Yes performance could and should have been more better but we still managed to score 4 and that's a positive but we have to improve a lot. Anyways had we won against other villa like clubs then we could have been within reach of top 4. We dropped points at home to Fulham and Southampton and lost to Newcastle, Everton, WBA so that's 13 points. We would have been ahead of arsenal . So to say it's just villa is a bit childish as we have already lost some winnable games

Yeah the negativity on here astounds me at times. Just to clarify im of the opinion that Moyes prob isnt the man to lead us forward and id swap him for Klopp today if it was offered but id also be more than happy to be proven wrong by him just as many fans were by Fergie, what matters to me is going to the match with my mates and watching a group of players give their all for the club and its fans, the way some on here carry on it like we're suddenly Arsenal going 9 years with no trophy? Hopefully we'll get some serious reinforcement in the summer and if Moyes is in charge then although I'll be dissapointed with that decision it wont stop me backing the boys on the pitch

If you have been to a match at OT, you will know most fans there are not pro Moyes, but some of the fans sing for him and applaud him even though they want him out. My cousin sits in Stretty and he can't stand Moyes but he just goes with the crowd most of the time, never boos, though he has stopped singing for Moyes as have most fans. The issue I have is people who say Moyes Out but act Moyes In. That's the hypocrisy, if someone really believes in him 100% they are being true. There are a lot of sheep at OT and it has never been the most passionate stadium save on big game days as most ordinary fans can't get in, don't know if you have ever been there but if you have you will know what I mean. Try getting even a positive chant going in most sections of the stadium some games and people act like you are interrupting them reading a book at the library and don't join in. Supporting the team, great. Glad team won, fantastic. But think what this exciting YOUNG (age not Ashley) team could do in the hands of a proper manager.

I think we can dominate for years, look at the talent:

RVP, Rooney, Pea, Welbeck
Januzaj, Kagawa, Mata
Nani, Zaha (yes I do still rate him), Lingard, Valencia plus new winger
Powell, 2 new box to box MF players
LB SAF bought before he retired, Evans, Jones, Rafael
De Gea.

Some aged team we have, we have a great team, its just not being given a chance.

Yes o@ash the m ighty king. this coming from a person who has never been to old Trafford or UK to the person who doesn't know how many counties exist in the UK and wont know how to pronounce shire. Dude to think that only match going fans have the right to voice their opinions and know anything about football is absolutely shit.

And you decide where you are, at times you call people plastic and support moyes and 5 mins later you have a post against him.

Atleast I know where I stand. I want that wrong one out. I enjoyed the game today. I know we were shit at the back but we were pretty good in attack.

And yes it pisses me when people who want their club to win are called plastics but some idiots who are happy with mediocrity and people par performance call themselves fans.

@ shaan - bang on about @ash - and the way overseas fans views get treated like shit. People forget United is entirely dependent on overseas fans to survive financially and just because people don't/can't attend games does not make them less fans, In fact, I have more respect for an overseas fan who pays through the teeth to come to OT once in a life time than half the silent corporate brigade in OT. Match going fans enjoy watching great players paid for by the income generated by overseas fans who are the reason for all our sponsorship deals, no one should forget that, Rooney's salary and Mata are not paid for by season ticket holders.

Man utd have finally become a mid-table team. Thanks to moyes and his fans..we might remain a mid-table team far longer than the scousers did. One thing I know for sure is that moyes is not good for us..he's not a winner and lacks winning mentality, we are in a deeper mess than I ever imagined. Big teams will always embarass us under moyes and his clown coaching crew.smh

AntiScouser :

I agree, no point in being negative. We know we are up against it, and Bayern are a superb side .

But we are in the last eight, and won;t be taken lightly, and the only certain thing in football is the uncertainty.

We live in hope, otherwise what is the point ?

@ Anti-Scouser - you are right. Moyes was great, this was a tactical master piece, Young is definately our best winger, only Moyes can see that which is why he is a football genius, we will not just try to make it hard for Bayern we will aspire to be like City when playing Bayern, even though SAF could not do better than 7th with this team, Moyes is doing the right job, we should back Moyes because he is the best manager for United and he has a vision we will find out about in 6 years.

Guys I don't think any of us are against Man Utd and our players, we are (at least I am) against the man who has no creativity. He says we aspire to be like shity wherein they always aspired to be like us.

I want him out no matter what. He doesn't instill belief in the fans and the players that we can win.

Either he shows some progress or he leaves it is simple as that.

And I called people clapping and cheering for him as hypocrites because if you don't boo him and shoo him then at least don't cheer him. It goes the board an unwanted ammunition that fans are with Moyes which is absolutely wrong.

Let me just I am really happy Kagawa played and showed he should always be playing, But he has done this before and been benched, I love the guy, it gutting to see how few chances he gets while players like Young and Cleverly, Fellani, get chance after chance.

Kagawa Rooney and Mata had a good game. Januzaj, there no superlatives to describe this boy confidence and potential. Have to take real good care of him. Would have loved to see Nani came in for Young after the 3rd goal. Good game but defensively we still have a lot to do. Lucky that Benteke missed at least 2 clear chances. Bayern's froward would have punished us. We need to work on our defensive positioning. Benteke managed to get on good scoring area few times due to lack of focus from our defenders.

Rafael has been really clumsy since coming back from his injury. We need him at his best against Bayern.

You don't know about me in person so why bother about my whereabouts . Did I say only those who go to match day are true fans, see I never said but you decide to say lies just to make your point strong, I like your views and respect your opinion but the last comment was uncalled for. I am not supportive of moyes but I hate the idea that all I hear is moyes out, moyes clown etc etc and then people come here and call people who go to match day as hypocrite , how can that be true. And one more thing I never said any one plastic so again you resort to lie. I am here to praise the team, nothing to do with manager. Why can't we forget about our manager for day and give credit to the lads , that's all I am asking for. Now if that makes moyes lover then so be it.

@ The_red_devils - I would rather have had Chelsea than Bayern. In fact anyone other than Bayern. This will be a totally new game for Moyes, first time he, round and phil face a team like Bayern. I want to win, but don't expect to, but I definitely do not want a cricket score than goes into the records books. Roma are still humiliated by that 7-1. We need to keep it tight, but we can't sit back against Bayern and park the bus either we have to keep possession, I assume we will play counter attack at OT in a deep sitting 451.

Why can't for a change we debate on our tactics, the players who impressed the most and the way we can improve more. All I see each day is same shit from some. Like I said hate moyes all you want but support our team. It seems moyes hatred is more than the love for our club.

Anyways always excited to see kagawa in action. Lovely player. Same goes for mata and januzaj. I want to see all of one three in action. We could create a axis like Chelsea used to do units hazard-mata-oscar. Just buy a strong midfielder these light weight players could just mesmerise . Atleast kagawa is getting his chances now. Should have been picked regularly. Just stop playing young then we will have good set of attackers.

@ John - that's funny. I think the SEF said they were going to do a poll on whether the banner stays either before or after the Bayern game so the banner may come down anyway, If they had not been so arrogant alot of acrimony amongst fans could have been avoided.

Wow, the trolls are out today to disrupt the blog, they always get a second wind after a win against a bottom half team, fools, you cannot wind me up, I know you are trolls and I know you are just here to attack and disrupt this site while occasionally trying to make comments to make it look like you are fans. The attention and importance you give and a few others at times is flattering, I feel like a King, the target of evil minions, defending the right of free speech of all true fans against trolls...come trolls, attack me, for I am the main man.

Back on topic, how great is Shinji Kagawa! Klopp said he was one of the best players in the world and world class, SAF said he would be a huge player this season. Kags, Mata, Janzaj, Welbeck, Nani, pass masters.

Bayern are playing incredible football at the moment, even with Fergie we would be in trouble. Fergie overcame Pep's Barcelona in 2008, but in 2009 and 2011 Pep's sides made easy work of Fergie's United in the finals. Unfortunately, Old Trafford is about the last place you'd expect Munich to lose a game now. Still, the boys will have no excuse if they don't throw everything they can conjour up at Munich anyway. Even if crash out, I rather seeing us in the last 8 than not.

On the other comments here... please... the plane stunt fails to turn OT against David Moyes, there is no mass protest and there's several chants for Moyes throughout the game, a round of applause when he walks out and a sea of fans went to greet him and get autographs etc. The plane was BOOed when it showed up...

So how is this explained on here by the usual suspects.... with contradiction and playing the victim of course..... OT "doesn't care about overseas fans opinions" and, at the same time, we're told OT secretly hates Moyes.... riiiiight..... so which is it???? I live overseas and I fly to watch as many games as I can get time for, and I've yet to have a bad experience as an overseas fan, I fit right in, keep up with the chants through friends etc. hit the traf bar, the blaze etc. never a bad moment in Manchester for me.. so that's bullshit. And as for the claim people just hate him secretly but go along with it... c'mon now, is that the best you can do.

That doesn't mean the match going fans, the season ticket holders and travelling fans don't have questions about Moyes... of course they do.. I DO TOO, but I don't HATE him. I can criticize him without acting like he's the devil. There lies the difference, and there's no doubt plenty in the stretty have their doubts, but they will back him as long as he has the approval of the club and the players, and it's really that simple. He may or may not be United manager for much longer, but while he is, they aren't going to pile on shit on the man. What happened at the City game was overblown, it was a small group of people, one tool who tried to seek out Moyes and was subdued by a stewart and probably never will step foot in the stadium again, and a small group who wanted to vandalize the property of stretford end flags... oh and a bunch of ingrates who decided to hurl verbal abuse at a 71 year old man who made the modern United the giant it is. The media focused on that and pretended there would be chaos at OT today but Moyes handled it like a boss... walked out before the payers with his chest out, didnt hide behind anyone and he got a warm welcome... he was right, the plane stunt was a waste of money.

Anyway, 4-1, still major questions about our defending and in the middle of the park, but some nice build up play here and there today, impressed with some players.. and Rooney showing his quality again! Oh and fucking delighted for chicharito!!! that boy needs more chances... and januzaj looking like himself again :-) good to see mata get on the score sheet. Fellaini showing good movement again today.. watch the build up to mata's goal and keep an eye on fellaini as he creeps from the corner into the middle of the box. Concerned about Rafa.

We should simply our form today into Tuesday night if we really want to make a statement this season. champions league is that we have got right now.

In all truth and honesty apart from the game against the Olympiakos, we did brilliantly in champions league and our disappointing premier league form along with the FA cup and capital one cup shouldn't be in par of what was our intention in Europe, I don't even know how this happened.its quite strange to be honest, as if Our single target this season was This mighty competition.anyway whatever the mysterious factor it's crucial to be fully prepared and equipped.not sure what will happen at Oldtrafford but we must get behind the team from the first minute to the end, players are down, board are down, fans are down.we all need a break.

The last time I checked it was the republik of mancunia and not the anti David moyes wank fest.com. It's about fucking time Scott the so called red started putting some decent shit to comment on up here again. I.e like a fucking match report saying how united played half decent against villa, instead of the usual anti moyes shite, honestly it's fucking boring, except for the 10 or so that seem to cut and paste the same pathetic shit in everyday, " this was a great team last year, moyes is the clueless one, clueless one we need SAF back, we need the same back room team from last year back, Felliani is shit, mata is out of position, kagawa isnt playing,we lost to liverpool and city,I'm going to cry if we don't win the league every year'.....blah fucking blah.

thats been the problem he never did replace carlos….i like mickey phelan but what does he bring as a number 2? not much really…i like rene aswell but i would like to see scholes and giggs retire at the end of the season and take up coaching roles, also wish nev was there swell

Scott the Red says:
Ji Sung – Did you read anything from the article? Can you show me where I said “how shite” Phelan is? Can you explain why you think I singled him out?

Our team isn’t as good as it has been so we need an experienced world class #2 to help us out. Phelan’s experience mean it’s impossible for him to have the experience we require. That is just fact, not opinion.

Even your best mate Scott, criticized Phelan's ability as our number 2. In this situation I did agree with both of them. I preferred Queroz as our number 2. But just wanted to point out you just like to lie and make shit up to make other person look bad. May I ask you 1 thing, what do you get by making up lies? Why cant you have honest conversation like other posters. Most of us have different opinions but we dont resort to lying and name calling just to win an argument.

a good good win, nothing special apart from Kagawa Mata and Januzaj + Rooney

OUR MIDFIELD IS SO WEKA, HOW WEAK IS IT? SO WEAK THAT even my grandma could do a better job out there (high quality)

IF anyone stil lthinks we don't need buying 2 midfielders who are starters, are deluded. Fellaini Carrick and Fletcher are good squad players, we need starters.

Our attack is immense though, Kagawa Mata Rooney Januzaj Welbeck Nani are one to watch, every team would want them

BTW anyone still thinks Rooney is a better second striker? heeeeeeell no.

Kagawa needs quality players around him, so does Mata and Januzaj

now, bring Bayern

Rooney
Welbeck Kagawa Valencia
Carrick Giggs

This is how I expect us to play.

peace.
