Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from the midweek defeat in the Champions League with a positive result against West Ham this afternoon.

Jesse Lingard, whose mistake saw Young Boys score a late winner on Tuesday night, will be eager to get on the pitch and impress at a stadium where he had plenty of success last season on loan. Reports suggested he was set to join West Ham on a permanent basis in the summer but has stayed at United, although is yet to sign a new contract with less than a year remaining on his current deal.

United will be looking to capitalise on Manchester City’s 0-0 draw against Southampton yesterday, with just one shot on target over the 90 minutes, and leapfrog our rivals with a win today.
