Our lads flew out to South Africa yesterday in anticipation of the Vodacom challenge, where United will be playing the Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates, ready for a rematch against one of these sides in the final.

On Saturday we play our first match, our oppnents the Kaizer Chiefs, who beat us in 2006 to claim the trophy.

Kaizer Motaung Junior is the player to look out for, who is the son of South African legend and Chiefs founder, Kaizer Motaung. The 26-year-old was the club’ highest scorer last season, as well as claiming their goal of the season.

Fergie will be using this tournament to bring about fitness in the first teamers, as well as test out which youngsters will get the chance to feature next season
