@Hans

Honestly - Pogba, no regret. He went to Italy, he got his money, he can fuck off as far as I'm concerned. It doesn't matter how well he does, how good he gets - no regrets whatsoever. We've instead got Fellaini, who really does want to play for us, money isn't his motivator, packed full of class. If you're looking for our new 'Roy Keane', then look no further than microphone head. Fuck Pogba.

Stoke miss a seater

If shity plays like this next weekend we'll Rip them to shreds
They are average, I don't know if the selection might have distracted their flow, but at the moment they don't appear to have championship winning quality

As for the Young bashing, he had a really good game today. Final ball wasn't quite there yet but still early doors, his confidence is definitely coming back. Honestly people, if you compliment one player it doesn't mean you then have to bash another to even it out.

My god that Januzaj is impressive. I thought it was just pre season form against some nobody clubs but the way he just float and glides on the pitch. It's like a silky smooth berba with pace to burn. This for me was Moyes' best game. Even A. Young played well, imagine that. I feel if Moyes was to continue playing youth and positive players, no one would blame him if we lost. We were quite dominant and the only thing missing was the pace of passing in the final third.
Quite telling how we play when Giggs and welbeck are not in the pitch.

After all fellaini can pass
He's not my cup of tea but he composed himself quite well.
Not trying to be negative but against pacey slicky players he'll struggle, I just hope the whole team support him on the reverse has he's not the fastest of center mid you can find out there.

We were bossing that game, so not the most appropriate to judge. Not that its required, just to clear matter out.
Great cameo though

Januzaj is similar to Ozil in his gameplay, give him time he will be our next star.
I think we have good bunch of young stars to come. Pereira, Zaha, Lingard, Keane, Powell...these all have the capabilities to be the world beaters. I wish they all get good nurturing and we didn't lose any or them.

Januzaj after the game

”It felt great and I was shocked because I played 25 minutes and that was my first game.

“I think I did some good things but that was only my debut and I have to keep doing what I am doing on the pitch.

“I appreciate the very good reception. They gave me a bit of power when I came on the pitch and I am very happy.

“I hoped to get a goal but I have tried to do the best for the team and set up goals.””
“My family was here watching me and I hope they will be proud”

When asked whether he wants to feature more for the first team this season, Januzaj said: ”Yes of course. I want to play more games and I hope I have another chance to play for the first team and if I do, I will give everything to the club.

Thought it was very interesting comparing the first 5-10 mins of Fellaini vs Adnan. Adnan wanted the ball, seemed to barely notice there were over 70,000 people watching. Fellaini spent his first 5 minutes standing beside Carrick, looking a little intimidated by the stage he was on. I guess that is the difference in being brought through the ranks and not. Moyes said of Fellaini before the match: "We have to develop him into a United player", which I think is true. It's going to take a little time but I think he could be great for us.

Someone once said (I think it was a United manager but don't hate me if it was another team) that you had to be brave enough to want the ball and good enough to know what to do with it once you get it. I've always felt that was true of great United players. Hopefully in Fellaini and Adnan we've just got ourselves 2 more!

That kid @Iced earth is a genius, abit of both ronaldo and giggs in him... He's great. His technical ability will see him through.
He's not the strongest but boy will get you a lot of free kicks.
See, I've no problem with players diving while demonstrating something else to back that up.

Watching the Arsenal vs Sunderland match and they seems to be a force this year..they are stronger than Manchester city.
I don't know but I am more fearful of Arsenal and Liverpool than City or this year although Liverpool doesn't have the depth in their squad but they are absolutely a force this year.
Also Chelsea have that dirty mourinho effect in their squad, nothing else worries me more than his dirty tricks.

IMO fellaini had a very good cameo. Once he came on, it was like united put the pedal. To the metal, we completely dominated and set up a lot of good chances. We also played very well. Fellaini actually took over from Carrick and was the most influential midfielder. Fellaini. Should start on sunday. He was better than ando and he is def better than cleverly. But januzaj was on point since coming on. Janujaz stole the show, and made it look too easy. What a talent.

Stoke held City to a scoreless draw... means they have lost the same number of points as us so far with a MUCH easier set of opening fixtures. I'd be shocked if we don't come away from the Etihad with all three points, very shocked. I'd say that if Kompany is even 70% fit they will throw him on against United, they'll panic.

Thank fuck for Moye's honesty. Young better shape up, you're not going to score points with anyone acting like that.

Rooney looked happy, RVP looks a bit brooding now lol but maybe he was upset with himself for not scoring more goals. Still, future looks bright, Januzaj looks sick!! can't wait for him to sign contract.

right....that makes so much sense you know because he managed to con managers into giving him 100 caps.... Lampard is the most over rated piece of shit half his goals come from Penalty spot and he thinks he's some midfield messiah

Carragher is a daft bastard. Let England have him I was fine with Scholesy retiring from England and give us more years than we could hope for!

Probably should have been more than 2-0 especially after them going down to ten men. Adnan looked very good when he came on, he will be a great inside forward for us, a bit like Özil for Arsenal. There was some proper idiots on here saying Özil isn't worth the money Arsenal paid for him and that he won't adapt to the premier league. Well if that was anything to go by Özil will walk this league as one would expect from someone as talented as he is. Fellaini looked decent, but this was a piss poor palace side so it's still unclear how he will fare in our system when up against tougher opposition. Valencia's wing play is worryingly poor. I'd start both Adnan and Zaha in front of him, and Ashley Young can stop diving now because it's getting embarrassing.

Incredible stat from Scott "Anderson was on the pitch for over an hour and completed 32 passes. Fellaini, who replaced him, completed 41 passes." Shocking. Anderson has been given far too many chances to shine and Fellaini's cameo today put it all in perspective. We have to cut our losses at some point.

Well pleased at the result, 2 goals from our 2 star men? Who is to complain!

Re: Kagawa, You all need to get a grip. Guardian reporting he has the flu and was always likely to be rested after the International games AND his late flight home.

Re: Young, Moyes will have a word http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8921736

3 points in the bag. 7points in the title race. Up to 5th on goal differential
2W 1D 1L and City still to come. This has been one difficult First 5 games and make no mistake. Be nice to see the back of September!

Proverb says:

Yeah, as I thought, no time to settle, and has added another dimension to Arsenal. They will definately look much different with him, composure and assists for simple tap ins.

Spurs also look very good. These two teams will pose more problems than City or Chelsea this season I have a feeling.

Having said that, Januzaj is just a pleasure to watch, and I hope we integrate him asap into the core of the team. Amazing talent. Having him and Kagawa on the same pitch would be hard not to pick any defence.

It's always unfair to see players like AY18 and Valencia playing ahead of Kags, Nani, Saha and even Januzaj; however, d manager have the final say. Very glad Fellaini shows he will fit into the team just like Van Persie did when he arrived from Arsenal last season; and would could I say about Januzaj, he is a Wizkid, d future of Man Utd according to MF31. Moyes, bring in Kags, Nani and into this team and we will get the neccessary balance in terms of creativity, even small boy Januzaj show that we he came in. Good win afterall.

Good outing for the belgian duo.Especially Januzaj who will be more confident about playing in a Premier League game.A lone move seems like a waste at the moment.Hope to see him in future playing with the first team.
As for young it's quite shocking the flack he is getting while valencia gets a free pass. The latter was absolutely horrible, made some good touches but his crosses are so off the mark it's unbelievable.Although he provides balance on the right hand side but on current form I do not consider him to be a regular starter.

Mr C September 14, 2013
Young actually played quite well before he was taken off, until then he was probably the striker who showed the most to Palace. The haters need to get a grip; other players tend to get a free pass from the baying mob when playing not so well. Young ain't shit, it's just that there seem to be better options. Regardless, I dislike intensely Young's habit of going down at the first opportunity. If you look at his body shape at the sending off incident he was readying himself for another pike and full twist. That being said, it was a foul. The sending off ruined the game as a contest - in context it seemed a bit harsh - bugger the directives refs should use some judgment. The penalty and a booking would have sufficed.

Adnan. Top boy, a fine cameo. Vision, touch and balance. What you expect from a proper United front player. Fellani - he did fine too. We definitely improved with those two on the pitch. Good to see Chico get a run out, albeit all to brief too. Just looking forward to Kagawa getting back .

The only minus for me was seeing Rooney in a red shirt. Top goal, no question but that's Rooney all over these days - Wayne can score even while playing relatively shit. Even so, I don't care what the fan boys with short memories say, would give my right arm to see him fucked off, especially as he needs us more than we need him. More importantly, the merc is bed blocking the youngsters development- shame no one came in with a serious bid for Rooney in the summer.

On a more positive note, no fears for me from the likes of Chelsea and City, and Liverpool don't count - they've had their 'Cup Final' sad tossers and it'll be downhill from there. Arsenal?....said at the beginning of the season they are dark horses...Wenger ain't no mug and they've got some half decent players right now.

Some people making it is if Adnan is the best thing since sliced bread. He came on, did well, against a tiring 10 man that was ran rugged on the left side by Young and Evra.

If anything Valencia and Anderson should be the ones pointed out for their performances
  • Log in to Reply
Mr C September 14, 2013
@Rukky I didn't see Valencia or Rooney performing any better than Young before he went off; Young was certainly offering Palace more problems up front than either of those two at the time. According to your logic Young is responsible for each and every other member of the side playing below par which is selective, self serving bollocks.

Go and get some glasses then re read what I said, namely: "Young ain’t shit, it’s just that there seem to be better options." IMHO those 'better options' include Adnan and Zaha for the likes of Young, Valencia and Giggs. So what's exactly is your point?

The whole team played better with Adnan and Fellaini on.
