Manchester United beat Brighton on penalties on Sunday evening to book our place in the FA Cup final against rivals Manchester City.

Playing just three days after an away trip to Spain, while Brighton had the benefit of eight days off, we took the game to extra time before Victor Lindelof scored the decisive penalty in sudden death.

David de Gea had faith in his teammate’s ability to score and spoke to MUTV after the game about how he knew we would be going to the final after Solly March’s miss.

To be honest, I was very convinced, as soon as they missed the penalty. I saw Victor taking the ball, I said we ‘we won, we won,’ because he has ice in the veins. He’s so quality with the ball. He did it, he did it! Victor’s not been playing so much this season and he played really well again. For me, he’s a great, great centre-back. He’s always there for the team.
