Patrick Dorgu was on the scoresheet in Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Bournemouth in the most recent pre-season game.

Speaking to the club’s official site after the game, Dorgu discussed how good it felt to contribute to the win and reckons performances are improving all the time with more opportunities to adopt Ruben Amorim’s ideas.

It felt good. It was good to help the team out there and it was good to get the win, we just keep improving and look forward to the season. It was good to see the fans were still there even thought the weather conditions were not so good. It was good that the team gave a good performance for the fans.

I feel like the pre-season is helping everyone to understand Ruben’s ideas even more. The more training we have, the more we will grow into his ideas and I feel like it is being seen a little bit on the pitch already. We just keep improving.

Rasmus Hojlund was on the scoresheet after eight minutes and Dorgu claimed the assist. The defender spoke about his happiness to see his compatriot get a goal.

It was good to see him score again and hopefully he will score [some] more again in the season. Every game is a chance to improve and be ready for Arsenal. Every game is important and we will just take it game by game.
