Dimitar Berbatov has again dismissed rumours linking him with a move away from the club this summer.

The media and fans weren’t impressed with Berbatov’s 12 goals and 7 assists in 24 starts this season, leading to reports that AC Milan were keen to lure him to Italy.

But Berbatov insists he doesn’t want to leave the best team in the world.

“My goal is to remain with United, the best team in the world, and to see out my contract with the club,” said Berbatov. “I know I have the qualities to do so. By joining Manchester United I have achieved everything I wanted. I want to ask why every second question I get is about where I am going next year. I wonder why the media don’t wish me luck for my next year with United, but ask me where I am going.”
