Top class tribute to Claudio Ranieri from Jose, in the past they got in odd with each other few moments but obviously Jose have shown all reapect the Italian deserves!!

As for the draw, I guess the distance of the flight to the icy Russia alone is just a killer to think about, eastern Europe teams specially Russians are always challenging, tempo of the games are agile, with surprise factors, defensively orgainzed and never giving in attitude. So i guess its not a peanut draw, we are heading into a tough encounter specially first game, its tiresome physically for our lads, hopefully we get over the frost bite and come back with a good result and no serious injuries to face Chelsea!!!!

Zana it's southern Russia so the temp is about the same as Manchester in March, also Utd will charter a flight so 2,000 miles is only a 4 to 5 hour trip
To me Jose seems to be covering his ass just in case. It's better to get the away trip over with before the FA Cup tie Thursday to the Monday rather than Monday to Thursday get a extra day

Harry, didnt know its southern part, thanks for info. But frankly I was expecting somewhat closer destination, but certainlt Mourinho is right to be fully focused and not underestimating Rostov, they were tough at champions league group stage, and some little mind games from Jose is not bad either.

That CR Mourinho displayed on his Jersey is one of the most touching things I've seen in football from a manager in support of another manager. Leicester City are an embarrassment
I'm Honoured to be a supporter of Manchester United Football Club and I'm very very proud of Jose Mourinho.
MUFC- a class apart, a class above the rest!

Rostov won't be easy and neither will Chelsea but I'm optimistic. Put on your big boy pants lads. Stand up and be counted
We're going to war and for the fans travelling to Russia, please be careful. Remember the Euros !! England vs Russia. Bound to be a hostile environment

Harry nice to see u back commenting. The game in russia is going to be tough but we have enough to beat them and go through the tie. First things first lets trash soton and claim our first trophy this season.

I'm sure Harry factored in the time to get to the airport, to the hotel, loading and unloading and stuff. That's almost a half a day of traveling. Thanks don't know about you, I'm a very fit individual but half a day traveling it has some effects on me.

Most people aren't effected by a coach ride to the airport and a 4 hour plane trip especially considering in a footballers case travel almost weekly and don't play the same day their traveling.
My point being on a chartered flight traveling 2,000 miles is not much different to when the team uses trains for away games in England. Its not like they'll be traveling commercial with 2 stops on a 28 hour flight
Playing Bournemouth on the 4th gives the team 4 days in between before the away leg, then with the FA Cup being on the Monday it gives them 3 days between games.Which is better than a Wednesday/Saturday or a Thursday/Sunday so it's actually a very decent time frame compared to other weeks

Let's give Southampton a tonking tomorrow as revenge for our cup final defeat to them.

Was that really 41 years ago ? !

Hendrix that's funny, people commute miles everyday too and from work.In North America Hockey and Basketball players go on road trips last can last week's traveling 1,000's of miles and playing games every second night
As far as I know planes travel between 5 to 600 miles per hour,so I really don't see any argument for a team being tired after a 4 to 5 hour plane trip especially considering there's plenty of days in between both matches

I was really disappointed about Miki not playing in the final, however hearing the news that Carrick is fit to play brought smile to my face. Carrick's factor is important, having him even on the bench is satisfying and gives Jose more options in the midfiled.

I'm sorry we need to break the world record for Harry Kane next season if we can't get Aguero. I've said it before, we need to raid Spurs in the transfer window.

1. Harry Kane
2. Toby Alderweireld
3. Danny Rose

It's a nigh on impossible task for Harry Kane but we have to pursue him with vulgar persistence. Delle Ali is impossible to get. But the last two are very possible and desperately needed.
