Ahead of the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace on Saturday, Daley Blind has talked about his desire to win the competition.
United booked their place in the final in dramatic fashion when Anthony Martial scored an injury time winner against Everton, which provoked the players to jump in to the crowd and celebrate, which Blind had never done before.
You can see the number of teams from lower leagues who make surprises in it. It’s always a different game and a different feeling when you go to an away ground in the cup. It’s amazing to see and experience. It’s special that we have been all the way and reached the final.
You see how happy we were and how we celebrated with the fans after the goal from Anthony against Everton in the semi-final. It was an amazing feeling to have a moment like that with the crowd that I never had before with the fans so close. It was very special. In the moment, you don’t realise what you are doing! Then you see the pictures afterwards and you see the emotion you felt. There are no words needed, the pictures say it all.
