Frank Lampard is set to make his 500th appearance for Chelsea tonight but insists this isn’t the end of his career. Even if his trophy haul is nothing like Ryan Giggs’ or Paul Scholes’, he’s hoping to at least keep playing for as long as they have.

“I’m not thinking of the end,” said. “Thirty-two now is not what it was 10 years ago. Hopefully I can perform well into my thirties. The Giggses, Maldinis, Scholeses have all gone on and played well into their later 30s. I would love to be able to do that.”
