Manchester City fans have been less giddy recently, following the madness that was the transfer deadline day in the summer. Their club became the richest in the World and were dropping bids for the best players all over the World. Robinho was the only one they could lure away, given that he was so desperate to leave Real Madrid and wasn’t allowed to join Chelsea.
Still, that didn’t stop them from going a bit mental with the transfer rumours. They honestly believed they could bring in the best players in the World simply because they had money. One lad even got ‘Kaka’ tattooed to his chest!
Then they started a petition to keep Cristiano Ronaldo away from their club. Seriously. They really believed they could get him to sign but they really didn’t want him to.
Looks like someone didn’t get the memo though.
