Moyes could actually play kagawa in midfield that's better than taking him off

It's always nice to beat Liverpool, but issues still need addressing. Jones' haircut, for example. It needs to go.

So Moyes really did take off a striker and bring on an extra midfielder with twenty minutes to go to hold on to a one-nil Lead? This is going to take some getting used to...

GREAT WIN!!! This is where all the guts and determination that we needed on Sunday went. Great spriit in the side and the crowd was behind them every step of the way. This is also a pretty good win because we did it against their strongest possible 11 that they could have put out tonight.

At the beginning of the game, I questioned Moyes picking Jones and Giggs in the middle. I must now admit my fault. BOTH of them were awesome especially when it came to tracking back and defending. They ensured the side maintained it's shape and solidity. Well done to them both. Moyes definitely made the right choice.

Well done lads. Good win considering the Scousers played their best line-up and we played without our first choice defenders, midfielders and striker. Undoubtedly, Chicha and Kagawa need to be played more often. Hopefully will realize that. Chicha should definitely start against Shakhtar.

pretty solid game, lacked finishing but we got the one we needed. the switch to a more strict 4-2-3-1 in the 2nd was what won it for us imo having Kags go on the right in front of Rafael really seemed to free him up and Nani looks like he could get back to his form a few years ago with a run of games. Chicha does what he almost always does, and Januzaj looked good when we weren't defending. Rooney had a solid game, still dont like him captaining the side but he worked his ass off and you really cant ask for more than that i suppose.

Ok performance, a win is a win. Not that impressive win but whatever couldn't ask for more with that lineup, a lot of players who havn't played much and Liverpool put their strongest 11 out there. Good win!

Worthless cup or not always brilliant breathing those wankers. Couldn't let them get one over on us so soon after Anfield. I thought it was a good game. High tempo and end to end in parts and maybe after 90 minutes it could/should have gone to extra time with the balance of play. Nani and Kagawa had their moments today but I was slightly disappointed that Kagawa wasn't given 90 minutes and also that Zaha didn't get a look in. Hernandez was excellent as well. Linked up play nicely several times as well beside his goal. He deserves more chances and I expect to see him Nani and Kagawa involved more on from now on. The centre of the park of course the less said the better. Jones and Giggs did as well as they can there but I said it after the transfer window that not getting Herrera or a top class centre mid will come back to bite us in the arse this season. Everyone knows this of course but we still haven't done sod all about it unbelievably.

MOTM Hernandez, Rooney, Smalling and Jones, they played very well.

the rest were a bit rusty but they needed this game t oput their foot on, and Nani is welcomed back to the starting line-up. NOw is it Young or Valencia to come off, at the moment Young, because we need Valencias speed and directivness rather Youngies turning and huffing, though he's a good squad player.

TOP NOTCh 20 minutes for our future #7 or #11 Januzaj, amazing stuff, his legs shaked a bit, but he's a young lad and I think he's been surprised with the 20-25 minutes he's getting. DEFINITELY OUR FUTURE STAR!

Nani looked great tonight and kagawa came into his own in the second half. Both looked like they could open up defences. Once fully fit and a front line adding rooney and van persie will score tons of goals. With Fellani and Carrick anchoring the midfield we will have enough defensive cover. Looking forward to the next game in anticipation.......

BTW

Does anyone notice how well Nani and Kagawa link up wit heach other? I think that's a great possibility, the difficulty is though, how to give gametime to Rooney, RVP, Welbeck, Kagawa and Hernandez at the same time and put Nani in the same equation.

I think after 2-3 games we wil lsee the best of Nani and Kagawa then put RVP up with Rooney and Hernadez lurking for that spot to score.

BTW CHICHARITO 10 goals in his 14 starts, NO NOT AS A SUB.

WE need Chicharito so much, scoring is what he does and scoring wins you games. He's a big time player for us, will score the United way or the poachers way.

peace.

"We fear no one!" Haha couldn't help but laugh at that. You have admit though tonight was actually an entertaining game which is what I want most when I watch United. Been far too many boring games this season and in recent years. Thought there were a few positives. Glad Rafael is back and we looked far more threatening with Nani, Kagawa and Hernandez out there. These are players actually capable of scoring goals. Exactly what we lacked against City seeing as Rooney was the only goal scorer on the pitch.

United were awesome!!!!! tonight.

Moyes showed some real class as well.

8 changes from the City game while Liverpool played their strongest 11.

Jamie Redknapp almost sounding a United fan

Redknapp: Liverpool lost playing against Man United reserves! Huge for David Moyes!
Redknapp: "Lit'l Pea Genius!" Ha! Get in Jamie. United fan innit? LOL! #MUFC

MOTM went to Jonny Evans, playing only his 1st match.
Januzaj got 15 minutes as well.

Tell me that is a manager who was scared! PUSH ON!
Corner for the goal? That was from Moyes screeming at Nani to get down the wing!

Manager won this for us and make no mistake. Big win for the manager! Big boost for the lads!
Derby win will always be tops for the support!

If we so start with the likes of Young, Valencia and Welbeck this Saturday I will be severer pissed off. I have a bad feeling at least two of them will start as well. If Young starts then......well.....

That was a very, very good performance.

Liverpool had a top match but they still couldn't score. Our back four were brilliant considering they haven't played much. Buttner, Evans, Rafa and Smalling really did us proud.

Nani, Hernandez and Kagawa looked the business too, and they'll get sharper with games. Loved seeing them knock the ball around. They're all great footballers.

Giggs was our best player imo. The stick he gets is unreal, but he was class and had a proper impact on the game. As long as he's used in the same way, he'll be important for us all season.

Im definitely pleased with our players today. We can build on that. Moyes' team selection was bang on today, he'll soon find himself with a fully fit and in-form squad. The Outlook is promising.

Also, if you think about it, the 3 big games we've have in the league were always less important than LFC in the cup. 1 point from 9 isn't great, but we won't lose our title in Sept. We could have been knocked out in Sept.

Thats the difference, and progressing in the cup is arguably more important for the Manager and the Club than going all out in those 3 games. Now things have calmed down what we need is a solid run of results. Our rivals will have to keep up with us heading into Xmas.

Im just glad my suspicions about Moyes thinking were right. That team was an improvement and we've got players coming back all the time. Moyes will settle on his best starting 11 soon enough, but he needs to see the lads perform in big games.
