrontation and I on my behalf offer no apologies.
Sachu’s pathetic attempt at racism and his subsequent and consequent fall into insanity is a typical example of this – also the viciousness on match days when United aren’t doing well is pathetic – also the seemingly rise of one time wonders or serial bloggers who only show up when something is wrong at this club.
Everyone should attempt to keep it going. The rise of racism and the direct affect it has had on United is worrying and because of this it is important to fight this evil – standing by and doing nothing is unacceptable and reinforces the notion that wrong can triumph over right any time because those that could be doing something about it won’t.
Unacceptable – the club is built on defiance and righting wrongs – everyone should live in that hope

Good morning MG
Well said my friend…….. Who you gonna call?
Like you I will never stand idle and watch shit go by!
Hello Cedars,
Hope all is well my friend.
cheers
Young was excellent early season and I’m sure we will see that form again once he has a few more games under his belt.
Re best games at OT; the 3.2 against Villa was pretty special along with all the ones mentioned. Also the Blackburn game over xmas will always be a stand out game for me, not the result obviously, because it was my 4 year old daughters 1st game. She absolutely loved it making it one of the proudest days I’ve had as her dad.
Morning Cedars
Troll Busters TM
And that’s the point Cedars
Standing to one side and watching so called ‘United’ fans rip the heart and soul of this club out is in all forms wrong and out of order.
The foolishness and stupidity to use words lightly is worrying by some fans – one does not doubt that opinions must be heard and shared and we can enjoy a laugh about it – we have done since last summer over a certain midfielder – but none of us run the club we just support it
And losing a game is part and parcel of everything – seems hard for some people to grasp that.
Of course the worse thing that some fans do is to resort to a recklessness I have never seen before – multiple identities and posts of pure evil – one wonders why they even bothered to support United or if they do anyway…

Anyway onto something lighter:

MG
I hear you my friend, its these freaks with multiple identities or even worst being impostors that get under my skin, such sad lonely bastards….
Regarding your reference of a certain midfielder, would not be wee Wes would it? hahaha That was some summer on RoM
Cedars
The summer that was that never was
We’ll never sign him and I hope now we don’t – though I do hope we sign somebody –
Come on somebody come to United!
MG
Costas and I are still basking in our glory…. We stood firm and won!
Was fun to be honest
Young’s crossing hasn’t been excellent in recent months, but I’d say that writting him off after 6 months (a period which has been disrupted with injuries) is like wearing ABU tinted glasses. Sorry. I’ll side with anyone wearing the red shades on this occasion. Until Ashley is here long enough and gets a chance to prove his worth over a run of games anyway.
Cedars
It was even funnier writing about you and Costas kidnapping our transfer target
Morning Costas
Hi MG and Cedars. Talking about wee Wes again? I am not going to let that Fly.
Never heard of this wee Wes before
Is he Scottish by any chance?
See you folks later must go do the daily shop routine lol
Costas
I bet I could Fly this post right by you!
It’s in my blood
Just missed your question last night my friend…..
Best match attended? Hands down v Barca in 84 as Mike mentioned, Robbo owned them and the atmosphere was to die for
As for the terraces, I can only speak from personal experience being a regular during the late 70′s and early 80′s, I do miss standing at the Stretty and for all the various reasons the noise we generated back then is way better than today
@Cedars
So you just wrote that post on the Fly then?
Costas
I guess I did…. Was just about to have a piss and thought I would let one Fly! hahaha
Gonna fly gonna fly, Wesley Sneijders gonna fly! He’ll make his way to the Etihad, to see what money he can get, all I know I know he’s gonna fly!
http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Manchester-United-Ryan-Giggs-believes-experience-will-pay-against-Manchester-City-in-title-run-in-article867730.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
You tell em Giggsy! 19/20?
Not writing him off but i never felt he was good enough when Fergie went for him but united sign him and my view changes in terms of backing him to be a top player, i’m still hoping he comes good.
People talk like young is some youth player that has been bought from overseas, the man is an experienced players with years of premier league games behind him, more will be demanded from him and the question of being able to step up to another level will continuously be placed at him.
With all excuses about injuries and all that. So far, young has shown nothing that inspires. Like i said, he may well come good and if he does then i’d be delighted and put my hands up. If people read well then they would notice how balanced i’ve posted comments.
No one accused NBI of bashing Young either. So I think we all have to read the comments a bit better.
And personally I felt Young’s first couple of months at United were quite inspiring. Just because someone joins us from another Premiership club, that doesn’t mean they should be a hit straight away. It took Cole 3 years. Likewise for Sheringham.
On that note Madrid have signed players from Portsmouth Liverpool – are they not good enough?
Barcelona have signed players from Udinese Sevilla etc aren’t they good enough?
The truth is that sometimes we need players like Young – I for one didn’t want him but he provides a zip and a cutting edge that will take it’s time to get back after his injuries. Initially he was like a rocket so let’s give him some time and let him have his say.
Young is as welcome as they all are – I mean who the fuck was Ronaldo when United signed him? For that matter – Messi when Barca signed him? – some players just go the extra length to get to where they want to go. Others don’t. It’s football – it’s a team game – we need a team to make us better again and if Ashley Young is a part of that – brilliant.
Point rests.
However it still is Bebe’s fault
Always seems to be the same few posters that are the first to start having a go,single out a player and he becomes a Berba,Gibbo,Carrick
It’s fucking stupid to pass any type of analysis,Utd is a major step up and adjustment for most players not just the playing side of things.Young looked good early season then has had some injuries and hasn’t played much,so get off his back and give him a chance, fucking Boo Birds and negative cunts get on my nerves
Just a thought but Torres will soon have had as many managers in his 13 months at Chelsea as he has goals.
since carrick became awesome again, jonny evans became solid gibson was sold and anderson lost weight, looks like the new most bashed player is young.
give it a rest guys.
i liked young since his villa days. he’ll get better. better than now anyways.
i do feel he can provide more by playing centrally but hey who am i to say
Wayne @ 13:58: “Always seems to be the same few posters that are the first to start having a go,single out a player and he becomes a Berba,Gibbo,Carrick”
in my best Robert de Niro imitation – “are you talking about me ? I asked, are you talking about me ?”
Maybe some people have a higher standard of expectation when a player pulls on the red shirt. Ashley Young was a good player at Villa – at Villa ! Dimmy was a great player for Spurs.
And, yeah, Michael Carrick was also outstanding at Tottenham BUT Michael Carrick has actually been a better player for UTD.
So, is Michael Carrick the exception who proves the rule that a player needs to be better to be “UTD quality” ?
Rossobianchi chant http://www.fanchants.co.uk/football-songs/manchester_united-chants/rossobianchi-2/
I support Young solely because he is a United player but I think he needs to ditch his “hit the turf asap” approach to being tackled.
Having had some nasty injuries, I can understand this but hope he drops it as he gets more of a run now Tony V is out for a month. Big disappointment because he was the top performer as far as I am concerned.
Having watched the Ajax game, Nani seemed back to his old headless chicken antics and Rooney looked like he was about to explode with frustration on more than one occassion.
Optimistic for our run-in and hope some of our injury bad-luck evens itself out by the end of the season which Citeh have been very fortunate with. Losing Silva will see them struggle big time.
IMO, the biggest problem with Young seems to be self-confidence. In terms of actual footballing quality, I think he has more than enough in his kitty to make the cut at United. You could say mental toughness and self-confidence are two of the many aspects that separate those that make it from those that don’t. You could see that Tony V also lacked it during his first few months at United where he was slated in comparison to his predecessor. But boy did he step up. He has proven to be one of the best players in our squad over the past three seasons he has played for us.
When I look at Young right now, I see a shell of a player who played for Villa. He is lacking in even the most basic qualities that he demonstrated for a very poor Villa side, qualities that will improve United considerably on the left-hand side when he plays. These are qualities that you don’t lose, these are qualities that look lost when a player is out of form and shorn of confidence. All Young needs to do is tell himself that he can make it and get that confidence growing.
Whether he can get that self-confidence up and perform is the question that needs answering. The goal he scored can only help in that regard. You could see the confidence flowing through him when he banged in those screamers against Arsenal as well. Let’s hope for his and United’s sake that he finds that back soon.
denton if the shoe fits mate,i’m not getting into it with you denton but a player has to be given a chance and Young looked good at the beginning of the season. You seem to get tunnel vision on certain players and all you see is the negatives no matter how the player performs.
Don’t understand the Carrick reference the lad has been getting abuse for years and a lot have wanted to see him gone,so regardless if he’s become a better player or not fits into the mold of some players getting picked on,which was my point
United have always been a team that is way more than the sum of its parts. What those parts should be is the decision of the manager and the track record shows he’s been spot on most of the time.
Young will never be a winger of the category of Best, Ronaldo, Giggs or Figo, but he does appear to be a good fit for United.
Just because people don’t agree with your views, they’re “Negative cunts”. people need to hop out of the pre historic dinosaur age and accept others will have a view. You don’t agree, fair enough. But people are entitled to their views regardless of your “feelings” being hurt. My view about young stands, go get hire a lawyer and sue me.
Balaji – Spot on about young. Balanced view. It’s not about picking on young but about wanting him to step up another gear or two in order to be a dominant winger at united. Right now, he’s no where near that but with time and like you said, with increase in self belief then he might well prove us all wrong. Time will tell.
Im with Denton Davey he is not having a go at Young he is just saying in his opinion he is not United material.
That doesnt mean he then has the same jusdgement for other players that cause divides i,.e, Carrick, Evans, Berba etc
It is a fair assessmnet its nothing personal and I jope Young does become a United legend but the the likelyhood of that happennig is very small. Young was a good player for Villa he wasnt great just very good at times. He started well but he has soon been found out imho. He is very predicatble and as someone poinetd out his delivery is not great considering that should be his main weapon.
The jury is out for me, he would be nowhere near my starting 11 though and at 17 mil that is bloody expensive.
Young may have been inspiring to some but to me he hasn’t. We all view things differently, we’d all be puppets if we agreed on the same thing.
Young is a decent winger but united is another level he has to step up to and then perform in. At aston villa, he was the big fish in a smaller pond. Now he plays for a club that every team plays their skins out against and that means he’ll have to improve further. He’s not been written off but personally and the keyword here is PERSONALLY (each to his own and all that as everyone is entitled to their opinion), i wouldn’t hold my breath on him transforming into a consistent class act based purely on the aspects of his game but what young obviously does best is to prove anyone wrong and i want him prove he has the self belief to be a top player at united. It would benefit both united and him. My agenda isn’t to pick on any player but one wanting them to become even better players and that’s what i wish for ashley young
it’s too early to tell. hell he only started that many games with so many injuries in between. it’s not fair to criticize him based on his performance so far.
i think long time ago, one or two of us found ourselves looking at nani, fletcher, park, carrick, evans and even ronaldo and say they cannot make it. but in the end they proves themselves.
chemistry takes a while to build. he needs playing time to know how his team-mates will move, how to run, how to find space. experience to know when to push forward, and when to help his fellow leftback.
Samuel
Spot on mate just because they play for united doesnt mean we have to be a lemming and support them regardless aka – Djemba Dejemba, Kleberson, Bellion, Milne, Manucho, Dong, Bebe etc etc
Now im not saying Young is in the same catogory as above but ultimately I dont have to rate him just because he is a United player, i do however fully support him when he plays there is a difference some people cant comprehend.
Giggs12 – Totally agree with your balanced views buddy. I don’t get how it can be ‘Bashing’ when you clearly can’t see a player improving united any further, however if he does become better then he’ll be giving the credits. Never had a problem with evans, i’m an admirer of carrick’s midfield play, always said how technically gifted berbatov is but perhaps lacks that dynamism to start regularly because of United’s explosive style. Got no agenda against players, however if i notice things they can improve on, i will mention it constructively.
SC
Agree mate but there is a difference between an opinion and criticism, My opinion is that he is not United material that is not criticism its a judgment of what I beleive his ability is.
He could become the best player in the world and I will gladly eat humble pie, if he played poorly I would criticise as I would do every player if i felt it warranted a rant including Fergie, Scholes, Giggs, Rooney etc everyone is there to have an opinion on.
In terms of giving time happy to but he is not a youngster and is an England international so its not like an Academy player breaking through. This is when I hate seeing players being wrote off as they do need time to progress.
Samuel
Complete agree mate, in terms of Carrick and Evans i think both are class acts and really glad for both they have been receiving their plaudits of late.
You are right it is not bashing when you cant see what we would want to see, it doesnt mean you dont support him or United it just means at that point in time your of an opinion that said player is not the level required.
I have opinion on Berba that he is a class act, top pro yet i dont think in current time I would ever pick in the startnig eleven if you had a full squad.
I am not bashing and will always eat humble pie if proved wrong I am not egotistical the best example of that would have been Scholes coming back from retirement, i slated the club and Fergie yet now look at him, firt choice again.
wayne
I have not really read anything way over the top on Young, people have given quite decent and balanced views. Personally I believe he will come good, others feel he does not seem to have what it takes to make the grade at United…. Hardly bashing imo
Giggs12
Mate I only caught your Rossobianchi video this morning and reposted it for those who missed it…. Quality stuff…. Like you said shivers down the spine
Cedars
Mate i love that song it is class and a real shame it has never really taken off.
samuel how can you make the judgement you ‘clearly’ can’t see young getting any better at Utd when he hasn’t had a full season at the club yet and has been injured ?
You make a point about Berba that goes to my point,Berba was immense when Rooney was having his problems and Utd wouldn’t have won the Prem without him so he is clearly good enough to start if required yet that fact is forgotten about by some fans who just don’t like him.
I made a general point that some players have to carry a mantle that nothing is ever good enough,3 good games,1 bad and the same negatives get rehashed this is just a fact
Feelings were mixed about the Young signing so those who didn’t think he was good enough are beginning to make their case which imo is premature he deserves a chance but you seem to have already passed judgement.
The only Bashing I am interested in is Bashing my Bishop . One Love One United
Wayne
The same could be said when fans wont have it the opposite way i.e. relentless support no matter how a player peforms.
It is not to say Samueld judgement is final just that he doesnt believe Young is the quality required! He is not basing this on his United Carreer but also the five years he played for Villa im sure we can put togeter a judgment based on that.
It was the same with Berba you wont have anyone qustion his crdentials at playing for United, if he was that good would he be our fourth choice striker?
Well there’s always a need for a scapegoat as wayne said. Nani had worse game than Young last Thursday and somehow Young got more of the blame. Figure that one out.
@Balaji
I agree that confidence (more than talent itself) is the real issue here. If Young had been mediocre since the start of the season, then I maybe I would have been sceptical as well. But he’s shown glimpses of what he’s capable of. For me, confidence (especially for a player that’s made the jump from a crappy side to one of the best in the world) is something you build week in week out. Young was at his best when he started 8 out of our first 10 games this season. When he was starting to gel with Rooney, Tom, Welbeck and the others. Ever since, he’s started 8 out of 28 games. That’s not a consistent run in the side.
Wayne
ps thast not having a go mate i love your passionate responses nothing wrong with that at all fella, same for other though they dont have to conform so to speak.
Costas
Jones jumped from Blackburn to United
Smalling from Fulham after 10 games to United
Young played for a very good premiership side for five years! I dont want this to become lost in translation I think Young is decent, is he a first choice 11 though i dont think anyone would answer yes to that. If Nani and Valencia are fit then they are starting.
Wayne @ 14:39
Unfortunately, I’m back on the iPad so it’s not possible for me – with my ignorance of this toy’s cut-and-paste system – to reply directly by quoting your quote concerning my “tunnel vision ” but, hopefully, that reference is satisfactory.
Anyhow, what you call “tunnel vision” is largely a response to the neo-chauvinist belief that any guy who is lucky enough to have been targeted by SAF to wear the red shirt is UNQUESTIONABLY wonderful and/or “unfairly” criticized. My own views are based on watching games on the Telly which is, obviously, not as good a vantage-point as a seat at OT.
I’m always willing to give a guy the benefit-of-the-doubt because – obviously ! – one should defer to SAF’s judgement when has scouted and signed a player. BUT – equally – SAF’s judgement isn’t perfect; he’s made quite a few “mistakes”.
In the case of Ashley Young, I will acknowledge, I was skeptical from EVEN BEFORE the outset because fifteen/sixteen million quid was a huge amount of money to splash on a player who was one year away from “free agency”, who was in his later-middle twenties and, therefore, had probably reached his personal ceiling, wasn’t much of a two-way player, AND – most particularly – who had never proven himself to be able to play with a dominant left foot.
I will also acknowledge that Ashley Young began the season in fine form BUT TheLads were crushing all before them. The real test of his value to UTD’s cause was going to be in more difficult circumstances, against more difficult opposition. And, alas, it’s hard to argue that he covered himself in glory in the CL matches or the subsequent EPL matches for which he was selected.
If I was going to be snide, snarky, or just downright-nasty then I’d say that Ashley Young has been better value than Stewart Downing BUT, as we both know, Mr Downing is in over his head at a middling club with a great – long ago – history. In any event, Ashley Young now wears another red shirt and with THAT red shirt come much, much higher expectations.
Cedars it would be interesting to see how many posters who don’t think he has what it takes to make it was saying that after the first few games,my point is it’s to early to judge either way so why go negative, give the lad a chance. It’s not just about Young as my above comments explains some players are never good enough
Wayne
Its not a case of a player never being good enough and then saying its the same for everyone else like Berba etc.
I like Young its not personal i just dont believe based on his Villa perfomances that he will take us to teh next level when there are players in the same position ahead of him.
I love Carrick i think he is our best midfielder, I also think Jonny Eavsn current performance is our best defender. Onto berba if he was as good as you make it (regardless of the fact i think he is class) why is he not playing. Not only not playing but not anywhere near the first team?
@Giggs12
That’s not to say Jones and Smalling haven’t had their ups and downs though. Plus, in my opinion the transition is always harder when you are a winger, a striker or an attacking player in general. Because those types of players get singled out by the opposition more often when they play for United than when they do for Villa, Fulham or any other middle of the table side. At the same time, a defender at United is under less pressure than when he’s at a smaller side. In Young’s case, one side of the coin is that he’s surrounded by better players at United. The other is that opponents come at him harder now. That’s a problem that Berbatov also faced.
Anyway, I really get your point. I am just saying that football works in circles. As brilliant as Valencia has been recently, back in August/September most of us fans would have picked Young over him. And I’d lie if I said I expected him to lose his momentum after that period, but as stated above, I can see why it’s happened.
Costas – To be fair mate, Nani has received some grief from fans. Even when he has performed well! On Young? I was one of those that didn’t want United to sign him. He started like a house on fire, but flattered to deceive since. I didn’t think he played that bad at Ajax. Scored the crucial first goal. Looked confident after that, for sure. Young is in that predicament, that Berbatov was in. Fans perception of them, will be hard to change, if they don’t hit the heights consistently. Young will get my support while he dons a United shirt. That’s all I would ask of everyone else.
I will kick in that Ashely Young has a good attitude and pops up to put in the occasional goal.
Actually has a slightly better goals per match ratio than Nani and almost double Valencia. Major criticism for me is that he seems to need alot of settling in yet and isn’t as good with his left as we seem to need. To his credit, Young doesn’t seem scared or out of place with the magnitude and has had a couple of real nice goals for us. Not going to judge him in his last couple matches as he had been out injured for 2 months and just working his way back. He wouldn’t be on my first team at the moment, but we need depth in all positions and Ashley is a long way from wasted space.
Think we have far more worries at the back than worrying about Ashely Young.
We are one injury/redcard away from seeing Carrick back as a potential CF. That is definitely something to worry about because we need Carrick for the defensive midfield. Anyone know how Anderson is doing?
Giggs12 hi mate Young’s credentials did come under scrutiny i forget the exact stats but had a top assist and decent goal total so at Utd given a chance should improve on that,my point is don’t see how anyone can judge Young on his Utd career when it’s just getting started
On the Berba topic think you missed my point a bit but we all know the reason Berba doesn’t get much playing time is because Rooney is number 1,calling him 4th choice isn’t accurate,if Rooney got injured hard to see Sir Alex starting Danny and Hernandez together
Oh, and as an aside, I sometimes find it irritating when players consistently speak about how great United is. It just seems like lip-service and PR routine to me. No matter how nice and gentle-mannered the player might be. Unless it comes from someone who I genuinely believe to be a United legend like Neville, Giggs, Scholes and of the current crop Evra and Ferdinand. And we all know that those guys don’t make such statements because they don’t have to bleat about it in public all the time. With everyone else, it sounds like press routine to me. Just my two cents, especially when the player hasn’t performed to the best of his abilities. Just my two cents, now I prepare for the reprisal.
I agree with wayne that Berba is more of a direct replacement for Rooney, as is Hernandez for Welbeck. I believe I was the first that came up with that theory.
@willie
Oh yeah, Nani has received plenty of critisism. Not denying that. I was just talking about their performances at Amsterdam and how they were received by our fans. If you remember, I was also against him joining us last summer (we needed that money for a CM, I still believe that). But he did prove me wrong in his first handful of games for us. So he can do it. It’s more a case of confidence as Balaji said.
@Fletch
Physioroom.com says Ando should be back in a 1 week. Take it for what it’s worth. We haven’t had any updates from Fergie on the matter, so no one can say for sure.
I’d personally like to bash some common sense into Audi dealers fucking arrogant after so much brand loyalty no one seems to be bothered in giving me a deal for a new car.
If only I was rich enough to buy an Aston lol
Should have walcott instead of Young yeah? B-)
Compared to the other wingers plying their trade in England, I think we’ve the best of the lot.
@MG
Halli Aston?
Good afternoon all.
Interesting debate re Young.
Perhaps equally deserving of the same questions regarding ability – or lack of it even – is Ando.
Now, theres no doubting that Young initially made a favourable impression in his first few games.
But, as has been pointed out by Giggs 12 and others, that was at a time when the whole team were firing early season.
I must confess that i wasn’t particularly overjoyed that we had signed him for £17m, i always felt he was a good player but felt he fell below what i thought was United standard.
However, i accepted readily that SAF felt he was right so i was / am happy enough to go along with that.
Almost every player going will have good or even excellent games sometimes.
One of the things to set them apart from the rest is consistency.
And of course being able to produce in the big games.
The jury is out for me at the moment re Young.
That isn’t to say i won’t support him wholeheartedly when he’s out there for us, at least he seems proud to wear the shirt.
My bigger concern is Ando.
We have seen flashes or odd games when he’s been immense, equally there have been far too many games in which he’s appeared to lack the necessary passion and seems to just go through the motions.
I’m sure he has what it takes in his locker but am not sure whether he has truly committed himself to us.
With Ando maybe thats the challenge, does he really want to stay?
Costas
Redrider, that’s ridiculous…… Have you not seen Stuart Downing????!!!!! ; )
FletchTHEMAN-Anderson is doing OK, he is on his 3rd coarse.Only joking i was wondering the same not heard a thing for ages.I can’t remember what his injury was.
Well if anyone is interested DJ Spooney has an interview with SAF @7pm on BBC 5 live tonight
Now I don’t know if it will be on internationally and I don’t know if you can get it on BBC I player but there you go

Mature datings back on my page and the scary ones gone!
Slight improvement.
Re Audi, they should give some sort of perks to United fans all things considered….like an Aston Martin!
It’s in the blood
Afternoon pal. Totally agree with Ando, just doesn’t do it nearly often enough and then vanishes with injuries that seem to come out of nowhere? I truly believed with a full pre season under his belt he’d kick on but hasn’t happened so far. I reckon Sir Alex already has a replacement in mind. Ashley Young, I was actually quite pleased with his arrival and still think he has a lot to offer but right now the best word to describe him right now is predictable. I agree with you Deano, Nani and Valencia first choice. Have we tried him in a more central role this season?
Ricky disaponnting?

As we approach the theater we see people a glow in a wash of a happening had just occurred and they were a part of it. As we got to the cashier we new we were about to enter and witness for ourselves how movies will never be the same. In a Galaxy far, far away.
As a series? We all have preferences. I’m an ass man.
MG
Audi drivers get free parking at OT, that’s a decent perk!
Mikekelly12
Make sure your homework’s done before coming online son.
It’s in my blood
I wish mate they are full of themselves!
Can’t sell a bloody German car forget selling a quintessentially Englsh one lol
On the IPad I have no adverts of the sort
In 77 there was the 1st gas crisis, big gas guzzling cars sold for pennies on the dollar. I also has a Buick Electra 225 a 1976 as well a Rivera a 1976 all owned in the late 70′s big smooth rides.
Oh hello RoM.
Young best English winger? Do not be silly, I agree with Mike, just watch Downing in action
Evening all, Lord Lucan err I mean Cedars is in the house
Zibbies half way through a 5 skin special! Haha!
Even after FOUR years, it’s impossible to properly form an opinion about Anderson except, of course, that he’s injured too often.
Been reading this blog since the late 60′s, only started posting today. It was much better back then with posters like Jimbo, Bimbo and Bambi
Cedars My Lord,
Hello mate!
Mikekelly12
Sorry mate, meant to say hello before admonishing you!
Good day to you too Zibbie
Mike
I think we should get free tickets as well with that free parking – note I said tickets not boxes lol
Nice one Willie! I think he’s going to retire today brilliant Captain…
Cedars
You forgot Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Cedars
Ah yes mate, those were the days eh?
That’s the thing with nostalgia, it’s not what it used to be? Haha!
Old Bolg for the old Dogs….
Cedars
The sixties, yeah.
I remember crazy paving was all the rage then, but i don’t think it was all it was cracked up to be.
Anyone wonder how many Champions League’s we’d have if the Champions League was actually a ‘league’.
We have the results of a study into just that very question at OTmcr. if anyone is interested in taking a peak here’s the link.

SAF is the MAN !

I’ts in my blood
Haha, nice one…. I shall refer to you as Alcohol from now on, seems appropriate. Just as I refer to Zibbie as My Dick which is an exact translation.
MG
I guess Snow White was before my time here pal!
Denton
Blimey, can’t believe it’s 4 years! Wow!
salvenue
Interesting link and stats, wow, well clear of Barca.
Anderson = Marty Mcfly Total slacker!
Already loads of interest in the upcoming Sir Alex Interview with DJ Spoony BBC5 at 19:00 as posted earlier. Already loads of interest as very candid 60 minute spread with boss. Several sources leaking tit bits already, including the story on Joe Hart.
Should be food for much thought if the hype holds up.

Hi ho hi ho it’s off to Cedars we go
With a bottle of wine and a case of beer
Hi ho hi ho hi ho hi ho…
Someone mentioned before that this Spoony fella is a dippers fan, anyone if this is true? Should be an interesting one
After Fergie does his interview with spoony, he’s off to visit knifey and forky! Complete the set.
Cheers to Cedars!!
Flat ware. I like Ice Tea Spoonys.
Thanks My Dick, cheers to you too old man….
Willie – Haha, nice one
Is it just me? A week with out watching United is far too long, drives me mad
Way to llloooonnnnngggggggggggggggggg…………………………….
Go Man Utd.
Actually I told a lie…… I first read this blog in the late 30′s, you know during the time of the Great Deppression, Bootlegging and that ‘mini’ war that had started in Europe. Al Capone was my favorite poster back then….
Seriously going bonkers here, I need my United fix
Alphonse Capone? I blew him away! Took over all his rackets! Played some tennis with them!
Willie
Are you Eliot Ness in disguise?
I was untouchable Cedars!
Willie
No surprises there mate…. It was after all a combo of Italiians and Irish men that blew him away. Being a Scot, Connery can sure play an Irish man!
Cedars
But words keep you alive at the thought that when United don’t play the Babes look down on this earth and know that some of us will never lose this light that we are blessed with
No other team could charge such emotions and to that fact nothing else could do so either
We are who we are – living breathing with greatness
19
Stop talking like that MG! Someone will get the hump.
Willie
Just for you Willie lol
Who knows where this club will lead us next.
That’s where everything is real, into the unknown and standing behind a team that will never die…
19
When in contemplation Cedars – words and memories create the fondest of tributes to United
19
Anyone any good at algebra, mum says I can watch telly when I’m done!!
Cedars
A very good friend of mine gave me a piece of music to remember United by
It’s called Losing the light by Marconi Union
Find it listen to it you’ll know exactly what I’m saying to you
And that goes for everyone…
Evening Mike
Hate maths lol
This fergie interview is fucking brilliant, people don’t realise how funny SAF is. How lucky are we to have the manager to be at the helm for well over two decades.
Well said G12G0
To Sir Alex who I believe before he goes will outdo everything he has ever done before
There is a lot more to come yet…
19
MG
Your posts are as ever full of inspiration my friend….. Your love for United is so evident that its even catchy!
Bless you and your loved ones my fellow RED
Cedars
Couldn’t do it alone
19
Hope you done your homework Mikey?
MG –
Monkey
Algebra? Fucking most pointless thing taught at school…….. Mind you I was a wiz at physics, bloody genius I was ……. The word ‘was’ is key in my post
I loved English, especially writing
Can anybody tell?
MG
Mate spot on, he will want to conquer Europe again for sure.
SIR ALEX FERGUSON’S HONOURS AT MANCHESTER UNITED:
12 Premier League titles
2 European Cups
5 FA Cups
4 League Cups
1 European Cup Winners’ Cup
1 European Super Cup
1 Intercontinental Cup
1 World Club Cup
10 Charity/Community Shields
Wow – for the hurt that a trophy causes just look at what the gaffer has done – if that doesn’t bring a tear to ones eye then nothing else will…
Incredible
19
sorry ate my words
rephrase
for the hurt that missing out on a trophy causes…
Sorry, I cannot agree with all this hype around Fergie…. The man wears the same jacket every week and chews gum…. Keeps looking at his watch as well…. Pretty average if you ask me!
