I agree, it seems strange that other managers can turn things around a lot quicker than us.

Take the "L" team, Chelsea, and Man City as examples.

And yet we need three seasons of "transition" and have to spend a fortune .

It might all be different next season, but we will have to wait and see .

I had high hopes of Maureen, but suddenly he seems lost and very outdated .

Also, I said it before, I do not think being in the Europa League has been beneficial in any way. It is a very long slog with very little reward in that competition

Of course we should never throw the towel in, but that is what the team seems to lack, backbone, and a leader. perhaps Bailly will take that mantle .

It is like history repeating itself after Sir Matt retired, it might take us at lot longer to get back on track than anticipated .

It might sound dramatic, but we're not very far off the relegation zone, and we are dropping points like no ones business .

Talking of De ja vu , I hope we don't get too complacent , and start thinking along the same lines as the 73/74 team.

The simple truth is that at the moment we are just not very good, and this has to be remedied rapidly

Speaking of punching bags, Jones has done really well since coming in. He looked up for it yesterday and did really well, here's hoping he continues. It seems defenders are taking to Jose because they've mostly been very good even the ones we all thought were on the way out

Agreed on that, also people keep asking why it takes so much for us to adapt than other teams do. I guess I have thoroughly answered that question in my previous post in this thread. One thing for sure no one can guarantee whether a different manager or player could do anything different and i dont buy the argument that say X manager, be it Klopp or Pepp ..etc is more united fit. As i said the task is titanic and immense, its like trying to fix a jigsaw puzzle that has been shot from a roof of a house and over 2mllions pieace. I am not pessimistoc about all this and I am sure things will takes natural course but will be postponed for some years may be or longer.

Mirain,rashford and martial have not been played in their best positions,so what are you trying to say. Give each player equal chance play them as strikers they will be better than zlatan. Zlatan have been average. Please tell me how many times zlatan have put in a very good performance? We stop playing fellaini and rooney,our midfield started playing better. Lets stop playing zlatan and see what will happen

Zlatan has never put in a good performance in his life. He scores goals.

I do agree though and think other options should be looked at not least of all Rooney playing up front.

Bon,

I would like to see Rashford start more as centre forward, even if it's just in the Europa League, or league cup .

As I said earlier, Martial has had off field problems, and I think he needs time to sort these out .

People tend to forget that both Rashford and Martial are very young players, both made a dynamic start to their first team careers at United, obviously this form could not be maintained, and quite often younger players find it harder to accept and adapt when things go wrong .

But as you said, playing them out of position hasn't helped .

I agree about Zlatan. The alternative cost of having him up front is too high. Even though he offers some things like hold up play, he is not good enough in other dimensions. And our whole attacking play suffers as a result.

We can compare him to Fellaini. Fellaini was actually brilliant at some aspects of his game when he was regular starter earlier in the season. Especially his break-up play. But the team as a whole lost fluidity in the build-up play when he was playing. He was too slow and clumsy with his passing. And so the net effect of having Fellaini starting was actually negative.

At the end of the day, the buck stops with him. I'm not saying it's all anyone's failings, it's a team sport so they all share the success and failure, however the manager is the captain of the "ship", it's his choices and decisions that have got United where we are today.
