Dimitar Berbatov has been voted Bulgarian Footballer of the Year for the 7th time (2002, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010) but has asked for people to stop voting for him so one of the younger players can win the award.
“I prefer to see some of the younger lads winning the award. Please, don’t vote for me anymore.”
