The world will be watching tomorrow. Everyone wants to see how the atmosphere will be at OT following these news. What I would like to see is an AMAZING atmosphere where the Stretford End will support the team and SAF in particular. Forget Rooney. We're bigger than him and since he's behaving like the scouser he is....we should forget about him tomorrow night.

I think it is immensly important how the fans will react to this and show everyone what kind of club we are. So since I'm based in Iceland and won't be in the stands tomorrow I beg of you who will be there....MAKE US PROUD!

What's the average age on here? 13? Slagging rooney off when not one of ye heard his side of the story. C'mon really? Laughing there at some of the posts one guy says forget rooney we have chicharito "the fastest player in the premier league" and he being deadly serious!! Look at our managers history with big name players Stam Beckham RVN Keane. I'll wait till rooney comes out and gives his reasons. But we are in serious trouble now our one world class player is wanting out, a couple of year ago we had tevez ronaldo and rooney (we won a european cup) now we'll have berbatov owen macheda and chicharito (we can't out score WBA at home) our team has been in rapid decline for the last two years i've said it before not one of our midfield (ok prob nani) would get on citys chelsea arsenals or even spurs team. And all this has been put forward as to why rooney wants out AMBITION!!

The only person to blame here is Rooney himself ! Greed , lack of moral fibre , immaturity all playing a part in this saga . We are United and as in the past some one will step up and replace him. This fellah will F*** up again and at least we will no be footing the wage bill . I thank him like ronaldo for his time with us . Again the king is dead long live the king !

Speaking after Real's 2-0 win over AC Milan in the Champions League tonight, Mourinho told Sky Sports News: "He will stay. He probably wants to leave for some reason but I believe he belongs to Man United, he belongs to Man United fans, he belongs to Old Trafford. I believe he is going to stay.

"But if at the end of the day Man United decide that he is to leave, then give me a call."

Mourinho admitted he would not be alone in a bidding war if Rooney is put on the market.

"Everybody will be interested," he said.

"But I like him, I like Sir Alex, I like Man United and I believe the best thing for him is to stay there for life."

Rooney lost the right to any doubt when he proved what a cunt he was to his pregnant wife. Fergie has spoken, thats good enough for me because through it all he's done right by United. Couldn't give a fuck about Rooney's "reasons" to be honest, he can do one.

I think if Wayne has decided to leave then we should respect that and move on. He's been a great player for us and getting bitter about it is pointless. Chants like this one just create a bad atmosphere and doesn't help the other players. We should just accept that he's leaving and wish him well and get on with things.

Agree with others that We'll Never Die would be the perfect chant to sing - unfortunately I think there's more chance of "Fergie, Sign Him Up" - maybe I'm underestimating the OT crowd, but considering tickets for tonight were on general sale we could have a lot of very casual fans.

is this REALLY necessary guys. at least let the guy tell his side of the story. if he truly has been frustrated by lack of investment in the club well then dusn surprise me, worldclass players want to play with other worldclass players. united currently have probably 1 in vidic, and an ageing/inconsistent scholes. he's a brat no doubt but chants like these are below what i believe a man united fan to be, and i will not resort to this. i maybe i alone, but i will stand strong

When I heard this it was like a dagger through the heart. I was and still am gutted. If he's leaving because of the media intrusion etc. and goes abroad, then maybe I can understand. However if he goes to chelsea or city, then he can eff off.

I totally agree with the 'Fergie' and 'We'll Never Die' chants. Sends a more relevant (and mature) message.
Hope Hernandez/Berba shine tonight and prove that life without Rooney isnt as bad as everyone's making out. Thanks Wayne for everything but ANYWHERE you go will be a step down so i hope you can look back on your decision and be happy with it (i doubt it however). For us, though, life goes on - Chicho, Kiko etc - This is your chance.........

Will he or won't he? That is the question. But I do believe if he is to change his mind as Jan approaches poor and abusive chants and booing will certainly make his mind up to definitely leave.
I think all of this stems from his agent and smacks of tapping up. Hopefully he will see what kind of future he has away from OT and make the right decision to stay.

Rooney leaving us, well, i'm not suprised as the glazers have F**ked up our club. That aside, all of the media are jumping on the bandwagon SAF hasn't got it anymore, the league has moved on, short memories - Stam,Beckham,Keane,RVN,Ronaldo and now Rooney, WE WILL NOT FALL APART, yes rooney is an important player in the team but it is a team (he is not the only player) and judging by his displays this year which, incidentally are all his own fault because HE decided to F**k around and can't take the pressure, and when SAF tried to "protect" him this is what his return gesture is F**K u all i'm better than that. Well home truths time You're not, you're no messi, ronaldo,villa,drogba and laughably this season bent, cahill,elmander. So if u must go then go we will still win trophies while u are sitting on the bench at chelski or the noisy neighbours, and if you're lucky then u might get in the reserves at Real or Barca. Unlike you're wife we have wised up to u, we don't need u we'll still be great without u, you're wife is a minor celeb without u but WE ARE UNITED!!!

Believe me there is no one who hates utd more than me but twice in 2 weeks now i have found myself siding with utd. the first is when my beloved Liverpool went through the sale and finally got sorted out , and for as much as i hate you lot I'd rather you not be owned by greedy American b@stards .. and then today for that greedy tw@t Rooney . Chelsea and Citeh are ruining football by the way they pour money into winning things ... i really hope Liverpool don't start buying success . there league titles and European cups(if that ever happens) will never mean as much as lpool or utd's carling cup wins ..... we as football fans should fight this . id even support ur green and gold until the glazers have gone .

Rooney Signs for 5 yrs, first of all i have to say ALL HAIL SAF, well played, Rooney has to prove that his heart is still in manchester united. Haha Now Tevez Can F**k UP!! citeh are kicking themselves, money can't buy everything. This was a shocker for me i had given up the ghost wayne was leaving, i really hope this pushes him on to perform, his life is finally sorted out, his wife took him back, his contract is sorted, he has no worries, he is a great player (when he wants to be) LETS SEE THE FIRE AGAIN!!! Now all we need to do is get rid of the F**king GLAZERS. But for now this'll do.
