Manchester City boss, Roberto Mancini, revealed that he was interested in signing Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli this summer.
“We are always interested in good players,” Mancini said in reference to the 19-year-old. “If Inter decide to sell, we will be there.”
The striker who scored and assisted a total of 19 goals in Italy last season has revealed that he is flattered to be linked with a move away from the club, specifically naming United as a great club.
“Roberto Mancini? He’s a great coach, I debuted in Serie A with him because he is a great friend,” he said. “If he and Ferguson want me, it means I’m not as bad as I thought. United is a great club. They have not seen the real Balotelli, for sure I need to learn and achieve more goals. I want to win the Golden Ball in 2011. As for the future, I always say I don’t know.”
