“I’m pleased we’ve managed to swindle United out of a few bob as they’ve had to pay over the odds for Berbatov,” he added. Have we? Or have we just paid Tottenham’s asking price? Again, bitter blue Gallagher is blinded by his hatred of United.
However, he’s not entirely senseless, recognising that Cristiano Ronaldo would never sign for them and the only reason why Robinho would sign for City is the money. “I can only assume they’ve offered Robinho a fortune because there is no other reason he’d come to City!”
As for Ronaldo? “The last place in the world he is going to come to is here!”
