Yeah, he could whine. But he was a great player for Man U. Hard to replace.

I know folks are mad with him, but he gave the team many great moments as well.

I suspect his best days, though, are behind him. On a team where they want superstars to be superstars, not team players, I can't see how things will get better for him.

David Staples: I agree, one thing he will not need (as with Bekham) is a bigger cabinet for his medal collection!

I was one who usually defended him because he wore our shirt. Relieved i don't have to any more!
Thanks, ta-ra!
...and thanks for the £68m profit!
Can't wait to see his reaction when those whistles start after his umpteenth free kick has smacked the wall or sailed high over the bar!
It's only just begun Ronnie lad...

actually i'm not too worried about ronaldo leaving,if he actually stayed he wont be playing with his heart on his sleeve like the keane's the rooney's.he may have just been a passenger in our team.good luck to him.we'll get better according to me.berba, rooney will surely come out of thier shell now that ronaldo's gone.fergie knows what he's doing.ronaldo knew all the while that he's gonna move this summer.we'll get better......

ronaldo WAS NOT a legend

he was a great player but nothing more he will never be up there with the likes of Best,Charlton,Robson,Cantona

a move from United is a move down, with Kaka and whatever other pre maddonna's madrid sign he will be out done by there all round skill, he wont be the superstar which will piss him off how long will his tantrums keep him in favour with the madrid crowd? hmmm will be interesting to see how he fair's when he's playing against Barca twice a season facing Messi and Iniesta. (for me Iniesta is better than both Messi and ronaldo).

big mistake ronnie lad, no infact its MASSSIVEEE ;)

Sir Alex said something about rooney and ronaldo about 4 years ago: both players have the talent and ability to be the best players in the world, ronaldo probably won't be with man u forever. Now today ronaldo is heading to madrid. Best of luck mate...don't forget that over the past 3 years all man u players have played for you. Real madrid can't do the same. Thanks for the goals ,the trophies and of course 80 million pounds....you'll always be a legend in our hearts

The kid wants to play elsewhere in better weather and a better city. I'm from Manchester, but it's like most big English cities...a shit hole that's damp and wet. A choice between here and their with allegiances, then it's there I'm afraid.

He's given us great memories. Can we leave this bitter shit to City and Liverfool. Let's just wish him luck and welcome the 80 million. This is the right time, for the right amount of money. He's not done a Bosman, he's left us in a better place than when he arrived both on and off the pitch. His attitude has been wrong this season, but he's also won us crucial ties along the way. Let's not forget the goals he scored to help us win the CL and premiership last season.

Some people like challenges, he's taken one. I can't stand Madrid, i'd prefer he went elsewhere, but them idiots have a habit of imploding. I hope this new galactico era ends in disaster and Barca spank them. BUT i also wish him good luck.

Please let's be honest, with all his kiddish mentality he was by far our best player if not world #1. He is not any different from our other hot tempered players.
For me the good thing about this transfer is the money can bring to top class players to the squad which will let us fill the void left by Tevez and Ronaldo.

i don't know whether it is the appropriate moment for this one. i posted it just for a banter. what's the point? but it doesn't matter. We defended him, we tried to love him, we wanted to make a legend out of him but he didn't want to.
So while you play for the Real Madrid i will hate you in that shirt.
I loved Kaka but there is no way i will love him there.

i just cant wait for the Galacticos II™ era to fall on its arse like the last one did. they need a defence! if figo, ronaldo, zidane, guti, raul and beckham couldnt win them the league and the champions league, why should this new lot? perez is an absolute clown and (you heard it here first) lets get ronny back in a few years after hes realised that he made the biggest mistake of his career.
i would say all the best to him if he'd gone to anyone but "that mob" but it is as it is so lets move on and build our team around the white pele
thanks for the memories

supey: For fucks sake get real, he never was a legend..... decent player but no legend....
To achieve legendary status for United you have to WANT to play for Manchester United.....
not Real Fucking Madrid
After he spoputed off about his dream club he just became another cunt

are those people who are at other clubs who dream of playing for United cunts as well? guys seriously, can't we just thank him for his great run and all the success he helped us too and wish him luck? I for one will miss him, he wasn't perfect but it was probably the first time since the 60's were we actually had the best (second best) player in the world. he did a lot for United and now he's moving to his dream club and thats that, lots of players have moved to United like this so i don't think we should bitch about him like this...

I'm not upset that he's gone, and I wouldn't have been particularly pleased had he stopped. But lets move on - there must be players around the world itching to be playing for UTD. And I'm sure Fergie will spend all the money wisely.
The most disappointing aspect of this is that the Bandidos got their way again.
However hope Gill insists on the money in one payment - none of this part-payment nonsense after they'd said many times that they have the money to sign him.
Incidentally, I'm waiting for Platini to make some comment about a club spending so much money on 2 players when they are said to be about £400million in debt. Get off your fat arse Platini and do something about it.
A club that fails to make an operating profit should not be allowed to play in the CL.

Terrible terrible person. If he had gone with some dignity then it wouldn't be so bad.

I understand its his dream and he comes from that part of the world which is totally fine, however everytime i watch those interviews on sky sports where he says he is staying I just want to hit him.

I will thank him for the memories but as a person he is s**t. He has so many haircuts but they all look like a ball of grease.

"i hope real madrid goes bust and ronaldo comes back to man utd asap"

Get real. UTD wouldn't have him back, nor would the fans.
He's made his bed, now he has to lie on it. For better or worse he's now a RM player, and he has to accept that from now onwards, the fortunes of his new club rest with him along with his new team mates.

I think I regard Beckham a legend.. But Ronnie, far for it... It's hard to explain why, but i just feel that way. Ronnie has some part in our history, but to me he is just another player.

Maybe because of his antics.. Scott's funny picture says it all i think.
