The time is almost upon Man Utd fans to get ready and enjoy the new season. Although the high of making history in the Euros will likely have you riding high – it’s time to get focused!

With the new season just around the corner, it’s time to get excited about the chance of surpassing last year’s performance and progress in the Champions League. Even though the opening match against Everton is still a couple of weeks away, here are a couple of things that you can do to fill up the time:

Rewatch

Thanks to the internet, there is no shortage of goals and trick replays you can watch. If you’re really lucky, you have them taped and can get the tape out and relive the moment.

After all, there have been more than a few bangers when it comes to matches.

Here are a couple that are worth a rewatch:

  • 2013 Man Utd v Real Madrid
  • 2010 Man Utd V Man City
  • 2007 Man Utd V Roma (when the goals just kept coming)
  • 1997 Man Utd V Porto
  • 1958 Man Utd V AC Milan
  • 1957 Man Utd V Real Madrid

Or you can head to YouTube and look for the best goal compilations for your favourite players over the years. Not sure where to start?

Here are some of the best goals of all time:

  • George Best V Sheffield United 1971
  • Mark Hughes V Oldham Athletic 1994
  • Eric Cantona V Sutherland 1996
  • David Beckham V Wimbledon 1996
  • Cristiano Ronaldo V FC Porto 2009

There is a lot to choose from, so you won’t run out of golden moments to get you ready.

Watch More…

For those who haven’t already dipped into the very many different movies and documentaries that surround Man Utd, now is the perfect time. Some of them are more highly rated than others – but all are worth a watch for a true fan who likes to know the ins and outs of the club on the pitch and off.

  • Rooney – a look at his meteoric career, from his debut at 16 to modern day.
  • The United Way – Plenty of unseen footage delving into the history of the club.
  • Best – Covering the life of the legendary George Best, and if you can’t get enough of George, watch George Best: All by Himself too.
  • Life of Ryan: Caretaker Manager – Giggs has had a remarkable life and a significant impact on the club from pitch to bench; with unprecedented access, this docu-film is one to watch.
  • Looking for Eric – Eric, a postman who has a messy life, looks for help and finds it in Cantona (who is famously philosophical).

Gaming

While keeping up with all the transfer news and catching up on some movies will take up time in the next few weeks with ease – gaming is a great way to pass the time too. You can crack out your old favourites like FIFA 23 or go retro with the Manchester United game that was released in the 90s. Who doesn’t love a 16-bit version?

For flat-out good football games, then Football Manager 2023, eFootball 2023, and FIFA Mobile are great options. But if you want to throw in some other options, then poker is a great way to pass the time, or the slots Football Champion Cup, Gates of Olympus, or Big Bad Wolf.

Gaming sessions pass plenty of time, and you can pause to tune into breaking news as you play!

Transfers

As well as reliving the golden moments and watching some docu-films, keeping a keen eye on the transfers is a must. The rumour mill around transfers is always on fire; there are a few confirmed exits like De Gea and Elanga and the exciting transfer agreement with Rasmus Hojlund, even though Paris Saint-Germain put in a financial package offer that was larger.

A recent signing of Andre Onana from Inter Milan for five years, with the option to extend. Onana joins the new summer signings, including Mason Mount, Jonny Evans, Alex Telles, and Eric Bailly.

Wardrobe Update

The official release of the new kit happened just a few weeks ago, and if you haven’t got your hands on one yet – now is the perfect time to get one. If a kit shirt isn’t your style, the new Man U Adidas D4GMDY Travel Hoodie in Green is top-notch.

With just a few weeks before the action gets under way there are plenty of ways to fill up your time.
