I was one of the lucky 73,000+ at Old Trafford last night to watch our pre-season friendly against Inter. I don’t mean lucky because we got to see a great game of football, because we didn’t, but it was so good to see the lads again. I’ve missed watching them this summer more than ever before, so it really was great to see them out there again, and to sing “Stand up for the Champions.”
Not the result we would have wanted, but following their two dubious goals, it’s nothing to get bent out of shape over. Defensively we looked pretty shocking, but on the attack we looked terrifying. I cannot wait for the season to begin.
