Before loan spells at Rangers and Sunderland, Amad Diallo announced himself at Manchester United with a goal against AC Milan. Sadly for him, it was during the Covid era, so there were no supporters in the ground.
Speaking to the club’s official media, Amad has talked about how much he’s looking forward to playing at Old Trafford and scoring again, this time in front of the fans.
I’d be delighted to play there again. I can’t wait to play and help the team. When I scored against AC Milan, there were no fans there as it was during Covid. The fans are back now, so I hope to score and I hope it’s a winner that I can celebrate with the supporters, because I like celebrating with them.
Having returned from injury, Amad made his first appearance for the club in two years during our recent game against Nottingham Forest.
I was pleased to be back because I was out for so long, it was almost five months. Coming back and playing in that game was really important for me. It was exciting and I hope to keep it up. The coach gave me some instructions. He told me to attack and get into one-on-ones, without forgetting my defensive duties, so I did what he asked and I’m pleased to have returned in that game. I hope the next one will be a win.
