Falcao: I hope I’m at United for many years - Republik Of Mancunia: A Manchester United Blog

Radamel Falcao scored his first Manchester United goal today to give us all three points in a 2-1 win over Everton. He managed to put United ahead a little over five minutes after Everton drew level.

This was his first goal for the club after joining on loan on the final day of the transfer window and he has admitted he is relieved to get it out of the way.

“All strikers need goals, and for me there was a little bit of relief to score my first goal,” he told MUTV. “I hope to score many in the future. It was amazing that my first goal was at Old Trafford, I enjoyed it with all the fans and I want to say thank you to God, my team mates, all the staff and the coaches.”

United have the option to sign Falcao permanently at the end of this season which is a prospect the striker would clearly enjoy.

“Me and my family are happy here, and we would like to stay for many years at Manchester United.”

ahh can you feel the fourth?! it has such a warm cradling securing glow we haven't felt in some time! Didn't take long to over take the likes of Arsenal Liverpool Tottenham Everton. ha! First "big game" first big win! Dave Saves! Costa is a killer, Falcao is a tiger. Killers get put in jail.

Happy for the guy. He certainly deserved to score and looked like he will since he is here. I'm sure it will be a boost of confidence for him . I like strikers who scored when it matters. No doubt his goal was very important in terms of points and self-confidence, not just for him but the team.

Special mention to De Gea who in my eyes is the best stopper on the planet. Maybe not goalkeeper but shoot stopper for sure ! Hope we can keep him until he retires, he can only get better !

I like our fullbacks : Rafa is a beast (Hope he stays fit, he really adds another dimension on the right flank and our general play) and Shaw looks promising, he is solid and can pass players (30millions is not expansive nowdays for a player of his potential)

After all the stupid comments from the press about how we lost our souls and not blood young players anymore, I think Van Gaal policy is really promising.
Instead of playing players out of position, he really gives the youth a chance. I just loved that he brought Wilson and Blackett at the end. The lads must feel like they are really a part of the team, when you throw them in at the end of an important game. Maybe it will backfire sometimes in terms of getting a result but it is a much better policy on the long term as the experience is what they need if they want to become one day regulars.

Delighted for Falcao but I don't think him and RVP compliment each other very well at all. I'd love to see falcao play as the main striker to see how he does.
