The World Cup is over and this most notable football event put Premier League on a short pause. As it is now over with Argentina lifting the Cup, players are going back to their clubs to prepare for the end of the Premier League. Manchester United started their training during the World Cup while they were waiting for their players on the loan to come back. And while they were waiting for the season to continue, there were a few things noticed during their training.
Premier League Continues
As this was the first time that the World Cup was taking place during the winter, it is also the first time that there has been a six-week break in football leagues all over the globe. The Premier League has also been on a break during November and December while players from various clubs were on the loan to represent their countries. Manchester United, too, loaned their players to their countries and here is the list of players who participated in the World Cup 2022:
- Argentina: Lisandro Martinez
- Brazil: Antony, Casemiro, Fred
- Denmark: Christian Eriksen
- England: Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford
- France: Raphael Varane
- Netherlands: Tyrell Malacia
- Portugal: Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes
- Uruguay: Facundo Pellistri
Now, the Premier League is expected to start soon and players are getting back to Manchester United to prepare. While there are still more than a few days until one of the best leagues in the world comes back, viewers will have to wait a bit longer to place their bets on their favorite teams and players. However, that doesn’t mean punters can’t start looking for the best sites for Premier League betting in Europe, and begin crafting their strategy based on various statistics and predictions. And while punters and players are awaiting for the season to continue, there have been a few things noticed in Manchester United.
Stars from Youth Cup Involved
Manchester United’s Youth Cup triumph of last season was certainly notable. Alejandro Garnacho was the match-winner and he made a significant mark on the first team. Also, Midfielders Kobbie Mainoo and Dan Gore were spotted with the senior players in Jerez. Additionally, Maxi Oyedele, a 17-year-old player came off the bench in the game, as well as the Spanish right-back Marc Jurado. There were several academy talents involved in the last round of the EFL Cup, and there is a possibility that some Youth Cup players will make it to the team, if not soon then definitely in the upcoming months and years.
No Sign of Sancho
Jadon Sancho has not been a part of England’s squad at the World Cup, but he was also not present during the United’s warm-weather training camp in Jerez. He was sent to the Netherlands on Ten Hag’s decision where Sancho will undergo an individual training program. Manchester United will have a match against Wolves and Bournemouth shortly after Christmas and Sancho will want to prove himself to Ten Hag after he was outshined by Antony in the league.
Williams Back in the Mix
Fans haven’t heard much about Brandon Williams lately. He suffered an injury that had kept him out of Manchester United’s pre-season tour, but he did pledge to come back stronger. This academy graduate has yet to feature this season, and he was back to training shortly before the World Cup. It is possible for him to get a January move with Middlesbrough, which is managed by the former coach of Manchester United, Michael Carrick.
Even though the World Cup was the center of attention in the world of football, some things were noticed in Manchester United. Premier League is soon to continue, and players and fans are excited for the matches to continue to see who will be the champion.
