One of the bigger shocks for Manchester United fans when the transfer window closed wasn’t which players we hadn’t signed but which players we hadn’t sold or loaned out.

Having brought in David de Gea and Anders Lindegaard, it seemed certain that Tomasz Kuszczak would be on his way out.

The 29-year-old made 10 appearances for the club last season, including a particularly shaky performance on Ewood Park on the day we won the 19th title.

Kuszczak has today claimed that offers did come in for him, with a move to West Brom one of the rumoured possible destinations, but the club would not accept them.

“I am angry and disappointed with the way I am treated,” said Kuszczak. “I had a few good offers. The problem was the club who wanted to sell me for £4 million.”
