It was confirmed this evening that Timothy Fosu-Mensah has joined Fulham on a season-long loan. The defender spent last season with Crystal Palace and should get more playing time at Fulham than he would with Manchester United.
I have a good feeling about the club. It has a nice history, it’s a nice club. Fulham has a lot of good players, and it’s good for my development to be here. I spoke to the manager and he gave me a good feeling. I’m happy to be here and I want to keep progressing.
While in the long run this is probably the best move for the player, after United failed to add any more defenders to their squad today, it’s a shame to be losing a bright prospect for a year. Matteo Darmian will likely start at right-back until Antonio Valencia or Diogo Dalot return from injury, which isn’t ideal.
Good luck, Tim.
