Beckham Fan Of Hard Working Rooney And Spectacular Premiership

David Beckham has sung the praises of Wayne Rooney and the Premier League today in an interview with an Italian newspaper.

He believes it is the work ethic of players in our league, like Rooney, which have meant English teams have dominated the Champions League over the past few years.

“Take Rooney, for example,” he said. “He plays 90 minutes without stopping, he attacks and defends, he works for the rest of the team. The British work hard on the pitch, and that brings them success. There’s also the quality of the game – The Premier League is the most popular and most spectacular in the world.”
