After finishing 2020 with a dramatic injury-time win over Wolves, Manchester United look to start 2021 positively as we take on Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

Fred and Scott McTominay return to the starting line-up after being rested during the week. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer clearly recognises the threat that Villa pose, a side that put seven goals past Liverpool earlier this season, and is seeking a more solid midfield. Edinson Cavani is serving a three-match ban so is unavailable but Anthony Martial returns to the starting line-up in his place.

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw, Fred, McTominay, Pogba, Fernandes, Rashford, Martial.
Subs: Henderson, Telles, Tuanzebe, James, Lingard, Mata, Matic, Van de Beek, Greenwood.

Villa: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett, Luiz, McGinn, Grealish, Traore, El Ghazi, Watkins.
