Sir Alex Ferguson is currently in the USA promoting Manchester United’s pre-season tour and has been asked about Javier Hernandez’s progress.
The manager is full of praise for the youngster but is mindful of keeping him fresh and not burning him out.
“Javier has had a fantastic season,” Ferguson said. “We are just keeping an eye on him because he played in the World Cup last year and this is his first season in the Premier League. We are trying to keep him as fresh as we possibly can for the important games we have coming up.”
