Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic has admitted that his team should not have been awarded a penalty against Manchester United.
“I find the penalty for Chelsea very dubious,” said Ivanovic. “It was too easily adjudged, I have to admit that after seeing it again. I thought it was a penalty when Zhirkov fell but, afterwards, I saw it never was.”
United should have had a first half penalty after John Terry blocked a shot from Nani with his arm. Chelsea’s David Luiz also should have been sent off after making three yellow worthy offences.
