German football magazine, Kicker, have today reported that Shinji Kagawa is set to make the move to Manchester United this week. Borussia Dortmund had wanted £16m but United have apparently agreed a £12m deal with the potential for it to rise to £17m. He only has one year remaining on his current deal which he signed in 2010.

“The transfer is not yet complete,” said Michael Zorc, the club’s director of sport, with Kicker claiming the agreement has been negotiated, but lacks the signatures of the parties involved. Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke said that “both sides want to conclude the deal.”

Eden Hazard confirmed he would be joining Chelsea yesterday and reports today suggest he will cost £32m. He will be paid £170k a week and Chelsea paid his agent an incredible £6m.

Out of interest, in 192 appearances, Hazard has 50 goals and 30 assists compared to Kagawa who, in 198 appearances, has scored 86 goals and 45 assists. Only Franck Ribery created more clear-cut goalscoring opportunities in the Bundesliga this season than Kagawa, with Ribery on 16 and Kagawa on 15.
