Lucio, who has won the World Cup, the European Cup, as well as the league title in Italy and Germany, has today tipped Dimitar Berbatov to win the Ballon d’Or.
“With the natural ability that guy has with a football we could be talking about him being the world player of the year this season,” said Lucio. “I’ve played with Kaka, Ronaldinho, Wesley Sneijder – and Berbatov is as naturally gifted as any of them. It took him time to adjust at Manchester United but, once he did, I was always confident he would hit this sort of form. I think we have just started to see the best from him. He is now entering his peak years and I am sure he will get better and better with every game this season.”
