Perhaps you should open your eyes you utter retard. I post on other subjects too and I'm getting sick and tired of you and others constantly trying to belittle me with assertions that I'm some kind of Glazer plant.

As I have said on here consistently for the many years I have been on here if people don't like the Glazers then fine BUT this constant need to demonise them by twisting figures, not looking past headlines and not looking at things in context is just ridicioulous. If they are that bad then what's the need to act like tabloid journalists as surely the facts are enough. Then as fans we can heave a reasonable discussion rather than one built on ridiculous claims like "250k spent a day servicing the debt". Ofc certainly from MUST's pov they want the headline grabbing twisting of the truth as the Daily Mail shows people get up in arms more when you can use exagerations to push an agenda

As I have said before I don't think the Glazers are perfect but while people are buying the exagerations stories even someone who is slightly anti Glazer ends up looking like a massive Glazer fan

Wakey can fight his own battles but I will say this. Even I though I have strongly disagreed with a lot of what he's said in regards to the glazers he offers the "Devils Advocate" view of them which is needed on here otherwise it just turns into a glazer bashfest. If you don't like the finance stuff thats fine, but I find that shit interesting and also useful on a personal level. Any loophole to dodge tax is a good loophole in my eyes.

We all want them out but they aren't going to go so we have to look at the realistic situation. Unfortunately many reluctantly don't.

@ Fletch - To add to DannySoyas comment about Whelan. He also said I think it was in 2007 or 2008 how he almost bought the club but didn't because he then realised that all the scousers wouldn't buy his gear anymore. This was in the early 90s round the Knighton time. I cann see why though he wouldn't have sold half as many shellsuits if he bought the club in the 90s!!!!

Fred - Not bad mate, same old same old :) Forest life is a bit dull and I've had to cut back on the logging so have turned my attention to securing the fracking rights. You can't go wrong with a bit of fracking, especially in dikes.

MUST The Red Knights were open and advocated without prejudice for Manchester United to be run into the ground so that it could be saved from the Glazers.

Sorry - I for one in my younger years was seriously against The Glazer's and was an avid supporter of MUST - but then they started speaking and what they said was absolute fucking diabolical.

Of course in my day I also debated about taking United over myself :lol: But hey I was never given a sugar Arab spoon like some next door cough cough ;)

The point is Wakey's points are very balanced and without balance their is fuck all to base a judgment from.

No one is happy with what The Glazer's have done - but they have done it and leveraged debt to achieve means - one could argue we have suffered with not signing more players but then looking at it from the other point SAF has always been left to his own devices to do whatever he wants to do on the pitch and the determination to do it all by himself.

Now of course even I've said that we've needed someone extra special for the midfield for years and SAF hasn't delivered that - so the buck stops with the gaffer and although we may be pissed off we have to trust his bigger judgement.

Which leads me to this point - this club is more than a billionaires play toy. On it's own it's strong enough to survive being blessed with fans from every corner of the world - one cannot deny the efforts of the Glazer's to increase revenue through commercial means - they started early and now it seems to be growing into a juggernaut of sorts.

We have struggled this year but any fan worth his milk would have got that we were always in transition. The sole loss of the premiership even CL disqualification is in parts at United holding onto pressure - a first time for that at the wrong time - so subsequently we hope that this would be a lesson learnt.

What is also unfair is that we have always given United time to rebuild and come back - and younger fans have to learn to understand this - the constant arguing and bickering to do otherwise is against United principle and United way of life.

In conclusion to this epic masterpiece writing of mine :lol: If the Glazer's were the robots that everyone claimed them to be then OT would have been sold off to Google or Facebook for a stadium naming and the whole structure of United would have been dismantled in order for the Glazer's to asset strip and fuck off when they were done with us

The truth is in business this shit goes down - the fact that they have found ways to pay that debt off is the first thing. Secondly they continue to build United all over the world and we are benefitting here without doubt.

None of these things can be taken away because they have linked everything to United - if they so wish they can one day sell United for a price where someone will have to clearly pay knowing that things are in place where United will continue to grow and grow.

It's hard to say what I've said because it still hurts but I'm not a Glazer lover either.

Yet no matter how it is to stomach the way debt was slapped onto this club and read me correctly and don't fuck with me:

Any one who says that Manchester United has to fall - especially United fans for it to rise is without doubt out of the question.

I will not see my team be run into the ground for others to profit. That constitutes wrong and is immoral.

MUST and The Red Knights were clearly on the wavelength that I believe is evil.

You were the one who decided to use the headline figure that all the papers used as a basis for a post not me. Every single paper that I read the story in detailed exactly what that so called 'Debt servicing' was made up on so it's a fair assumption that anyone using the figure hasn't got much past the headline.

If you have read and know what the 250k A day was made up of then why did you even bring it up?

And my last post wasn't really aimed at you, I know I mentioned the 250k issue but that's simply because its the most recent subject being used as propaganda to try and drive the anti Glazer sentiment. You atleast debate which I don't mind it's people like xol who pop up and basically imply I'm a Glazer employee. That's what I hate and it actually was part of the reason I posted less on all subjects this season.

Nice post.

And I agree about MUST. I initially supported their fight but towards the end they did get ridicioulous in their actions. There's a difference between fighting a cause and trying to whip up hysteria and a hate mob and that's how it started to feel. And then after the takeover went through they have just continued to pour fuel on the fire.

And the Red Knight situation really did show their true intentions. MUST's leadership want to be running the club IMHO and will do anything to try and achieve this as we saw with the way they tried to sell the fans out with the Red Knights just so they could have a Golden Share. Like you I believe that MUST are worse than the Glazers as they seem to be trying to use fans to make a power grab and not formthenfans benefit either

Hello mate - it was a collective MUST The Red Knights mantra asking the fans to stop going stop buying things to make it hard for the Glazer's to carry on - they were clear in the fact that if we stopped our support for United the Glazer's would have no choice but sell up

I am angry at everyone - no one should get away with it - we are in a situation 7 years on of not our making - the only hope is that the debt is nearly half way down to how it started - and it should be cleared with us looking to a new kit deal in the coming years and obvious commercial growth.

As a supporter I'm just trying to find peace in the middle of a very bad deal - in my opinion we can't win any which way we turn - this would also be the case if were taken over by let's say Arabs Russians and Chinese

It would also be the case with MUST and Red Knights - hand on hearts here - only a few if we could run United like a passion - the rest of us would run it for a profit - what I'm also saying is that MUST and The Red Knights also had an agenda of there own - no doubt if they were able to take over United - there debt to be paid off would have handsomely resulted in increased wage packets.

I guarantee that - is the Glazer's way the lesser of an evil? I don't know - it's business isn't it - things which most of us are not accumulated and accustomed to.

We are just fans wanting the best for United - we all need balance though to get through this - they are still here the Glazer's and are not going away - so my assumption is that they will after all these years not do what many had thought

Bitter pill to swallow yes but we will have to swallow it.

Unless any one out there has a better idea.

I just have to say that I agree on Wakey on this point - I am saying quite clearly that I supported MUST and The Red Knights but once they got into it it never made any sense.

Manchester United is a cash cow and a money making machine - MUST and The Red Knights would have made enough by now for themselves - but who knows if they would have made a commercial division? Who knows if they had succeeded in devaluing a prestigious brand, where the support and money would have come from then?

When I ask myself these questions - I find it hard to stomach what they were asking Manchester United fans to do. Up until a point of sincerity and honesty it was fine to back them - when the bullshit started - I as a fan cannot buy into anything other than United can't die for the benefit of the few.

The Glazer's business plan has been hard to stomach - but we are all here and it won' fail now after so many years in the making.

A true fan even ones that hate the Glazer's can accept such terms - the only thing now is that we carry on and build up.

Fair play mate, im not trying to be a cunt about it and happy to debate on the issue sensibly. I thought your latter post was aimed at me.

To be honest my initial point in this thread was to steer away from using city and their cash to mask our own failings. We should have comfortably won the league this year and its our own fault we didn't. Nativity against Wigan and everton, horrendous team selection from the derby pissed it away.

I also don't care for MUST its just about them now they don't give a fuck about supporters anymore.

I don't think anyone thinks we didn't ultimately throw it away but that doesn't mean some clubs like City and Chelsea aren't taking shortcuts while many others are spending too much to stay Competative.

I personally don't see FFP working, no matter what people,say Plattini has already publically backed down from his previous stance of European bans to talking about fines and the likes BUT something does need to be done and all football fans should be in support of it.

Even if it was United being funded by a Sugar Daddy or spending beyond our means I would have an issue with it as no clubs bigger than the game so we can't just let a few Billionaires who want a play thing destroy it for everyone.
