@samuel

i did not say bench rooney. i said saying that rooney should be benched is wishful. no matter what everybody says, rooney will start every match for utd let alone against arsenal

i had a problem starting with rooney against sociadad (not much i can do though) as he had started 3 matches in a row and kagawa could have been easily played there.

rooney is one player which we need against arsenal and i am sure he will score

@wayne you know we have never been best pals, but we "respect" the way you can respect each others here on a BLOG. btw As for Valencia, he's now back ahead of Nani because now he deserves it, compared to his last season, Valencia is a different man. lets see how will Nani react. It's a good fight for the RW.

ALSO

Look. it's not all kumbaya, as the mourinho supporters or blue moons over here say it, but the main thing is to critisise the team, when they deserve it, and when we have played bad etc. don't critisise our team when we are 3-0 leading, or predict us to lose against swansea or whoever and then be happy when that happens.

Don't shit into our manager, hell I did not like the decisions SAF made, I hated some of the decisions and same with Moyes, but It's important to see beyond that and see that our team is progressing and we keep the possession more and our strikers are hitting form. Moyes also will have his players next season, cause this transfer-deadline came too early.

but yeah, hypocrites, I have always called them vampires that creep when everything doesn ot go well, hell. do you know how you spot the negative shitheads, the trolls and the truth's and johns?

IMAGINE this scenario,
Yesterdays Dortmud - Arsenal, but instead of Arsenal it's Dormund - Manchester United in CL which goes in the exact same way, Dortmund dominating the game, but suddenly we strike with a goal by Tom Cleverley and we end winning that game 0-1 exactly the same way Arsenal did.

Imagine that scenario, what would the thread here look like? probably
People bashing our team and calling us lucky and how we are shite and we will never win the CL with that kind of game and Moyes has lost it....
Now put Arsenal back in it, and suddenly Arsenal are strong and great and Wenger is a genius (he kinda is) but you get my point..

Spot the difference?

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

Just in,the new manifesto for being a true Red.
1. Never criticise the manager. David Moyes is right all the time as was Ferguson. It is a sign of gross disloyalty to oppose this principle,in any way
2. Don't speak ill of any English players.
3. Manchester United will defeat Arsenal everyday because David Moyes "knows a thing or two about Arteta". This is an infallible truth
4. It is not permissible to point out if the team has been playing below par.
5. All fans must rejoice as players are made to play in roles that do not suit them.
6. Any criticism of Wayne Rooney will result in facing the firing squad followed by post mortem banishment from any association with the name and identity of Manchester United FC.
7. The primary prerequisite of any United affiliation is "Support the gaffer and sing songs daily".
8. If Manchester United sign a rubbish player,he shall upon completion of contractual signature,be transformed into a world class player deserving unanimous adulation.
9. David Moyes is different from Gerard Martino of Barcelona,Manuel Pellegrini of Manchester City,Carlo Ancelotti of Real Madrid,Raul Garcia of AS Roma among other new coaches, and should be given "at least two seasons" to settle down. This is a universally accepted reality and the whole world is obliged to understand.
10. It is unlawful to call people who adhere to the principles of this new Constitution (as drafted by "a few high horse individuals on RoM",)zombies or delusional.

When did I ever post dirty stuff on here? Please dont accuse a person of something he's never done. I was giving an example of companies to WilliamAR and it was a fine conversation with him. Absolutely nothing to do with you. So what exactly is your problem?

You seem to have misunderstood what I meant. I certainly didnt say that the footballers are immune from criticism coz they're entertainers. I just said everyone, no matter their profession, need to be given time in their career. You're right, its an unfair world and everybody should ideally be treated the same. But the difference is that you want the footballers to be treated like the rest of the world whereas I want the rest of the world to be treated like how a footballer is treated.

If that means I can get away with driving offences, spit roast page 3 models, earn a gazzilion pounds a week then I'm all for it! ;-)

@20LEgend

I think despite us not agreeing on all aspects of things regarding the players and management, we've proved that having a difference of opinion doesn't mean we direct hostility to one another, and respect the other person regardless of the others differing opinions. Its just a shame not everyone is able to have a sensible discussion about things. That really ruins things here which is a pity.

This place is poisonous. What I don't get is why the WUMs who cry about this site being garbage still come on this site EVERY DAY to label United as no hopers and mediocre. Go form your own website like the ND58 boys did and leave the site. This is becoming ridiculous. I've been keeping quiet on this for a long time but it's getting worse and worse and worse. You don't think there is even ONE positiv thing about Manchester United right now? Not one? Unbelievable.

LOL there's difference between opinion and utter nonsense.
Tommy made a great point. How exactly do we know what's happening in training when some of us have not watched ONE SECOND of training this entire season? It's amazing. Abuse with no logical end point. Whine all the time and provide ZERO solution. If that's what is called "opinion" then I've missed something.

No new blog? STR must be sick or smth. The weekend is going to be huge. UnitedVSArse? No. Not that. Starcraft 2 Global Finals baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol sorry a little add...

On this weekend game I expect only victory. I know we are not in good form, but this is Arse we are talking about and at OT. Our players have been dominating them for years and a short bad/good form combo will not change in. In any way I am honestly feeling positive. Not sure about tactics though. Maybe dropping Rooney and going with Kagawa and Nani on right and Januzai on left with Belgian and hopefully Carrick in the middle. Raphael and Evra on flanks. Valencia and Ronney can come on in the second half in necessary. Thinking about numbers we do have a good team and should be doing better.

P.S. Would be good if people get off “the Truth”-s back. He is not a troll, he is just more pragmatic then the most on this blog.

Some thoughtful comments on both sides of the many debates above which is how it should be. One comment in particular gave me cause to ponder. It was said that football is in the entertainment business. Fine, to a degree although I think its a bit more that. Anyway, a juggler is also in the entertainment business. But any juggler who kept dropping his balls would soon be out of work.

Ahead of Sunday’s match Arsenal seems to be riding a crest while many pundits (and some on this blog) are expressing doubts about United and even predicting an Arsenal win. So what has happened (apart from the obvious change in management). Let’s look at the history first. Old Trafford has been a tough place for Arsenal. Since 1993 (21 matches) United have won 13 and Arsenal 3 (last time September 2006) with 5 drawn. During the same period at Highbury/Emirates, United have won 6, Arsenal 8 and 7 drawn. So in this so called rivalry United has clearly had the better of Arsenal.

But this is 2013. Let’s compare the sides since that 8-2 mauling in August, 2011. Of United’s starting 11 that day, only Anderson is no longer a regular in the team, and from the bench, only Park and Berbatov are missing. For Arsenal 5 of their starting 11 are either no longer at the club or on loan (RVP, Arshavin, Traore, Djourou, Coquelin) while only 2 of the 7 on the bench that day appear to be still in the club. So on the face of it, it would seem that United have had a settled team while Arsenal has been rebuilding. And of course, in terms of records United have tied for the title (that bloody goal difference) and won it. So now in 2013 is it that Arsenal have strengthened so much in the couple of years that is now paying off?

My first thought was that Arsenal has outspent us in recent years to rebuild their team. But it is not the case. From the 10/11 season to date United have spent 145.8 million pounds on transfers, Arsenal – 147.9 million pounds. Is it that Arsenal might now be reaping greater benefits from theirs, coupled with the fact that some of our key players are now creeping towards pensions. Or, this is really all just early season madness and normality will be restored come January.

Who have we bought in the three years: Kagawa, RVP, De Gea, Jones, Young, Fellaini, Zaha, Buttner, Henrique, Powell,, Varela. You see the problem, not criticizing the younger ones but how many of those are presently regular first teamers. Arsenal purchased Ozil, Podolski, Giroud, Cazorla, Gervinho, Santos, Arteta, Mertesacker and Oxlaide-Chamberlain, plus Flamini for free and with the exception of Santos and Gervinho they all play regularly. Though from that lot, I would only take Cazorla and Ozil, bar Ozil they have all been together for at least one full season, and are the only team among the top four (does Spurs count?) who did not change management. By contrast, some of our issues are obvious and have been debated on this site – new manager and system – poor midfield –out of form wingers – tactics, etc . Two teams going in different directions? No, I don’t think so, but United does need some freshening up. Will be interesting to see DM’s tactics, Arsenal are loaded in midfield we are loaded up front. It’s Old Trafford and it is Arsenal, United to shade it.

Injury Update:
Interesting what Moyes says about Carrick ahead of weekend.
Welbeck, Cleverley were all training ahead of the spain. Cleverley traveled but didn't make the bench.

Rafael still a long shot. As is Fletcher.

Very interesting who are the CB pairing.
Would like to see Carrick with Vidic and Evans.

King Eric, Hahaha Too right. What have Arsenal won? Even if they beat us, What have they won? Nothing in 8 years. Still haven't gotten out of the group and tabloids are miss interpreting a slight from Klopp as him saying Arsenal could win it. Sure they could win it. But you'd have to be a rusty red to put money on it.

The Truth hurts, that's why he chose the name. It is his intention to anger all United fans. No matter what drivel he projects, he is not a United fan or supporter. He pretends that he aims to bring balance, but he is the most biased contributor to this forum. Whenever possible he points at a comment that may have some pro-United bias, and produces a scornful, belittling response that only a totally biased opposition fan would make.

There is absolutely nothing that he could ever say that would convince me otherwise, for he blatantly lies to new-comers all the time. He's a scumbag. Sooner or later, this snide coward will cross the wrong person, and then hurt will be his truth. Deep down it's what he wants.

Hey King Eric, all good mate? These fucking imbeciles clapping each other on the back, as though their aren't hundreds of us watching who know exactly what they're about. Some unsuspecting poster chats to them, and they think they control the blog. They change their views from day to day, depending on what mischief works in the moment. I'm glad I support United, these cunts are so bored by their own team that they'd rather be here being pitied and scorned by people they can't see. John is brain-dead. I think he thinks he's actually saying something. Perhaps he thinks in a different language.

More drivel coming out of your mouth, I can take people criticizing the manager and certain players as everyone has a right to an opinion but to criticize without given a valid reason is pathetic Grow up!!
