Things weren’t looking good for Manchester United at half-time against Blackpool, with the score 2-0 to the opposition. We were a different team in the second half though and Darren Fletcher has credited Sir Alex Ferguson with the turnaround.

“We were desperate to get back out for the second half and try to put things right. The performance level had to come up and everyone responded,” added Fletcher. “It is definitely up there with the other comebacks. The manager made us believe we could still do it. He inspires us and gets us going. Hopefully we look back upon the Blackpool win as being an important moment in our season.”
