Chicharito: I'll Pay My Debt To Fergie

Javier Hernandez was relatively unknown in world football before signing for Manchester United.

At the World Cup, Chicharito exploded on to the scene, scoring against Argentina and France, and being named the fastest player at the competition. Thankfully, United had already put their faith in him and signed him. Had we left the deal until after the World Cup he would have had plenty of European clubs interested in him.

Chicharito has become the first United player since Ruud van Nistelrooy to score 20 goals in his debut season and has therefore attracted interest from elsewhere. Barcelona’s Lionel Messi was singing his praises ahead of the European Cup final whilst reports this week claim Jose Mourinho wants to take him to Real Madrid.

However, our young Mexican striker has committed his future to the club, claiming he owes the manager and United a lot for bringing him to the club.

“I’m very motivated after a great season with United,” said Chicharito. “From now on I’ll owe a great debt to Sir Alex for bringing me to Europe. My dream has not changed. I want to win many titles to give back to the team that opened the doors for me.”
