Manchester United beat Norwich 3-2 yesterday and while Cristiano Ronaldo may rightly grab the headlines, following his second hattrick in three games, it is worth acknowledging the impressive protest put on by the home fans.
Organised by fan group The 1958, supporters congregated at the Toll Gate pub and from 2pm thousands of supporters made the journey to Old Trafford with chants, flags and flares.

Hundreds of fans remained outside the stadium for the first 17 minutes, celebrating Ronaldo’s opening goal from outside, before bringing the protest inside.
Throughout the game, regardless of the scoreline, anti-Glazer chants were sung, with the ground getting to their feet on a number of occasions to join in with the “stand up if you hate Glazer” song.
